We have been to Hotel Vila Lumbung before covid (approx 5 years ago) and although the hotel is lovely it is showing its age a little. The pool is still fabulous, staff were a little overwhelmed I felt and not as attentive as they were on our last visit , however the staff finally changed our room as the aircon was not working in the Vila we were given initially after my husband made a few complaints . We still had a fairly nice stay though although a bit disappointed by the actions of other guests at the hotel at the time and after a bit of a rocky start.

Other guests at the hotel should be more considerate of others just because you are large family group does not mean you own the hotel. A swim up bar should be for adults and not for young kids with their pool toys and throwing balls around and being excessively noisy, the larger main pool is more suited to kids , but in this day and age it's amazing how much as people we have become extremely self centred and self entitled and have a great lack of respect for others , not a nice place to be !!

My stay at Vila Hotel Lumbung was a delightful experience, largely thanks to its charming lobby that exuded a welcoming atmosphere. The spacious rooms provided ample comfort and tranquility, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploration. The breakfast spread was not only delicious but also diverse, catering to various tastes and preferences. Moreover, the staff's hospitality and attentiveness truly enhanced the overall enjoyment of my stay, leaving me with fond memories and a desire to return.

While my stay at Vila Hotel Lumbung was overall enjoyable, there were a few aspects that could be improved. The internet connection was often unreliable, and the constant need to enter passwords became tedious. Additionally, I found the lack of facilities in the cupboards to be somewhat disappointing. However, despite these minor inconveniences, I still thoroughly appreciated my time at the hotel and would consider returning in the future.

the gardens/grounds, huge trees create a magical setting, friendly attentive staff paricularly some of the young female hosts who are lovely (thank you for the cake and singing Happy Birthday to me), location very good, breakfast was quite good. Overall good value for the price paid. 4 of us stayed with 3 in Deluxe Lumbungs and 1 in a room, would go the lumbungs over rooms.

not much, hotel is a little tired in appearance and you might find something like inside of a fridge dirty or aircon not the best. staff however did their best to attend and remedy any issue. I had a big step in bath/shower which may be a little unsafe for some although my friends all had walk ins.

We love hotel vila lumbung so much! This was our second stay! The room, staff and location are all so great!

The shower was a little cold. Other than that, no complaints!

A few little improvements to the room for updating Vila’s like wine glasses available in room, bar fridge updated, very small leak in bathroom but all things that can be fixed easily! And feedback was received very well. My thanks for such a wonderful stay!

What I liked about Hotel Vila Lumbung: 1. Warm Hospitality: The exceptional welcome and the staff's humbleness, love, and respect truly stood out, reflecting the beautiful Balinese culture. 2. Accommodation: The rooms were luscious, spacious, and offered stunning views of the pool—a perfect place to relax and unwind. 3. Natural Surroundings: The lush greenery, including trees, shrubs, and bamboo, created a serene and therapeutic atmosphere. 4. Food and Drinks: Every meal was a delightful experience, with tasty and well-prepared food and beverages. 5. Overall Ambiance: The peaceful and beautifully designed environment felt like a complete escape, leaving me refreshed and rejuvenated. 6. Memorable Experience: As a first-timer in Bali, the hotel gave me a great introduction to the island with unforgettable memories and experiences. It’s a place that effortlessly combines relaxation and charm, and I look forward to returning!

If there’s anything to mention about what I didn’t like during my stay at Hotel Vila Lumbung, it would probably be the presence of mosquitoes. While the lush greenery and tropical atmosphere added to the charm, it also seemed to attract a few of these unwelcome guests. However, this is quite typical of tropical locations and didn’t overshadow the overall incredible experience. A little extra mosquito repellent could easily solve this minor inconvenience.

It's a nice hotel. The check in was seamless, and we were welcomed with a welcome drink. The staff are very friendly. You can feel the pride of the staff and they really strive to offer the best service.   The layout of the villas is beautiful, and the pool area and gardens are well maintained.  The room is serviced daily. I had a pleasurable stay, and the location is great as it's close to many bars and restaurants but hidden in the back so you don't hear all the noise from the road and party people. The security team at the front are wonderful and you really feel safe within the hotel grounds. Not saying that outside felt unsafe, just that we knew that everyone inside were fellow guests or part of the hotel.

Scratching beneath the surface, the actual villas themselves could do with a refurbishment, with squeaky doors and cabinets, and the towels and linen need some attention.  Unfortunately, you have to pay for special coffees, like a cappuccino or latte, as only the filter coffee is included in the breakfast. Also, fresh fruit juices weren't available at the buffet. However, you can order fresh juices, which are delicious The music at the breakfast could also do with a rotation. If feels as if the same song is on a loop.

I really enjoyed the peacefulness of this place... The staff were great... Pool with swim-up bar is awesome... Room was big and beds were comfy... Really Balinese style. Location was great for me.

Everything was great!! Def recommend.
