Dinner was lovely and hit the spot after a long journey ahead of a family funeral the next day. Breakfast was superb - the best full English I have had for a long time - not enormous but beautifully presented and every element was tasty and well seasoned. The hotel is full of history and atmosphere and querky. If you're over 5'8" then you'll leave with a stoop having avoided all the low beams. People were a lot shorter 500 years ago!

Not a lot - the restaurant in the evening was incredibly hot but cooled off towards the end of the evening which was more comfortable. We'd like to return in happier circumstances and see more of the lovely village and sit in the garden. A great part of the world and a lovely stop over if you're visiting England or the area.

Lovely old inn right in the heart of the village. There is an extensive garden at the back for drinks and meals going right down to a stream at the bottom of the garden. The rooms were very quaint and well equipped, including an espresso machine and pods. Dinner in the evening was very good. Breakfast was fine.

There is no indoor bar to sit and have drinks, so in bad weather you would need to go into the restaurant. Luckily we had good weather so could sit outside. Lots of opportunities to bang your head if you are over 1.5 metres tall Breakfast has to be chosen from a menu the evening before, so you need to know what you will want in advance.

The place is amazing. The people working there are really lovely and helpful. We have 🐕 dog with us. I really appreciate how respectful those people are towards animals. We felt really welcomed there. We went to Lacock following Harry Potter's steps. I promise you. Once you are there, you will never forget that magical village. The food is amazing and right next to the hotel there is a bakery with fresh bread and cakes 😋 perfect place to run away from big cities.

We absolutely loved our one night stay in this historic inn - a bonus was the beautiful weather and lovely garden. Lacock is a beautiful village oozing with history and as a bonus if you are a Harry Potter fan there is plenty to see as well. We had a lovely evening having drinks in the garden, accompanied by a yummy dinner. To have an opportunity to stay in a historic building such as this one, that still had exposed beams and the layout of older times was truly something special.

Whilst everything in the room was relatively new and updated it was a shame that both the bathroom and toilet had carpet on the floor - this made it a bit difficult when showering not to get water anywhere and the thought of previous users leaving the floor wet was not super ideal! Some floor boards or lino in the bathrooms/toilet and the accommodation would be perfect.

A wonderful period building with many quirks and features. A lovely beer garden with a tranquil stream at the end. And friendly and attentive staff who made us feel right at home.

The only criticism I have is that the vegetarian option on the menu was not good at all. It was also the only vegetarian option for a main. It’s a shame as the meat dish I had was so good, but the vegetarian burger my partner had was so bland. Please do more good food for veggies, as you do for meat eaters.

A beautiful 15th century Inn , that didn't disappoint! Quirky, full of character and a lovely relaxed atmosphere of a bygone age . If you want a historic feel with wonky floors and doors etc , like we did , this is the place to stay . Modern facilities but retaining the original features. The room was excellent with a great shower and large bath . Loved the small touch of home made flapjack in the room on arrival too. The location was great . Parking no problem . All the staff were friendly and attentive. Food was exceptional but if you're looking for pub grub this isn't for you . A lovely quaint country garden to the rear of the inn , added bonus .

Leaving !!! 😭

The dinner we had was superb - good ingredients, excellently cooked, great flavour. The location was perfect and the hotel, which is old and quirky is a lovely building

Compared with the quality of the evening meal the cooked breakfast was average. Certain parts were overcooked and the ingredients used appeared to be local supermarket Also the wind chimes in an adjacent house were not conducive to a good night's sleep

Beautiful, full of character and comfy

It says free parking which would suggest it comes with parking, but the parking is street parking which was misleading and in the height of summer could be difficult! The weather was exceptionally cold and therefore the room was chilly even with heating on full blast all the time. An extra heater would have been good.

Lovely historic quirky hotel, with creaky floor boards full of character. The hotel had a fantastic location in a beautiful cotswold village, the pub garden was really cute bordering a stream. Our room was quirky with low beams, it was very clean and a very good size. We loved it. Staff were welcoming and friendly.

Mind your head on the low bedroom beam ! (Room 4)

The bedroom was wonderful, such a comfortable bed and lovely toiletries. Very quiet location and we slept so well.

We were under the impression that breakfast was included when we booked with Booking.com but this is only included in the price if you book directly with the hotel. Also the stair and hall carpet is really very dirty and needs replacing. Lovely place otherwise.
