We had a fantastic stay at the Downtown Holiday Inn Hotel! The location is perfect, with easy access to shops and just a short walk to Old Sacramento, which made exploring the area incredibly convenient. The highlight of our stay was the excellent service we received in the hotel's restaurant. Erica, our server, was outstanding—attentive, friendly, and always ready with great recommendations. She truly made our dining experience special. The hotel is clean and comfortable, and the staff is welcoming. We highly recommend staying here if you're visiting Sacramento!

Staff on check in was not super nice. Very cold, no eye contact, no conversation.. but not rude either, so I guess ok. However, they could and should be much better. We liked the hotel. It is older hotel but clean. Location is great. Pool is ok, area around the pool could be nicer. Parking should be cheaper if not free. It is ridiculous that the garage next to the hotel is cheaper than hotel parking. Breakfast was ok, just don't understand server's job there; food you take from buffet, which is fine, but drinks you can't, server has to bring you coffee/tea and then they bring a bill with tip suggestions, even though breakfast was pre-paid when booking the hotel. Just find that unnecessary.

We were in town for a concert at the Golden 1 Arena and this hotel is perfect! Five minute walk to the entry doors. 5 minute walk the other direction and you’re in Old Sacramento. Breakfast is not included but there is a buffet at the hotel that I can’t comment on because we didn’t eat there. The restaurant was closed for dinner but you could get dinner at The Pub bar and it was excellent! $30 for a ribeye steak a dit was really good. Great drinks there also. They do charge for parking; no surprise there since that is standard for any city hotel these days.

I don’t have a lot of negatives. The walls are a little thin. The pillows too soft for my taste.

location location location. Had an event at Golden 1 Center and this hotel's locale could not be better. Bars and options all around with no need for a car - offered two options for parking which i felt were resonable. If you can walk you will find plenty if you're into food and drink.

I was not disappointed by this place at all, maybe the view from the room could have been better but this place checked all the boxes. I tried to stay an additional night and the rate provided was a bit excessive for a Tuesday night but front desk was very accessible and helpful with all requests I had.

Breakfast was standard buffet. It was alright. The staff there and the staff at the front desk for the most part were excellent. I got there early and I was offered a different room if I wanted to check in early. All of the information I was given regarding my stay, food, parking, etc. was explained clearly and professionally.

You can't help location, I was asked by a stranger right outside of the hotel, if I had any form of marijuana or cigarettes. That was obviously no fault of the hotel. When I went back to the lobby, a different staff member than the one who helped me originally seemed bothered that I was asking her questions.

The location is very convenient: It is 20 mins from the Sacramento airport by a public bus. It is also around 20 mins on foot from the SAFE Credit Union Convention Center The buffet breakfast is amazing the staff is really welcoming.

The streets near the hotel did not feel completely safe at nights. But this is more of a city problem than a problem with the hotel. If you are sensitive about this you might want to look into places closer to wherever you want to visit. Otherwise, great accommodation.

That was my 2nd stay at this location and will stay there again. Like the location and convenience to Old Town. Room was comfortable, breakfast was good and staff was helpful. Also liked the bar in the hotel, especially Christmas eve.

The entry way across from the bar dining area was closed for some reason, it leads out to the walkway between the hotel and the parking garage. Not a huge deal.

Check in was fast and efficient. Very comfy bed and pillows. Great water pressure in shower. Free bottled water at front desk. Incredible location, literally just steps from the heart of town. The arena, tons of restaurants and bars, ice skating, Macy's, movie theater, all within a 2 minute walk. Pool open 24 hours. Had a slight problem with TV remote and maintenance fixed it immediately. We will stay here again. It

Air conditioner was noisy and it was difficult to control the thermostat. No hot tub. No free parking. Video checkout was not working. Entrance closest to downtown was out of order.

Unfortunately, I was running behind and didn't make it for the breakfast. But I loved the location! it was in walking distance to several eateries and stores. They even have a movie theatre close by, so I enjoyed myself, was able to relax, take in a movie and walk back to the hotel and have a good evening.

I thought everything was great, with the exception of the room location. I am a light sleeper and the traffic noise kept waking me up. Otherwise, I enjoyed my stay very much.

The location of the property was excellent. The staff accommodated our needs and it was very clean. They were friendly and welcoming.

The price was very high for the weekend. Because there was an event, the hotel was quite busy but the bar and restaurant were closed most of the time we were there. Finally, the cost of parking was a bit high for hotel guests, considering the high cost of the room.
