This relatively new hotel was a gem. It was our first time in the dolomites, travelling by car, we stayed here for 5 nights. The location was perfect, if you're looking to explore both the west and east of the Dolomites and enjoy driving in these spectacular views. We started each morning with an absolutely wonderful breakfast in the hotel (one of the best we had on our 2-week trip to Italy) with a stunning view and finished with relaxing at the spa and pool and eating either at the excellent (and not cheap) porcino restaurant, or at any close-by restaurant. The host even noticed that on one of the days we stayed there it was my birthday so he congratulated me and even surprised us with a special desert at the end of our dinner at the hotel, which was really not taken for granted. As for the room, it was perfect. The view from the balcony / window was stunning. The bed was super comfortable and the shower was big. If we'll return to this part of the dolomites in the future, we'll be sure to return!

Nothing.

Staff from the reception was very responsive in written communication. I was assured that it will be possible to get something to eat even thought my check in was at 10pm. Also, the owner was very helpful with information on the area, hiking options and similar. They also provide car pick up from certain points where you can finish your hike, which is a nice touch even if you do not use it. The place is beautiful, my room was very comfortable and a lot of attention has been paid to details. It is evident that a lot of effort and long hours of the owners are put into making Badia Hill a memorable place, and this has to be appreciated.

Considering the high cost, I believe there is no need to charge extra for certain breakfast items like avocado toast or eggs royale. If it's truly not possible to include them in the price due to additional costs, it would be better to remove them from the menu. Also, charging €2.75 for tap water is unnecessary when the single room rate with breakfast exceeds €400 per night, and the drinks, as well as the bar menu items, are all highly priced.

We most of all love the service, comfort, cleanliness and user-friendly facilities / room set up. The restaurant offers an excellent and wide selection of food (we tried everything from scampi, beef tartar, scallops, dessert), the bar has an interesting wine and cocktail selection and the breakfast is also very nice (especially the items on the menu like chocolate crepe 🤩). The location is conveniently located in Alta Badia, where we started many of our hikes or have the hotel shuttle take us there. The hotel gave us very helpful hiking route suggestions which suited our abilities and duration of stay. Thank you!

Not that I can think of.

Hotel Badia Hill was a wonderful experience. From start to finish the owner and staff were very welcoming and friendly. We enjoyed use of the wellness area with pool and loungers to enjoy the view and relax after long days of hiking. Michaela was very helpful with some hiking recommendations. We stayed in a room with a stunning view of the mountain and villages. My husband and I visited in June 2024 for our honeymoon and were surprised with rose petals and a special treat one evening after returning to our room! The bistro and porcino restaurant offer delicious food that is unbeatable! Of course the breakfast buffet was also wonderful. The hotel was in close proximity to many popular hikes and attractions in the area. We would certainly stay again and recommend to anyone!

I’m so pleased to write this review. Badia Hill is a heavenly place! We stayed there for almost a week in early June and used the hotel as our home base to hike in the Dolomites. We enjoyed every single moment of it, from the warm and personal welcome we received from the hosts, Micaela and Marco, to the details of the building’s sophisticated modern design with its soft lines and earthy tones hinting at Scandinavian inspiration. The rooms were sparkling clean, comfortable, uncluttered and inviting. The floor-to-ceiling glass wall opened to a balcony with breathtaking views of the Santa Croce massif. The cozy, embracing robes, the rain shower, the bedlinen, everything was pleasing. The hotel boasts two restaurants: Porcino is Michelin listed, but we mostly ate at the bistro. The food was outstanding and the service impeccable and never stuffy. The waiters, Enrico, Thomas, the barman Nicholas, and others could not have been more attentive and welcoming, but really everyone was just wonderful. The indoor-outdoor heated pool featuring a jacuzzi was a delight and the right place to relax after a long day of hiking. We ran out of time to try the Finnish sauna, but it looked enticing. The hotel is very well located and an easy drive to all the main hiking trails of the eastern Dolomites. This was one of the most amazing hotels I’ve ever stayed in in Europe. I highly recommend it and hope to go back to it one day.

The hotel was beautiful. Perfectly designed for skiers. The breakfast was diverse and deliciuos. The views from the pool awe inspiring. The staff more than friendly. Everything was perfect. I recommended the place to all my friends.

Everything was perfect honestly. The stay felt like a dream. The only thing i would change is - the staff needs to ask less often what our dinner plans are and if we want to dine at the hotel restaurant. Regardless of this, the hotel was one of the most amazing hotels i've stayed at and i have recommended it to all my friends.

The time is wonderful! Very attentive, kind, especially Anastasia and Michaela. The breakfast is spectacular, the view is amazing. The hotel itself is beautiful, modern, sophisticated. Great pool area, restaurants and location is convenient.

There is no air conditioning for summer time, what would be ok if the location was not a little noise. For a 5 star hotel, I miss a better room space, air conditioning and better chairs in the room.

Everything is beautiful, the room , the saunas, the pool , the food , and very nice views from the room . The breakfast in particular was very enjoyable , everything tasted so good . Also the staff are very friendly and very attentive. One of the best hotels I have ever stayed in . The design of the hotel is also amazing!

It would be nice if the pool and sauna stayed open longer in the evening , is the only small point I can think of .

my fiance and I LOVED our stay at badia hill! It is a beautifully designed and furnished new hotel that truly exceeded our expectations. When we checked in, we were treated to a refreshing welcome drink and our bags were brought to our room. The rooms were cozy and but had the most spectacular view of the mountains (especially at sunset on a clear day). It was spacious enough for two people. Beds and pillows were also very comfortable. We noticed that there was no kettle in the room but this was promptly brought to our room upon request, along with two cups and bags of tea. The wellness area on the top floor of the hotel felt very luxurious - there was a comfortable indoor lounge where could laze around drink tea/order drinks and snacks on an app, 2 saunas and an infinity pool, and many day beds for you sit and enjoy the incredible view of the mountains. during our 5 night stay, we ate at the in house restaurants every single night (wine bar for casual dining, Porcino for a course meal/fine dining) and enjoyed the food so much! there aren't many good food options in the small town of badia so it felt very relaxing to come back after a busy day of hiking and have excellent food options right below your room. we tried the badia ghrill night on sunday which served a delicious tomahawk and polenta with cheese. Porcino was also a gastronomical experience - every dish was well executed and paired with superb wines recommended by Michaela. We loved both of Porcino's course menus - the 6 course chef recommendation and the 4 course summer menu!! breakfast was also well done with a good variety of yoghurts, cheese, meats, fresh breads, and a selection of cook-to-order hot dishes (omelette, crepes, scrambled eggs, sausages), and coffee was served to the table. we really appreciated the warm hospitality and professionalism of the badia hill staff - the hosts michaela and marco, the waiters eugenio, giosue, thomas, dennis! we hope to be back in the winter :)

everything was excellent! however we noticed that the flush in the toilet in our room was a little too strong, so we had to keep closing the cover after using it rooms can get a little stuffy in the middle of the night if you don't open the windows but we noticed that this is quite common in other european hotels as well alta badia is slightly out of the way of the "usual" hiking spots (tre cime, cinque torre - much nearer to cortina d'ampezzo) but we enjoyed the armentara meadows hike nearby! would have been great to have a drying rack if possible!

As a first timer to the Dolomites, the location was perfectly position to visit some of the most popular hiking spots in the region. Petrol station, restaurants and car washes right by the hotel making it very convenient. The service was exceptional throughout, there is always someone around and actively checking to see if you need anything. We brought in takeaway one night and they set up a lovely table for us to eat in the restaurant. The room was amazing and offers panoramic views of Badia, they also have the best shower! The views get even better from the rooftop spa which is 360. Proper steam room and Sauna, and the infinity pool with the bubbles is the best way to spend an evening. There are plenty of areas to relax, so it never feels too busy. There’s ample space in the wellness area, with all types of chairs, and beds and egg chair swings. The main lounge and cigar room downstairs are great indoor places to relax. You may also fancy the sofas outside the front with the best view.
