This is our second stay at this hotel. No point really looking elsewhere for our budget. Perfect location near Piazza Maggiore and the centre of Bologna's tourist area. Restaurants and shopping within easy walking distance and the hotel is in a quiet location.

Great little boutique hotel and breakfast was very good!

Location was great .. minutes away from the interesting places in Bologna ,very close to many shops and restaurants. Right in the heart of the city . The art in the hotel is very pretty and colorful and certainly a nice change from other hotels.

It’s kind of old and squeaky although bathroom is updated . Room was small. Elevator was horrible and scary kept jiggling and making noises , was stuck the next morning we were there , it really needs updating. We were on the third and last floor of the hotel , we had to use the stairs most of the time , the elevator was very slow going up and down. We had to climb 4 flights of stairs after breakfast which was on -1 . Breakfast was OK, nothing special. Could be much better for a four star hotel in Italy .

This hotel is located in the very center of Bologna - a perfect place for exploring the city. If you are driving your own vehicle be sure to get, and follow, the hotel instructions as you will be driving in the ZTL and through a pedestrian area. It may sound a little daunting at first, but we actually found it easy to do. Parking is available at the hotel for an additional fee. Being able to walk out the door and be right in Piazza Maggiore was a real benefit for us, as we had limited time to explore the city. The staff were very helpful, and called several restaurants for us to finally find one that had space for a last minute reservation. Also, the breakfast was great - lots of variety and well stocked. Room was comfortable, with interesting decor and nice bed. All in all it was an excellent choice!

We were ìn an apartment, a short distance from the hotel. The apartment was very spacious and had everything you would need for a short or long stay. The breakfast was in the hotel itself and had a great selection as part of the inclusive continental breakfast, including gluten free and dairy free options. I would definitely stay here again if going to Bologna. It is very close to Piazza Maggiore, so it is really close to all the main sites of Bologna. The staff were all really friendly and helpful too.

There wasn't anything I didn't like.

Excellent location, across the street from the Basilica. Nice buffet breakfast. Room pleasant, but not large. The balcony that was a selling point was really only useful for one night, because of the cool weather.

Some of the front-desk staff were friendly, while others were rather reserved -- helpful but not all that outgoing.

Front desk were helpful, room was comfortable and breakfast was excellent. Loved the Historic Art themed interior design

Make sure you catch taxi or arrange transfer from Train Station to hotel. Distance to pull suitcases over cobblestone is a little far

The TV in the room was enormous placed on a plinth in the middle of the room. It felt obstructive. Also, the room lighting was either full on department store bright, or just the reading light. Nothing in between

My stay was great. The room was just fine. Lots of stairs (even in my room!?) but that was fine. The location was terrific for walking around and seeing a bit of Bologna.

Getting there by car was harrowing, but the directions in and our (and the video) got the job done.

Hotel is as close to the main square and all the restaurants and main sites as you could wish, yet the room was very quiet and peaceful. Breakfasts offer all the options and there are plenty of staff on hand if you need anything special. Reception is always staffed and very helpful. Someone even appeared to welcome us as we stepped out of our taxi. Room was kept spotlessly clean. Maid service the best we have had anywhere.

Can't really think of anything. We did once have a small problem with the lights in the room but the electrician appeared within minutes and fixed it.

To start the location is unbeatable. You’re steps away from central of historical bologna. As a tourist, the main sites are right there. Most of popular sites are less than a 3 min walk and there are tons more no more than 10 mins away. Being able to do so anything and walk back to the hotel to go to the bathroom, then head right back out is perfect. Tons of amazing restaurants close by. The hotel is facing the left side of Chiesa Saint Petroni, and is like 50-70 steps away from the front in the Piazza maggiorge. With a great restaurant, and bar/eatery enroute. One is a great place to grab a drink while over looking the piazza, the other a great dinner spot. The property is beautiful, and recently renovated. Our room was delightful. It had everything we needed, and provided a perfect space to hangout in, while we planned our next adventure. With a king size bed, a pullout couch and a chair, there was ample seating and seating space for me and my father. The room is also beautiful inside. Walls were vibrant, and the room felt like a work of art. The Bathroom was large, clean, and newer. The room was well thought out with many light switches and plugs to make them easy to an access near sleeping and waking areas. We stayed in the Duchess suite and had a little patio with a table and chairs. It is in under view, but worked perfectly to eat on. We were so happy with our choice to stay here and highly recommend it to anyone traveling to bologna.

That my stay had to come to an end! The property was perfect!
