We had a lovely and chilled out week at the Old Weir Lodge. Staff were fantastic, very friendly reception. A big shout out to the lovely ladies at Breakfast, they were fabulous, always cheerful and very helpful. Breakfast itself was great, lots of choice. Location was great, only 10 mins walk into town and there were a few places to eat & drink nearby. It was easy to explore from there. Ross Castle 5-10 mins drive. There is a small park nearby, by the river, great for a walk. Room was lovely and very clean everyday. Very comfy bed. Free parking. We will definitely be back.

Everything was great - especially the amazing breakfast! They really had everything on the buffet, and also had a full cooked to order breakfast, which was all included. We ate very well! We had a 5pm train booked on checkout day and they stored our luggage all afternoon for us so we could go to town. It was quite rainy, so we just went to lunch, but were able to come back to the hotel and relax in the lounge area while awaiting our departure. It was very comfortable for us all. Short walk to town, and close to the entrance to the park too. About 10 minutes either way.

The Old Weir Lodge is a charming, well-run facility with a very friendly front desk staff and helpful restaurant staff. It is walkable from the center of town and is definitely one of the better options for a Killarney stay. The front desk staff gave us a lot of helpful tips and information about the area and attractions. Breakfast options were good. The room was very spacious and the shower water pressure was excellent. Plenty of parking in front and back of the building.

The room carpet could use a spruce and deep cleaning. Bathroom needs an exhaust fan.

Beautiful building with lots of character, but with all the comforts of a 4star hotel. Rooms are spacious and bathrooms particularly large, the beds are also super comfortable. We got lots of advice from the staff at reception, who helped us hugely in selecting our activities and visits. But the most amazing thing is by far the breakfast, absolutely delicious. It is quite close to the center and right on the ring of Kerry.

Room facing the road meant it was not as quiet as one might have wished. Some towels were rather worn out.

My favorite memory about Old Weir Lodge is the staff!! They were so kind and easy to talk to, willing to help at every turn! The breakfast was very good in a gracious setting, which felt as though we were more than hotel guests, but rather guests in their home. The family room had three beds, which was perfect for our older kids, wish we had more of those in the States! The location was perfectly located for traveling around, in what we felt was a very safe setting.

Bathroom eventually needs updating, but it was clean, so not an issue.

The location of the lodge is perfect for people that are looking for quiteness. The lodge is a beautiful and causy house, the personnel very kind. Great breakfast served to the table and self-service as well. Beds are very confortable and the cleaning of the rooms is guaranteed. Overall, a lovely place!

Everything was good. If I had to say something, the location might not be the best for someone who wants to be in the centre of town. But for us a short walk of 15 minutes was perfect.

I booked two rooms and everyone agreed that everything was perfect. The location is a short distance to the city centre; rooms are nice and the staff are amazing, they are lovely and very approachable. The ladies from the breakfast are really friendly, they definitely have the gift on how to deliver a high quality customer service. The breakfast was amazing anyway...I could say more but don't want to give any more spoilers, so highly recommend 😉

I wish to stay longer.

Lovely property, ideal location, wonderful staff and a great breakfast - everything we needed during the trip. I was even able to get some laundry service during our stay, and they are so prompt. My husband and I especially enjoyed the private bar for residents which made it a very cozy & relaxing way to unwind at the end of the day.

Maybe getting water bottles in the room would have been helpful. But we picked up a couple from the gas station right across the street, and were well sorted.

Family run lodge, very friendly staff, central location on the Muckross Road, 5 minutes walk to killarney center and to all the sight seeing attractions very convient. Bike hire only a stone throw away..Muckross road has heavy traffic and if the bedroom window is open you hear it but when closed it doesn't disturb that much. A little lounge offers a night cap after a walking day and it's served by the staff.. The airport is 20 minutes drive away serviced by bus and also amazing taxi drivers. (If travelling with luggage do yourself a treat and it's worth the €35/€40 ...if sharing then devided amount you it's not that expensive)

Very friendly, professional and helpful owners and staff at check-in and with information and recommendations throughout our stay. Very clean and large room. Excellent breakfast every day too provided by a very friendly group of waitresses. Only a 10-12 minutes easy and direct walk into the town centre with a huge number of places to eat and drink. A perfect base to explore the lakes and mountains, the Ring of Kerry and the Dingle Peninsula.

Nothing springs to mind. Everything went very smoothly during our stay and we had no complaints at all (apart from the excessive rain on one day!)
