I have travelled all around Ireland as a solo traveller and this has by far been my favourite place. I had a bright clean room,with a very comfortable bed and a bath and a door out to the patio which was a great bonus to be able to just step outside to smoke at night time and not have to go through the whole building. The staff were exceptionally friendly, with beautiful breakfast in a bright, clean room in the mornings. I originally booked for 1 night and ended up staying 4. Just a few minutes walk to the beach. It was a great break in the winter. Off peak is a whole different experience in strandhill. I would highly recommend this accommodation

Nothing I didn't love about this place

We loved everything: the spacious room, the convenient parking, the especially large and very comfortable double bed, the spacious balcony with the amazing view, the delicious breakfast, the delicious food in the restaurant very close to the hotel and especially the attentive, kind, patient and wholeheartedly helpful attitude of David, the hotel manager, and Sian, the receptionist. They did everything they knew and could to help us solve the problem we had with the rental car. They also directed us to great hiking trips in the area and the detailed explanations that David sent before we arrived at the hotel show that the concern for the guests' well-being and leisure time is at the center of his attention. David also sets a personal example for the entire team and works together with them in every area. We could see that the hotel is functioning perfectly and the entire staff is very caring and helpful in everything. You all do a really good job and we would definitely like to stay with you again.

This is a really nice hotel with very comfy beds and great sized rooms. We had everything we needed and there was always someone on reception to answer any questions. The breakfast is a good continental with cereal, pasties, eggs and fruit - it suited us perfectly. Both rooms had a door to small seating area overlooking the bay which would have been gorgeous if it hadn't been raining so hard! It's about a 10-15 minute walk down to the seafront where there are cafes, bars and some small shops. There's a decent pub next door where we had an excellent dinner (The Venue) and probably other bars close by which we didn't have the chance to explore. Our kids thoroughly enjoyed their surfing lesson and it was a lovely relaxing experience to visit the seaweed baths. The scenery is breathtaking and would be great to explore further.

Not much. I would liked to have been slightly closer to the seafront, but it wasn't a long walk down. Sadly, the hotel owners couldn't change the weather!

We have stayed with you many times before and especially love the location, warm welcome , big comfy bed. and the bath.

We were in rm 107..our second time in this room and both times it has been unbearably hot. We opened the windows, made sure the radiator etc is off and even tried leaving the sliding outside door open but couldn't bring the temperature down at all. Gadget on the wall for regulating temperature (?) didn't seem to be working either. Also.. the shower head is broken and needs repaired as the water files out at right angles.

We found the room spacious and well maintained with a comfortable bed and a nice view over the golf course and the sea. The continental breakfast was quiet substantial with a good choice available. However it was the reception staff who stood out for me with their friendly and helpful care for you from arrival to departure.

The one thing that I did not like was that while the room was cleaned each day and the towels replaced our bed was not made. But this seems to be the practice in a lot of hotels nowadays.

Fab hotel with amazing views of the ocean from the balcony. No food served in the hotel, but provided a list of recommendations of places to eat when booking. Popular restaurant next door. Hotel is on a hill overlooking the town that is just a short walk away but also has regular bus service going to/from Sligo Town that passes round the corner from the hotel entrance. Only stayed for 1 night during our trip along the WAW but wish we has stayed longer as would have been an ideal base for exploring. Loved the Voga Seaweed baths on the beach front.

Our reservations were never forwarded from Booking.com, but David, the GM, worked very hard to settle us into rooms at the lodge and in Sligo. His calm and diligent manner immensely eased your anxiety about the situation. The lodge is extremely clean, has comfortable beds, lovely sea views and is walkable to the lovely village of Strandhill. Sligo, with its many shops, museums and pedestrian friendly walk ways along the river, is a short 10 minute drive. The breakfast provided was excellent. Highly recommend this hotel.

I absolutely loved Strand hill Suites. I was having a busy work schedule and I asked could I have late checkout and they said no problem with no extra charge. It really changed the whole course of the day for me for the better and I was really grateful. The room was beautiful with gorgeous views, the continental breakfast was perfect for me with great coffee but best of all was the loveliness of the staff. I will definitely be back. Thank you

We were down to visit friends so it was a fab location to stay near them. Just a stones throw to the sea front of Strandhill. You have a lovely view of the sea from all rooms. Staff were so lovely, a special mention to Ciara on reception. The continental breakfast is just the right amount to start your day.

The heating in bedroom at night time was on full blast on radiators and we couldn't figure out how to turn it off so slept with the windows wide open

We loved this hotel, the room was large and very comfirtable with a sea view. Easy walk down to the beachfront to the amazing sand dunes Also easy walking distance to queen Maeve's trail, this is well worth doing, the hotel staff will advise you. The reception staff were very friendly abd knowledgeable. Very good range of chouces on the continental breakfast too and pubs/places to eat nearby. We would highly reco.me d

A little pricey for a sea view but it's worth it so treat yourself, you wont be disappointed
