Josephine and the team were very friendly and welcoming. We got in late the first night, and it was so nice to arrive to a cosy clean room. Loads of breakfast options to suit all tastes (Gordan Ramsay would be proud of the scrambled eggs). The pressure in the showers was fantastic, especially after a long day exploring Mayo. The property itself is large with plenty of privacy, and you never feel like you're in anyone's way. Rooms were spotless, as was the dining area. For those travelling with electric cars, there are slow chargers located nearby at the Solas centre, as well as the local community centre (about 3km away), and a fast charger in Belmullet town (out of order during our visit). Altogether a great place to stay if you plan on visiting Mayo.

We have returned to the UK today from our trip to Ireland. I’m not someone who normally leaves reviews but this time I felt it was only fair to tell you about this fantastic property. We booked the family room with en-suite for an 8 day stay to attend a friends wedding and have a family holiday. Upon arriving at the property (we were early) we were greeted by the warmest and kindest lady. She showed us to our room and we were very pleased with the space we had. 2 adults, a teenage boy and a 5 year old had plenty of space to store everything and move about freely. The view from the room was spectacular with sea views and even the opportunity for us to witness the Northern Lights on our second evening. Upon arrival we were provided with scones and tea and then left to unpack our belongings and start to explore the area. Josephine, the landlady, was so helpful, offering advice on where to go, what to see. She was always free for a chat and was very sweet with our young daughter. The breakfast options were amazing and whilst we (the adults) primarily ate the Irish Breakfast, the children enjoyed pancakes, fruit, pastries, yogurts, cereals. The coffee in the mornings was very welcomed and tasty. The communal space downstairs was very comfortable with lots of information on the local area, playing cards, sofas, rocking chair and the garden had a swing and slide too. Josephine was an amazing landlady and went above and beyond for us throughout our entire trip. We hope to return in the future.

Lots of added items to make stay better e.g. tea bags, biscuits etc in the bedroom, shampoo etc in the bathroom.Breakfast was excellent and there was a large selection of options everything was cooked and was fresh and was tasty.. The view from the bedroom was fabulous. Great sea views. Lots of parking. Josephine was very helpful and a joy to talk to. Would highly recommend this property and will definitely return again. Exceptional host, Josephine is so warm and welcoming, communication was excellent. The breakfast was absolutely delicious both mornings and got a massive thumbs up from ourselves and our kids. The room was spotless and had the best pillows ever. Even though we didn't get the best weather, the tidal pool was a treat and the sunset on our first night was spectacular. The view of the lighthouse from our room was really lovely to see at night. The people we met in Bulmullet were very nice people. Thanks so much .

Josephine is an amazing host, made us feel very welcome from the minute we arrived. The house is immaculately kept yet still relaxed. Comfy room, great views and a perfectly prepared breakfast.

It's no reflection on Bru Chlann Lir, but do some planning before your stay as pretty much everything requires driving / hiking / cycling. We were nursing a knee injury at the time so pretty limited, but that's our problem. The area is quite remote if you're hoping for craic but a great "get away from it all" with amazing beaches and some fascinating history.

Beautiful home in stunning location on the Belmullet Peninsular. Josephine was friendly, we had great chats, and she cooked a delicious vege breakfast (our best scrambled eggs in Ireland!) both mornings. Made us a cuppa and slice of cake on arrival and had suggestions of places to visit. We loved walking to the beach, sitting in the summer house looking for the Northern Lights and walking to the west coast at sunset.

Nothing could have been better.

We were so lucky to have booked this place. Very welcoming and friendly host. The room was immaculate, cheery and comfortable. Shower was great. No complaints at all. The breakfast choices were countless with everything cooked fresh. Such a variety of cereal options, juices, yoghurt, nuts, seeds, dried fruit and fresh fruit. My dietary needs were easily and generously accounted for, which I really appreciated. Impressed by the added touch of fresh scones and lovely coffee on arrival. Josephine, the host, has every detail covered and fully deserves these excellent reviews. The location is remote as you would expect but this is a positive... Peace, fresh air, stunning views and walks are plentiful. The nearest beaches were beautiful. The walk around Erris head is stunning. The drive into town is 15 mins, where there are supermarkets and eateries. We ate in the Talbot which I would recommend. Look no further, book Bru Chlann Lir and relax!

Nothing. It was all perfect.

The breakfast was excellent. I chose the parts of the full Irish breakfast that I wanted and had a bowl of excellent porridge. I had no complaints. Josephine was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. There was space to have all the guests eating at separate tables. Parking spaces were wide. The shower was excellent and the bed was firm but comfortable

There wasn't anything that I didn't like. I didn't explore the other options at breakfast, but I could see that there were other options that would have less calories than the full Irish breakfast.

The owners and staff are very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was extremely good, probably the best breakfast I've had at a B&B. Great choices to start with plus excellent Irish cooked breakfast or delicious home made pancakes. We had the family room and it was really spacious light and airy for 4 of us. Would happily stay here again. It's in a lovely quiet location but there is a lovely sandy beach about 15-20 minutes easy walk away.

Everything was good!
