Unfortunately breakfast was not included in the cost -a pity.

Just a small complaint- asked receptionist to give a to waken us @ 7am ( just in case!) & it didn’t happen.

The location is good if you have a car or need limited access by public transportation, however the area isn't very walkable. The rooms were good and the finishes were very nice. We requested a firm bed and they were able to accommodate us. The staff at the front desk were always very nice and the housekeeping staff did a fine job of taking care of the room. This review is based on a stay in August 2024. We would consider staying again, but would need to verify that there is no construction and that the shower situation has improved.

The only negative about the room was that there was a rain-style shower. Unfortunately, these are only good if there is adequate water pressure. There was very low pressure, therefore it would have been better to have a regular showerhead. The biggest downside for us was the construction that was occurring during our stay. We were not informed beforehand, so we were not able to make an informed decision about the stay. The construction generally started around 8 am, but one morning it was just after 7 am. The construction including hammer drilling on the roof above/near our room. Hopefully this is a temporary situation as the hotel overall is very nice.

Very nice restaurant and bar. Food was a good standard. Rooms were very clean and the bathroom was nice. For travel, there's a choice of 3 bus routes that stop outside the hotel and go to the centre of Dublin. Didn't take long and only cost €2.60 each way. Saved us a lot in taxis.

I made two separate bookings for our two night stay. It took three requests to get them linked. The cleaner let herself into the room without knocking after what she presumed was our check out time following the first night. Luckily we were just about to head into Dublin. It also took a couple of requests to get the specific table I wanted in the empty restaurant on the Sunday night. I was told it would be a struggle as they had a lot of bookings . They had virtually no bookings. It's a good, friendly hotel. Maybe a small bit more attention to detail would be good.

Conveniently located a short distance from UCD. Staff was consistently polite and helpful. Although the hotel handles a lot of bus-tour groups, there was always seating at breakfast for those of us that were not part of such groups. My parents, who were mobility challenged, also stayed at the hotel and were very pleased with the availability of handicap modifications (bathrooms) and the location of the elevators. For us, it was the perfect place to visit with family and we will certainly be back.

Some bathroom elements could have used updating.

I liked the atmosphere. The room was spacious, and quite. The location is good since I visited UCD. The access form the airport is simple by the Air-coach that stops just next to the hotel. Nearby the Stillorgan village can provide whatever you need

Two comments: cleaners did not come to clean the room. One of the guys in the reception was not at al helpful. Whenever I asked something he was very agressive and not keen to help. This is not the case with the other guys in the reception. Smokking is not allowd but you could smell the smoke

Car park was ideal, plenty of space and perfect for getting out onto the main road. Hotel very clean, polite staff and always smiling. I wish I had taken more time to look around the hotel as I only found the courtyard area night before leaving (although the weather wasn’t great). Ate in the hotel and quality was excellent, and they are willing to change things for you. Easy walking distance to Stillorgan Village (although easy to park), where I picked up a card for transport in the post office. Great coffee and scone in the Natural Bakery, and lovely shopping area you can relax. I did drive to Blackrock, parking was harder and there is a train, I guess you could walk it as only 2km. Buses into the city just across the road from the hotel. Actually hope to revisit. Oh and hotel does have live music in the restaurant at weekends, so if you want a quiet dinner to talk then you’ll find it hard, I actually gave up reading my book as I was singing to the guy.

Room 128, I couldn’t open the window - yes I can understand why as flat roof (and I guess people have walked on it), but I like fresh air although I got the air conditioning unit working perfectly. TV channels weren’t great I ended up using my computer to watch channels. Fan wasn’t working in the bathroom but told receptionist on leaving as I didn’t want anyone in my room (she was quick to apologise and logged it in for repair). Seeing all the rubbish people left behind (I checked in early so rooms still being done) I don’t think I would like to stay at the weekend as looks like plenty of partying was done, so Sunday and during the week would suit me better.

Most of the staff were very friendly, very helpful, and was at an event in the hotel, so the location was great. The person checking me in was great, very friendly and accommodating of my needs.

On check-in in i had to confirm the number of guests far too many times. Booking was made for 3 people. I turned up with 4 people. One of the people in my group was not staying with us but it felt like i was grilled by the white woman who was not even checking me in (Aisling/Ashley was and she was lovely) the white woman interjected and asked yet again "how many people" i had said 3 people more than 7 times at this point. I would stay again, i understand you need to be vigilant about these things , but a little bit of trust would have gone a long way

staff at the hotel were amazing. they went out of their way to help and resolve some issue with the booking, mainly caused by the fact hotel is bit wear off. but they really made it up for it. Good job.

this is clearly an old hotel and would do well with a bit of restoration. i couldnt sleep in my room cause of some extrrnal fan, was really loud. had to change my room at 3am because of its noise. luckily staff found me another room and moved me with no issues.

The whole experience was first class. Bedroom was of excellent quality, the cleanliness, attention to detail from housekeeping staff and the friendliness of them all was 1st class. Breakfast was hands down, thee best breakfast I have had at a hotel anywhere. A huge compliment must be made to your chefs, the sausage and bacon was some of the best I’ve ever tasted - my wife was in love with the pancake machine!

The only downside that I can think of, (I have spent a bit of time trying to think of a negative, only to help you improve the hotel - it hasn’t been easy!) we wanted to try the food in Brass, however, were booked out - it may have been our own fault not being quick enough but it in no way takes away from the totally excellent experience. My major downside to being at your hotel - needing to leave!!
