We had an amazing stay at Hotel Elephant. The building of the hotel is very beautiful and full of history. The staff, especially the staff at breakfast and the lady cleaning our room, were very nice and friendly. Our room was spacious and very comfortable. When we arrived, the staff of the hotel left us some biscuits and fruits in our room as a welcome. One of the best things was the breakfast which was excellent, with plenty of options, including fresh and dried fruits, yogurt, speck and a large variety of cakes and teas.

We liked everything. The only thing to bear in mind is that if you have a room in the dependance, as we did, it was really nice but the only downside was that to access the pool we had to go outside and cross the road (unlike people in the main hotel who could go directly from their room by using the lift). But this was just a very minor thing and did not spoil our stay, which was super!

- the staff are all wonderful, despite of how busy they may be they always make time to greet you and help you with a smile. The true asset of this property - location, right by the town center - the room size, it was huge - the garden and grounds, truly beautiful - food at the restaurant (regular restaurant, not the Michelin star one). Had dinner one night and it was delicious

- I was debating between a 9 and an 8 in terms of rating but the lack of aircon or a proper cooling machine led me to the 8. It’s very hot in Italy in summer and the little desk fan is nowhere near enough to help with it. If sleeping with the window open, you can hear all the street noises as the hotel is very central and sleep will get impacted - water power in the shower is very weak (sadly that can’t be fixed) - big and old fashioned room keys

What an amazing historical hotel in the city center. It was been recently renovated and it is beautiful. The history behind the hotel and its name made it special. All the staff were very friendly and helpful with recommendations. The breakfast buffet is very extensive and delicious and varied slightly everyday. The bar is beautiful and we enjoyed having a cocktail before going out to dinner. But the highlight was the tasting dinner in the Apostle Room with the wine pairing. It is indeed the best meal we have ever had. It is worthy of its Michelin star. We would definitely return and highly recommended this hotel.

Nothing.

The unique decor, atmosphere and the story of the hotel. The breakfast is great with a lot of Versailles. The spa is very nice Mini refrigerator in the room and also a plate of fruits waited for us upon arrival

The floor is a bit squeaky ( I know it is an old building) The cleaning of the room is being done early- one day they knocked on the door while we were still in bed, and one day they were cleaning when we came back from breakfast The pillows are very uncomfortable (but the beds are very good and comfortable)

Lovely historic hotel at the edge of Brixen old town. Staff are very helpful and friendly. When we arrived, it was pouring and somebody else grabbed the last available taxi at the railway station. Not only did they hotel order a taxi for us, but they called me back on a transatlantic phone number to confirm that they had done so. The hotel also has a nice private garden across the street with a small swimming pool.

There does not seem to be air conditioning, so it might not be a great choice during very hot weather (it was fine when we visited). The room did not have a lot of electrical outlets for its size (I was prepared for this) . Both of these are things one might expect in a historic property.

I had a wonderfull stay in Hotel Elphant. The hotel itself has a long and interesting history, a beautiful interior and and big and lush garden with swimming pool. A perfect spot to relax after hiking in Plose... Restaurant is very good as well, has excellent sevice and very good wine collection. All worked perfectly.

the only thing missing was aircon, in the afternoon the room did get a bit too warm, but luckily nights were cool enough and it was ok with windows open.

The Elephant is a hotel in a very old, but well renovated building in Brixen. The interior is very interesting and shows very old furniture and paintings. There is large garden for guest to walk and rest opposite of the hotel. The rooms are very elegant and well equipped. There are several shower items for guests. The breakfast buffet is excellent and leaves nothing to be desired.

Very expensive. However you know what your paying for: Great area close to the Dolomites, Very nice city, Good hotel ...

Everything about Hotel Elephant was lovely, from the story to the facilities to the restaurant to the staff. While I didn't stay long enough to explore the town it was located close enough to walk from the train station, but far enough to feel like it wasn't too busy. The staff was quite helpful, arranging dinner for that night, a taxi for the morning, and even a free gondola ticket! The historic hotel was charming with oodles of ambiance.

Excellent selections at bfast both hot and cold. Had the tasting menu dinner at the newly opened Michelin apostlestabln restaurant. The FOOD!!! fabulous and so creative, the service an equal to the great food, the wine pairings were perfect as well. And the bartender was a huge delight!!! Shout out, big thumbs up to everyone who crafted an absolutely delightful dining experience set in this historic hotel.

This is a truly beautiful, elegant hotel with a great location for exploring Brixen on foot. The public areas are furnished with lovely grand furnishings and paintings. The room was spotless and decorated/furnished to a very high standard. All the staff from check in to check out were exceptional. Attentive, cheerful, professional……a real credit to the hotel. Our little dog was made to feel most welcome in all areas of the hotel. The on-site parking is convenient and allows easy access to reception. The gardens are a real treat, surrounded by Mountain View’s. Much larger than expected and kept beautifully. A small pool with a pool house, loungers around the grounds, excellent bar service etc gave it a real ‘holiday’ feel. The online photos don’t do it justice and it really exceeded our expectations. I would definitely return and maybe stay longer next time to enjoy this lovely hotel and surrounding area. To be honest, you could uproot the hotel and drop it into an industrial site and it would still be fabulous. Would highly recommend.
