Stunning villas. Absolutely spotless. Incredible food. Amazing friendly staff. Beautiful views. A super lovely dog on site. Great recommendations - the list goes on. We would 100% come back to this place.

There was nothing we didn't like but make sure you read the property description carefully. There is an outdoor bathroom, which is private and I liked it but it can take a little bit of getting used to (showering with a gheko and frog staring at you for instance, :). If you don't like nature and animals, it's not the spot for you. But if you're down with those things, you aren't going to want to leave. We loved this place and the area.

We had a brilliant time at White Tortoise. Christina and the rest of the staff were attentive and friendly and great communicators at every point during our stay. The villa was absolutely beautiful and the breakfasts were also delicious. We had a scooter during our stay which made getting about easy - lots of fantastic restaurants, cafes, shops, beaches all a quick ride away. The location is probably too far out to be walkable but taxis are easy to book and/or a scooter makes it easy to get anywhere - and that little bit of distance from the main areas means its mostly very quiet and chill. A couple of nights music could be heard and there's a bit of ambient noise from roosters and dogs but it doesn't impact the quality of the experience. We had monkeys turn up a couple of times on the balcony but they were easy to shoo away and it just made the experience all the more memorable. We would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend it to others.

Lovely villas with outstanding service! Particularly the staff were amazing. Very kind, attentative and up for a chat with great recommendations. The resident cat Whitey may come and great you and hang out on your porch or nap on your couch. Very calm and sweet cat. Breakfast can be ordered to the villa and is delicious. Good coffee too! We had to leave at 6:30am on the day of our departure and the staff kindly prepared take away breakfast for us. Unfortunately, it rained all the way through our 2 day stay so we didn’t get to enjoy the sunbeds and private pool. Tragic…. But in all seriousness, even without the pool use the villa was our favourite accommodation in Bali so far and we’ve been here several times. The hammock chair on the porch is a great alternative. And the bed was very comfy. The location is a little bit trickier to get to and requires a scooter or a grab. Not exactly walkable to the main road. But we enjoy being a little away from the hustle and bustle and a quick 5-8mim drive gets you to the high street. Highly recommend.

The staff were so lovely and welcoming and really took care of me as I was travelling alone. The property is really well located, nestled in the hills and just a short scooter's ride away from cafes, beaches and other spots (you need to get a scooter everywhere so this isn't a criticism!). I was looking for somewhere peaceful but also where I could easily and quickly get to the beach and nearby attractions so the location was perfect. The breakfast was so good, honestly the same quality if not better than the food I had in restaurants outside. Would definitely recommend and would come back with my partner!

Great property! We stayed for a week and it was very comfortable. The staff were incredibly friendly, going out of their way to help at every opportunity, and they had great advice about what to see and do in the area. The breakfast was delicious too. There are only a few rooms at the property so it was always calm and peaceful. The main busier areas with restaurants, bars and market stalls are a short taxi away (and taxis are very cheap to book), so you can be close to the action but still get a good night’s sleep without being disturbed.

the location felt remote but it was only a 5 minute ride into Uluwatu to restaurants, beaches and shops. you could retreat to your own private green space complete with pool and sensational views. the staff and owner Patricia couldn’t have done more for us, recommending great restaurants and places of interest. nothing was too much trouble - we felt so relaxed and safe. the breakfasts and lunches were AMAZING - great selection and super fresh. Maya (the dog) and Whitey (the cat) always greeted us like family - I considered them part of the fantastic staff! we stayed in the jineng and joglo and loved both. our preference would be the smaller joglo as husband struggled with stairs. both were very private and well-appointed we will return as husband and I agree, it was the most relaxing stay we’ve had in Bali thank you Patricia and the whole staff - Teddy, Christina, everyone 🙏🏼

It is not 5 star - it is a luxury eco villa with a nice design. It was just a bit far from town which didnt really matter as 'grabs' were easy. But would have been great if because of the location it could have been quieter - as there was a fair amount of traffic noise. Having to lock the doors because of monkeys entering was 'unique' and amazing. GREAT for a unique and short stay... Padang Padang Beach was fabulous.

Stunning villa with private pool and outside shower and toilet. The staff are so helpful and always happy to help. The food is incredible and very reasonable priced! We did the floating breakfast which was fantastic!

Bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper. Cockerels start crawing very early and there are always dogs barking. The air-conditioning was very noisy overnight. These are very small issues though and in no way take away from our experience here.

The team are so helpful and welcoming, the property was in great condition, the villa was exactly as it appeared in the photos. The breakfast is absolutely amazing (particularly the pancakes) and the fact they will bring it to your room each day is an added bonus.

Unfortunately there is currently a construction site next door, which slightly interrupted enjoyment of the property at times during the day. The only other point to note (and this is not a negative necessarily but more for guest’s information ahead of booking) - the immediate surrounds is not walkable so to get to anywhere else in Uluwatu you will need to hire a scooter or use Grab/Gojek to get around (it is approx. 5 mins to the Padang Padang area which is the closest for entertainment).
