Breakfast on the first morning was a disaster we waited 40 minutes for our hot breakfast when we did eventually get it the plate was floating with grease. The second morning we were served within 10 minutes and it was lovely. Lovely comfortable room. Staff were very pleasant. I asked a member of staff if we needed to book a table for dinner she told me we could walk in anytime. At 6.30 I asked for a table to be told none available until 8.30, we went elsewhere and got a beautiful meal. We had dinner at the hotel the second evening and it was lovely.

The price of the drink was horrendous and they had no draft coors light on Sunday night.

Breakfast was very good, the rooms were excellent and dinner was very good also. This 4 star hotel was in an easy walk to the town center and was walkable from the train station. Staff were friendly and help full.

Not to be negative but the weekend rates were steep. We booked for 1 night and the rate was good but needed to change our plans to spend a extra night. We weren't able to book a extra night thru booking.com? Reason was they we were only able to book 2 nights and not add a night? So we cancelled the 1 night and re booked for 2 and the price doubled on us. Ouch!!! Not very nice! especially with our currency exchange rate...

The decor was chosen to perfection.It was both luxurious and comfortable.The way the room was decorated gave a sense of space and comfort,warm browns and creams .The bathroom was spacious with lovely Voya toiletries which were both luxurious and invigorating.We awaken to a very hearty breakfast with a lovely selection of options on the menu…..This hotel is a gem.Location,ambience,food,decor and staff were faultless

The only fault we had was our dinner in the hotel that evening ,my main course arrived to table a bit “Luke warm”this was rectified immediately .

The breakfast was well prepared and catered for different needs. We thought that the positioning of the different types of buffet needed to be thought through a little more as it didn't seem logical to separate the more continental style into two parts. The room was fine

Approaching the hotel from the rear of the property was a bit of a shock looking at the buildings and road way, both of which looked a little run down and even the signage of the hotel could be included here. The town of Tralee itself was a little sad looking and down on its luck a bit with very little there to look at apart from the museum

Excellent is not an adequate word to describe The Ashe Hotel Absolutely beautiful hotel, our suite was incredible. Seriously comfortable bed and seating area. Breakfast was fantastic, freshly prepared and served in a stunning dining room. Every member of staff we came across couldn't do enough to help - real genuine customer service. Special thanks to Vicky on reception who gave us advice about which way to drive the ring of Dingle (Connor Pass to Dingle) and recommended Murphy's brown bread ice cream (absolutely delicious) We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and were sad to check out. Will definitely be back for a longer stay next time.

Wish we had booked for longer

This is a stunning boutique hotel with outstanding furnishings, beautiful rooms, great ambience, and truly lovely staff. And a fabulous price. I want to come back, and have already recommended the Hotel Ashe to my Irish friends. Will make sure my Australian friends know about Hotel Ashe as well.

There is nothing to dislike about this property. Where else do you get your breakfast cooked to order? Nothing is too much trouble, an experience you all need to have while travelling in Tralee in County Cork.

The staff were super friendly, the best vegan fry up I've ever had for breakfast (and I've had a few!), beautiful Christmas decor and liked the field day toiletries!! Very clean and comfortable. Would happily return.

The restaurant for dinner wasn't exceptional. A lot of synthetic dressings and syrups (can I ask why synthetic fruit syrup and a flower is needed on banoffee?) ended up feeling a bit like an attempt at 90s fine dining when it didn't need it. Wouldn't rush back..

While a central hotel with limited parking, we got a space outside the door. We have a very swift check-in with pleasant staff. The room was a spacious triple, 117, to the front of the building. The Hotel was spotless throughout. We had a drink in the bar and ate in the restaurant, a few of our first choice items were not available, probably due to it being the Monday of a Bank Holiday weekend. The food we had that evening was excellent as were the choice of wines, hard to beat starters & main courses for 3, with 1 dessert and a bottle of wine for €122. Breakfast was equally good, the breakfast area was nice and quiet and the hot food freshly cooked. If we are in Tralee again, this will be our first choice.

I loved the decor in the hotel restaurant and bar area. My room was seemed to be newly renovated and was very stylish and really comfortable. Good mattress, bedding and pillows. Service in the restaurant was top notch and timely, lovely menu and really enjoyed the quality food, both breakfast and evening meal.

Really nothing to dislike, apart from the coffee in the morning at breakfast (personal preference for strong coffee).

My husband and I went down to The Ashe Hotel for a weekend getaway over the bank holiday and we had nothing but the most positive experience staying here. We stayed in a fabulous and very spacious room, with personalised welcoming messages on the TV and amazing service when checking in. Joyce in particular was excellent, as well as the rest of the team. The food and everything else to do with our stay was exceptional also. Thank you for a lovely stay, we will be back.
