From the warm friendly welcome, to the large spotless, spacious cosy rooms, you will experience an outstanding quality experience. Ample free parking, grand, stylish decor, immaculately groomed gardens, fresh cut flowers, the list goes on. The hosts will do anything they can to make you feel welcome, serve you a great breakfast, give you travel tips and look after you. Highly recommend this for travellers with discerning taste!

No restaurant outside high season, making it a 30 min return trip to town and someone has to forgo the drinks. No kettle provided n room, but you can ask for one and it will be supplied?

Definitely a country club feel to the hotel. Good evening meal and breakfast. Very spacious and comfortable room. And the views are magnificent - though see below. Owners and staff are pleasant and efficient - with a definite sense of humour.

I should have preferred to eat without music - even if it is played at low volume. But I didn't ask for it to be turned off, so I don't know how any request might have been received. And the choice of music was just odd enough to be intriguing. It is also a shame that they have not managed to sort out their differences with the neighbouring farmer, whose land blocks access to the lake. Without knowing every detail, however, I can see no justification for blaming the hotel.

An outstanding B & B! We loved Loch Lein Country Home! The room was large, very clean and well appointed. The house was beautifully decorated and we had use of the living room, bar and library. The location was great as it sits on the end of Loch Lein and you are only 10 minutes from Killarney. Their biggest asset, however, are the owners, Annette and Paul, as well as their friendly and very accommodating staff! Annette and Paul go out of their way to make sure you are happy and will do anything to be helpful. The breakfast they provided was also outstanding. They have several continental food items, but also a good selection of hot items that can be ordered from the kitchen. We would also recommend the Killarney Brewery & Distillery down the street for excellent beer/spirits, food and service. We ate there 2 out of 3 nights. The B & B is also open for dinner (6:00-8:00 pm), but we did not try it. We are sure it is excellent too since their breakfast is so good. We highly recommend the Lock Lein Country Home!!!

We loved everything!

Loch Lein Hotel is now in my top three of all time hotels. It was exceptional in every way. The Location - 3km outside Killarney, and the stunning views of the lake are perfect. The rooms are spacious and spotless with the bed being the most comfortable I ever slept in and both my sisters remarked on the same. The breakfast was so good! so tasty and a feast to the eyes as the cereals and fruits were laid on in Nicolas Mosse bowls, jugs and platters. The 'full Irish' was delightful - all locally sourced products. However - the shining lights in this hotel has to be the owners - Annette and her husband. Nothing was a problem and they were so friendly, so kind and so informative. They are the real treasures! Would we go back? In a heartbeat! Already planning it.

Every single aspect was perfect.

Words cannot really do justice to the calibre of the stay we experienced at Loch Lein Country House. Everything was perfect. Nothing was too much trouble for Annette and Paul. Annette was available throughout our stay and provided a pot of tea in our room on 2 occasions (note the room does not have tea/coffee making facilities). The location of the property is breath taking with gardens overlooking the Loch. The room was very well equipped and extremely comfortable. The lounge area provided a lovely area to enjoy a post dinner night cap. Before we left Paul was able to give us some excellent advice regarding our onward journey. We are planning to return for a longer stay. Our stay here was the highlight of our tour around Ireland.

We loved everything!!

The Country House is in a quiet location. It is run by the two owners with help from their son and daughter. It is very clean if slightly old fashioned but our friends thought it was really nice. The breakfast was fine.

. The hotel is misleading in that it claims to be "lake side" but you can't walk to or get to the lake from the hotel. We wanted to walk to the lake but were told that there is currently a dispute with the local farmer about access. It is therefore a lakeview only. The restaurant was a little pricey but everything is made in house. (Because we didn't have wine with our meals if felt like this was a problem)

We stayed for 3 nights at the Loch Lein Country House. Superb location, close to Killarney, yet a few km away to enjoy the quiet environment. Beautiful views. Very large rooms, supercomfortable. I guess we enjoyed the best beds we had during our trip in Ireland. Breakfast is lovely. Dinner is really top, very fine cuisine and some top wines as well. The house itself is very stylish, classic, with attention to details: fresh flowers, some candles burning. Family run, with veruy devoted owners. Love the place!

This family-run small hotel is amazing. The owners and staff strive for perfection and it shows: Rooms are spacious, spotless clean, well furnished and with a large window facing a beautiful field and lake. It was like waking up into an impressionist painting. Breakfast was wonderful, with a good number of choices. Owners are extremely helpful: We checked-in late after a long drive, when both the hotel restaurant and all restaurants in the area were closed. They sent us a platter of salmon sandwiches, and didn't even charge us for it. Dinner in restaurant is highly recommended.

Nothing. The location is out of town, so you probably need a car to reach it.

Lough Lein was absoloutely outstanding. Paul and Annette were the perfect hosts. The hotel itself is so welcoming and spotlessly clean. The room we had was large and had the most beautiful views of the lake. The room was spotless. The breakfast had so much choice and the cooked breakfast was gorgeous. If I could give it 10 stars I would! We will definitely be staying there again. Wonderful hotel.

There was absoloutely nothing we didn't like. It was faultless.

That's the best hotel I've stayed in in Ireland. The staff is more than fantastic. Make us feel at home, so welcoming with a fabulous view. Our daughter was in a different place with her group and they had problems, making them decide to come back home. The loch lein country house found another room to accommodate my daughter with us. She had a comfortable night. We don't know thank them enough. The breakfast was unreal.
