Abbey was great and a credit to the hotel. The food in the restaurant was good except for a hiccup with our starter, which was rectified satisfactory. The room was so clean and modern and spacious enough for an overnight stay.. I would stay again. It's also in good proximity to the shops.

We arrived about 6ish there was no one on reception and the door was locked. At dinner, we were given the menus but weren't advised of the Specials. Once Abbey introduced herself, things got better. There wasn't much instruction when we arrived down to breakfast, and the room was overcrowded with a large group who obviously were together and quiet loud.

The room was nice although the window didn't look outside but looked out on the roof space of a lower area. Breakfast was very nice. I would say the full Irish Breakfast is a bit on the big side and maybe better to get mini breakfast. They also have other options like pancakes. They have two bar restaurants. "Soul" is a short order place and they serve burgers and that kind of food. Their "Classic Burger" is really nice. I also ate in the "Gallops" restaurant.

I would have preferred to have a window facing outside in my room. I ate dinner in the "Gallops" a couple of times. I would say the food is average. For example I had Turkey and Ham one night. It just lacked flavor.

The location was very central to the National Stud and Japanese Gardens, Newbridge Silverware and Kildare shopping outlets. The breakfast was excellent, plenty of food was served and good variety. Had a number of evening meals and the food was outstanding. Compliments to the chefs and kitchen staff. Presentation and flavour of dishes were brilliant. The waiting staff were very engaging and helpful. Would recommend this hotel to travellers. Will come back and stay at property in the future.

The only minus to my stay was parking facilities. The propetiter informed me, they are in the processes of sorting this out. Also a lift to the bedrooms would be an addition.

Breakfast service very disappointing, told to take a seat but no tables available so had to sit on a dirty table until it was cleared, then no one came back to take our order despite waiting for some time, eventually had to go ask to get our order taken but when we asked staff member behind the bar, they told us we had to ask the waitress ourselves, never asked if we wanted tea when taking order, had to ask and then it was quite a long wait for our food,didn't appear to be any supervision or leadership of the staff on duty, such a massive difference between dinner service and the breakfast service!

Staff were very welcoming and helpful. Lobby was nice and peaceful. Plenty of artwork on the walls and in the hallways. Room was spacious and comfortable. Loads of space. Hairdryer, iron/ironing board and coffee machine in the room. Selection of coffees and shortbread biscuits. 2 restaurants. Tasty pizza. Choice of burgers, chips, drinks, pizza, nachos. Kildare village shopping centre is close by. Dublin is less than hours drive. Would recommend staying. Short or long stay well worth it.

Limited parking but staff are helpful to point out an available car park just down the street.

The location is good, very close to the centre of Kildare town, just a few steps away; the staff were pleasant and helpful; the room was big and comfortable and the hotel common areas very relaxing and pleasantly decorated; there were abundant tea bags and coffee sachets in the room - very homely and welcoming; there was a very luxurious bathtub; the breakfast was included and was very good; check out until 11:30...

The TV reception was problematic - much time was spent moving the cable/wire trying to improve the reception - very frustrating; the lighting in the room was not optimal - the switches beside the beds didn't seem to work independently...

The staff were excellent- friendly, helpful and attentive. There are 2 restaurants attached to the property a bar/restaurant serving traditional fare and a more casual pizza/burger restaurant- soulfood. The food was excellent and reasonably priced. Breakfast was really good.

Not a massive problem but the parking was scarce- I arrived mid afternoon on Sunday and was lucky to get a space but I think this was down to the fact the restaurants were busy. The room was comfortable but on the small side but in fairness I was only there for one night and got a very reasonable rate. The hotel did have a sign in reception apologising for renovations and the other rooms on the website look great.

Over 50 years I have stayed at countless hotels throughout the UK, I rate them by standard of breakfast as usually that is the first meal of the day, without question yours was the best I have ever experienced. Sitting at a table of 4 the waitress never wrote down any of the orders all of which were different yet 10 minutes later she returns with all the orders perfect. Same waitress then on day of departure kindly came out to allow me reverse car safely on the road as my view was blinded by large vehicles both sides of me. Room also top quality.

Nothing I can think other than perhaps car parking was very limited.

The staff were excellent: very accommodating and friendly. They helped us on several occasions with something when they technically wouldn’t have had to. The room was comfortable and stylishly furnished. Breakfast was great and served quickly. The onsite restaurant Soul Burger is also worth going to, with tasty food and friendly staff. Overall, the hotel is definitely worth the visit and great value for money.

The only thing that bothered us was the fairly loud music that accompanied us throughout our stay. It was a bit much for sensitive people who would like a quiet breakfast. The music from the Soul Burger restaurant carried very well to our room starting in the afternoon, which was mildly annoying and made it impossible to go to sleep without earplugs before 11 p.m. However, the latter had to do with the location of our room and shouldn’t be a problem everywhere in the hotel.

The room was very clean and they promote use of reusable water container by having a water dispenser by the stairway. Impressed with security as only guests with fob keys can access the front doors. Sheets were clean and bed and pillows were comfortable. They don't have air conditioning but they provided an electric fan in the room. I don't have to request for an iron as it's in the dresser already with the iron board.

It's a small double room, so opening big luggages could be a challenge and could hear people from outside.
