Cute lobby/bar area. My room was clean and a good size for 1 person. It’s in the middle of the south beach area so easy walk to the beaches and other venues.

The carpeting in the lobby and hallways is quite old and doesn’t appear clean (due to stains , I saw them clean it every day). I think the overall feeling of cleanliness and vibe of the hotel would much improve if that was made to hardwood or carpeting was replaced. I also did not like that I could not contact the front desk by phone , as they didn’t pick up when I tried to call.

Amazing customer service, the airline lost my luggage and I needed to shop for clothes before leaving on my cruise. The manager gave me two extra hours to check out with no extra charge, Thank you! I went from meltdown to it will be okay

Rooms are small, but that's expected of Miami hotels. Couldn't figure out the hot water in the shower

The location is great and the staff were friendly. Everything looked clean except the carpet could use a shampooing.

Their were no wash rags and housekeeping came once in the 3rd day around 4pm. We bought cloths from the store. And the only mirror to see your full body is in the stairway. No elevator.

Very nice comfy room, on the smaller side but perfect for a solo traveler. Location was great, short walk to the beach, bunch of cafes nearby, bus stop like a 3min walk to get everywhere else in town

Not the cleanest possible, weird smudges on the mirror, some dirt on the floor. TV channels were weirdly glitching out, it’s like all of them went through a horror red filter lol.

The design of the room was outstanding ! Appreciated the effort of everything so much the snacks the bed design everything just surprised me!

A little hassling with the booking not knowing where to go for the front desk. Some signs would be helpful in the future directing me.

This was my second stay at the Shelley. The hotel is simple, but it has a great and safe location. The beach is very close, the stores and restaurants are nearby as well. It has everything that I needed!

the carpets are dirty, I don’t like all the additional fees. I I feel like this should be noted before booking as well as better parking info. this is my first time visiting Miami and lack of information made things so stressful.

The carpets are nasty and it seems like urine. The rooms are supposed to be non smoking but my room smells like nothing but smoke.

The hotel allowed us to enter earlier before the time of check in, since our plane arrived early in the morning and we planned just to ask to leave the luggage, but they let directly check in in the room. It really saved our day. It never happened to us in any hotel before and after in any country. The hotel in art deco style of beginning of 20th century is an architectural treasure. The bathroom is in an amazing marble, preserved from the time of construction, seems like museum. The position is in the super center of Ocean drive. The beach is in two steps.

The stay at the hotel was great. I arrived from a Carnival Cruise at 8a on Tuesday. I understood that check in wasn't until 3p so I was willing to wait being that I had nowhere else to go and wait. Frank the gentleman at check assured me that as soon as my room was ready he would check me and he kept his word. I waited till about 1:30p at the hotel and was then informed that I could check in and he even carried my bags up to the 3rd floor being that the hotel doesn't have an elevator. When I got to the room I was pleasantly surprised. The décor was great and the room was super clean and smelled amazing. For the price I paid I wasn't expecting such upscale accommodations. The whole suite was comfortable from the bed, the sitting area all the way to bathroom with the black and white marble. They even had a happy hour from 6-7p with free drinks and it's walking distance to South Beach and the many stores and shops that are around. The only con that I have is having to wait so long which is typically for check in (3p normal time). Maybe this can be adjust being that the city is close to a cruise line hub and the boats come in at 7a in the morning. It may even bring in more business for the hotel.
