Location - excellent. Great room. Great bathroom and towels. Breakfast only "standard", but adequate. Scrambled eggs cooked to order. Evening meals good - seasonable vegetables sautéed in rapeseed oil were exceptional 10% discount as part of Best Western club

No proper soap in bathroom, only hand wash / body wash in plastic bottles. Not very eco-friendly A tear on one of the net curtains. Duvet cover VERY wrinkled - so much so as to be uncomfortable to sleep under. The replacement duvet cover had a hole in it. Evening meal desserts quite small for the price. Restaurant / dining room very noisy. Loud clientele. Having to pay £5 per night to park the car.

Lovely location and although within easy walking distance of all of the shops, train station etc. it was nice and quiet. Perfect base for visiting the Bath Christmas market and other attractions - very quick and easy to get to Bath by train and not have to worry about parking. Great breakfast served, comfortable bed and leisure factilities, although small, were clean and nice to use.

We were staying in the separate block where the pool and gym are...luckily it wasn't raining, but a covered walkway to get to reception and the dining room would be useful for when it's cold and wet...or umbrellas by the door?

swimming lessons in pool although instructor was great and quite nice to see children learning to swim. quite noisy though (think lessons were post school day). mini fridge would have been good. I like to have fresh milk only 4 pots of uht! minimal supply of tea/coffee as usual for chain hotel pet hate is dry bacon! obviously cooked to far in advance. breakfast commences at 7am. I attended at 7.10 bacon dried out. bit picky I know but expected to be moist as down early restaurant area is a bit tired rooms could do with a spruce up and a bit of detailed cleaning apologies for last comment but, have (many years past) been engaged as a hotel housekeeper

Excellent evening meal in the restaurant (roast meal as it was a Sunday). The hotel had good outdoor seating areas in the courtyard and an indoor swimming pool although we were not there long enough to enjoy these facilities. Generally a good standard of decor.

Room was a mobility double room as that was all that was available. The shower in the wet room did not go down to floor level- there was a gap of 18 inches. This meant that a large area of the bathroom floor got wet when having a shower. The basin was the smallest of hand wash basins suitable for a disabled wc/cloakroom. It was not large enough for face washing and it was difficult to fit the jug kettle under the tap. The adjustable stay to the bedroom window was broken.

Lovely, spacious room with a view on to the quaint high street. Large and very clean bathroom with a great shower. Clean, fluffy towels and toiletries provided. Gardens were beautiful and enjoyed a gin and tonic there on arrival. A very polite, friendly barman greeted us (sorry, I don't recall his name - tall, blonde, young man). Really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again if around that location. Thank you.

Can't really think of anything I didn't like. Damaged blind in the bathroom is all I could say was a tiny negative. Otherwise, the room and hotel in general lived up to if not exceeded my expectations.

There is plenty of parking available, although it can get a little busy at times. Our room size was massive if a bit dated in places. We were in the old original part of the hotel though which had larger rooms. There is a separate more modern section with a leisure centre and swimming pool.

If driving and using the sat nav, just watch out if arriving during the day. The postcode of the hotel is in the centre of town which is a pedestrian zone during the day. Best follow the signs for the Angel Hotel as you approach the outside of town and ignore the sat nav. The car park is around that way anyway.

Stayed here for two nights 3-5 March. Room .Very nice comfortable large room on the top floor. Great bed. Everything very clean. Lots of hot water for bath/shower. Lovely clean fluffy towels. Great value for the price I’d say. Didn’t have breakfast. So many places to have it in town. Used the bar for one drink all very nice in the comfortable lounge. This is without a doubt a great place to stay I really recommend it. Best Western hotels can be hit and miss I have found but this one is

The room was a great size, and very clean. The bathroom was again very clean and the shower was amazing. I switched to this hotel as I didn't like the breakfast at my previous place and I'm glad I did, it was excellent.

The guest information said that food was available via room service until 8:00pm, I tried to order and got no response and subsequently found out that they stop serving food at 2:30.

The rooms are a decent size with all the facilities you would expect. The bed was a good size and reasonably comfortable. The breakfast was excellent, good selection and plenty of it. The staff were really helpful and very pleasant.

We stayed on the second floor of the new building at the rear. You have to cross an open courtyard to get to the main building where the reception and dining room is, not pleasant when it's lashing with rain. There was no bottled water in the room which was a disappointment.
