I stayed at Tom Blake House recently as I was attending a function in the locality. This is a very charming property and very centrally located within Kells. Our guestroom was quite spacious and very tastefully decorated and the bed was large and very comfortable. The hosts David and Avril were very welcoming and offered to drive us to the function we were attending, which we thought was very kind. We arrived early and they accommodated us which was very much appreciated. For breakfast, there was a number of options. We opted for a traditional Irish breakfast which was absolutely delicious and the coffee was excellent, A beautiful property with great hosts and I would highly recommend.

The lady was very kind and welcoming. The bands comfy. The room was big and spacious. The kitchenette was nice for tea.coffee and a bar of chocolate. The baileys was complementry as a night cap. all in all very nice. The breakfast was delicious and there was a fine choice of 4 sweet or savoory optiosn.

it was a bit pricey, 200 for 1 night in kells! but it was worth it this time anyway! we had a ball at the wedding just down the road.

It's simply a cozy and nicely decorated home. Thanks David and the lady host (sorry we didn't ask for her name) for their hospitality, making us feel so welcomed throughout the stay. The room was clean and spacious, with all the necessary facilities. The bed was big and comfortable. It was a wonderful experience to enjoy the nice breakfast with such tasteful tableware.

We stayed here last month for a wedding nearby , the property was gorgeous, well laid out, the room was perfect and spotless. The host even gave us a lift to the venue to save us the hassle of taxis. I didnt go down for breakfast but my partner did and she loved how accommodating the hosts were. Even made me some food to bring upstairs.

Great location and really welcoming hosts who were happy to go above and beyond to help us during our stay. The house itself is beautiful and is in a great location and allowed us to easily get a bus to Dublin. The breakfast included was lovely, and the rooms were spacious and clean, thanks!

The only thing I could complain about was the weather!

The place is absolutely beautiful and immaculately clean. The interior design is stunning throughout, with lovely touches throughout. The bed was so comfortable we stopped for a power nap after checking in that we missed our dinner reservation, but that wasn't an issue as we clearly needed it! David and Avril were amazing hosts, breakfast was fantastic and we had a lovely time. 100% recommended if you're looking to stay in Kells

Avril and David were so accommodating to our late check in. The house and room were tastefully and beautifully decorated. The bed was extremely comfortable and the cooked breakfast was outstanding. So much choice available for food and made to feel so welcome. Would definitely stay here again.

Fab location and easy to find. Within walking distance of kells town but still in a quiet area of town. The hosts were really friendly and helpful and cook a delicious hearty breakfast offering full Irish breakfasts, Veggie breakfasts, Sweet breakfast (I think it was pancakes or french toast), cereals, fresh fruit, yoghurt, freshly made tea and coffee, fresh juices. Beautifully decorated house and rooms too. I didn't take a shower while there but my friend did and he said it was incredible with great pressure. The rooms were lovely and warm as well as being clean and spacious. Would 100% recommend this place to stay in and if I am in the area again I hope to stay here again!

I only realised when I was leaving that they had a dog on the property outside, I love dogs and wished I had have seen them earlier to give them pets! Honestly the stay was that good the only complaint I could possibly give was that I didn't get much time to pet their dog.

Simon Blake House is easy to find and April & David are really lovely people,very welcoming and helpful. The rooms are excellent and well fitted out, great to be able to make tea/coffee etc at any time in the kitchenette.Breakfast is exceptional! David is a great cook!

There isn’t anything to dislike.

An excellent central location for our road trip. The hotel is beautifully decorated and we were made to feel very much at home. The food was freshly made. We ate David’s delicious oat cakes at the top of Croagh Patrick today - he recommended this hike for a later part of our trip 😊
