Room was lovely, especially the bathroom and huge walk in shower. Staff, food and service in the pub was lovely too! Both evening meal and breakfast had great options and were very tasty!

Bit disappointed the beer garden closed so early on what was a beautiful day. Even more disappointed that we were not told at any stage that the bar turned into a nightclub! We were told there was a nightclub onsite and had no problem with that, and had seen the room that could be taken to be the nightclub, however it wasn't explained at any stage that a bar itself is actually turned into a nightclub and there would be no ordinary bar available to residents! would be best to be aware of this so could arrange to go elsewhere!

We received a large room with a very comfortable bed. The room was clean with lots of natural light, cubpoard space and a desk. Staff at reception and at the restaurant gave us a very warm welcome and were helpful throughout our stay. We loved sleeping with the cold air thanks to partially opening windows. Conveniently located in the heart of Thurles.

The second room was on the second floor unfortunately as the hotel was fully booked. Convenient safe parking behind the hotel. Best to travel light as hotel does not have an elevator but the building does have lots of charm.

I arrived at around 9.30pm , I rang the bell and was greeted by a lovely member of staff. I headed to room 211,it was a beautiful spotless room ,not very big but was fine for me. As for the breakfast,well it was the finest I've ever eaten. I don't get to that part of the country very often but if I ever do, I'll be going back to room 211 if they have it available.

Possibly the shower could have a bigger more powerful shower head. I spent the last hour trying to figure out what fault I could find 😁

The bedroom was really nice , decor beautiful, hot breakfast was very good. Also ate in the bar at night and food was gorgeous. Free car park is great, we had gone out to visit people on 2nd night stay, got back after midnight and staff were so quick to open carpark gate once I phoned.

Bit difficult that there was no lift and shower was in the bath. Buffet for cereals, juice etc would be a good idea, but could keep hot food to order. A lot of noise from pub/disco /liberty Square as Sat night but to be fair, website/ confirmation email does mention this. Ear plugs provided were a good idea but didn't have to use them and got to sleep. For anyone getting back late to carpark,there should be signage with the reception phone number to ring.

It was very homely and comfortable. I was only staying for a night, but I felt the room and facilities were exceptional. staff were incredibly welcoming and pleasant. parking was handy too.

There was nothing that I really felt needed to be improved upon. It’s a simple, country hotel done right! I would stay there again. I’ve stayed in plenty of four star locations around Ireland where I’ve been met with nothing but disappointment. I’d take the simplicity and comfort of The Hayes any day over those hotels.

Katie the check in girl was exceptional extremely helpful and answered all our queries . The bedroom decor was very tasteful and a very comfy bed . The evening meal we had was excellent and exceptionally big portions

The shower was a bit dated and hard to turn on , the bathroom could do with a bit of updating . The breakfast was a bit of a let down the scrambled eggs were made in the microwave and the poached eggs were hard .

the staff in the hotel reception are excellent and went out of their way to welcome me. The restaurent staff are so helpful and don,t just take your order and deliver the food but treat you as a friend they know all their lives and this make a holiday so much better. I am used to getting the bare minium from restaurant staff. I loved the bedroom both its size and the furniture. The shower was so powerful and the shower cubicle had plenty of space instead of the usual cramped ones.

The only thing i did not like was that I did not book a longer holiday.

Amazing historic hotel on the main square. The staff was very helpful and our room was clean and spacious. The location is fantastic with all the restaurants and pubs just steps away from the front door and free parking in the rear of the hotel. Great hotel!

The only issue was the loud music and noise coming from a party in the nightclub behind the hotel. Luckily, the nightclub closed t 11pm and everything was quiet for the rest of the evening.

The staff were lovely. The room had nice decor - fab shower.

The price at 280 for a Monday and Tuesday night (280 for both nights) is a bit steep I think for a small town during the week. There was no coffee machine in the room. Breakfast doesn't start until 8.30, though to be fair on second morning there, when they realised I was leaving before 8, they accommodated this and had breakfast ready for 7.30, so that was very good.

Location is great. It's just a short stroll to the shopping centre and is only a few minutes from the train station and Semple Stadium. Staff were friendly qnd welcoming and helped make it an enjoyable trip. Cusacks Basr is well worth a visit, with great service and excellent food. Also the breakfast was fab too.. My room window overlooked the street which gave me a great view of the St. Patrick's Day parade without having to leave the comfort of my room. The room had an old world feel in Modern decor and just added to the overall experience. I didn't have high expectations coming in but left with nothing but positive memories and can't wait to return in the future

The noise from the parities/discos downstairs was a little loud but you get used to it. Everything else was perfect
