- Amazing stuff- Nofan and Sam were really helpful - great value for money - amazing pool ( gets cleaned pretty often) - the bungalow is quite rustic and you may find some insects and geckos around, but if you don't mind then that's great. - lush and well kept garden - they offer water in the office ( that's a great thing on an island) - quite close to restaurants ( you can also order stuff and they will bring it to your bungalow) - it's always best to ask for what you need ( towels, toilet paper, etc- they are more than happy to give it to you) - we went on a trip with them and we really enjoyed it. Our driver Bayu was very accommodating and helpful, plus always cheerful -all in all we had a great stay there for around 2 months

Amazing staff, perfect location, very comfortable bed and fantastic, delicious breakfast, delivered to my door! Lovely pool. Absolutely amazing value.I loved my 3 weeks at Kulkul and would absolutely stay here again. My own air-conditioned bungalow with breakfast for less cost than some hostels!

Not a criticism as this place is such amazing value, but the bungalow interiors are very basic and the wifi is not great.

lovely place, 10 mins driveaway from the harbour so good location, would recommend hiring a scooter. helpful staff. gorgeous pool and decent breakfast, always delivered to the balcony on time. they offered room cleaning every day

some of the cabins around the property were still under construction, it wasn't loud but this might bother some people. twice we asked for more toilet paper and they said they have to go to the shop and buy more witch was a little strange, same with the weather filler, it was often empty with no spares

Amazingly beautiful swimming pool, super friendly staff, and gorgeous terrace area in front of my bungalow. I wish I could’ve stayed longer. Really appreciated the amenities in the room - desk, fridge, really good AC, good wifi, pool towels and good soap. Great value for money, and more privacy and quiet than other locations I stayed.

The bedding was a little basic - I found the blanket a little small and would’ve preferred a sheet.

I was in this accommodation for more than 10 days. I liked it very much. The accommodation is very good and has everything for the simple traveler. A large room with table, closet and ac. The bathroom is big enough and clean. Every day there is a delicious breakfast that you can choose yourself. Wifi works properly. The pool is clean and comfortable. There is always someone there if you have a question or a concern. Water refill is free, which is a very good idea to reduce plastic. I can't say anything negative, I really liked it here.

If you like glitz and glam and are high maintenance, please don't stay here. Not because you won't like it, but because the people who work here deserve to be treated with kindness, respect, and don't need your drama. For us, the absolute best part was the staff. Aguss, Novan, and the other staff were extremely helpful and awesome! We had an issue with our a/c unit and they fixed it right away. We needed more toilet paper and they brought it immediately. We would've been happy if they got around to it at some point in the day, but it's obvious that they care about the work they do and the service they provide. We also enjoyed spending time with them. In the late afternoons/evenings we would sit in the office area and just chat with them. They are so welcoming, friendly, and warm-spirited that we were sad to leave. We enjoyed the gardens and relaxed by the pool. The rooms are spartan, but clean and nice; appropriate for the price and include a/c. We especially liked that the property is tucked away at the end of a dirt road so it's far enough that you don't hear the hustle and bustle of the busy street but is also walking distance from the restaurants and shops. And, on the walk back to the bungalow, you can look up and enjoy the starlit sky while strolling alongside a beautiful temple surrounded by lovely frangipani.

Our stay at Kulkul Bungalow was absolutely fantastic! The location is beautiful, surrounded by a lot of trees. The bungalows are very cozy and clean. There is a pool also if you want to take a swim or just chill. They also provide a scooter rental. The staff is wonderful, they made us feel very welcomed and they were always available. You are the best and we thank you so much for everything 🙏🏻 Their dog is adorable and he really loves to play with you! We highly recommend this place! We miss it already and surely would come back on our next visit to Nusa Penida.

Breakfast was always delicious and very convenient. Simply placed on the table on the terrace at the time you requested and left for you to get around to. It didn't feel like an obligation in the morning. Staff were all very friendly and super easy going. We enquired about the morning snorkelling fairly late at night and when we expressed interest in doing it the next morning, they simply told us the time we'd need to leave and organised it for us. Laundry services were cheap and fairly quick. All folded nicely and packaged for you.

The bathrooms have a tendency to have a few mosquitoes, but for us they didn't infiltrate into the bedroom, which was a relief.

I loved the pool. It is the best pool I had in the entire trip. You can actually really swim there and it is beautifully surrender by plants and trees. The breakfast was very tasty. I liked also to have tea and a kettle in the room. The staff was very helpful. It was not close to the main street so you did not have noise of cars or motorbikes which was very nice.

My bungalow was a bit old compared to some others that were on the propety.
