Cool spa, clean pool with 2 saunas and steam room. Beautiful view from the room. Well equipment gym. Staff is very friendly and welcome.

With 5 mins walking distance to Col Rodella lift, the hotel is perfect for skiers. One highlight is free ski tour led by the hotel’s ski guide Stefano Gasparoli. Stefano knows the dolomiti area inside out and every day depends on the weather he offers day tour around Dolomites that suits intermediate & experienced skiers. We have done one day trip to Sceda with him and thoroughly enjoyed it. Food & drinks were of great quality & value. We stayed for 7 nights with half board: Breakfast is buffet with plenty of hot food, salads & fruits. Extra add-ons such as omelettes are available at reasonable prices. Dinner comes with buffet style cold starters, then 2 main courses & dessert of our choices. Dinner menu varies and it’s usually a good mix of Italian and other European style cooking. Soft drinks & alcohol are charged extra but again at very affordable prices. Staff are pleasantly attentive and friendly. They don’t speak much English but their smiles & desire to help made our stay very enjoyable. Many other guests are regulars which says something about its service. The hotel comes with its spa & sauna facility, small but does its job.

The only improvement is the WiFi

Nothing has changed sincel my previous stay in this hotel. Still this is a perfect place to have splendid skiing and great vacation. There is a private comfortable bathroom with a shover in an enough spacious room. Large comfy bed as well. Half board at a very high level especially dinner incl. typical meals. But the major advantage is skiing- huge ski room with a lockers and a direct access to the Rodella gondola lift, ski in and ski out. I would definetely recommend this hotel.

Request to wear swimming caps in the pool - the standard shower cap they wouldn’t accept, you had to buy one in spa reception No kettle and cups in the room, had to ask reception for one. Village is too small and completely dies out after 8 pm - no shops working or bars with people, you are stuck in the hotel in the evenings Hard to get to the place without a car

Property is in perfect location and amazing views . There is sauna free of charge which is brilliant after hiking. It is important to mention that property offers hiking tours with very experienced guide Stefano. We loved these hikes and only thing I can say - Stefano have chosen perfect hikes at the time of our stay. With amazing views of Dolomites, creeks, forests. Thanks Stefano - you made us to make a plan to come back to Compitella (and hotel Medil ) in the nearest future!!!!

good location, friendly staff, everything was clean, room was comfortable, nice bathroom, spa facilities free for guests, amazing breakfast buffet.

flooring in our room was very creaky with every footstep. half-board meal options were not to our tastes and we basically ended up just eating a dessert each. (half-board would be better, if it was for example, a monetary value of €20 per person towards their choice off of the a la carte menu)

It was a nice experience. The spa was great. Overall it exceeded our expectations.

I didn't like the fact that this being a 4 star hotel will charge extra for a fresh orange juice during breakfast. The available juices were disappointing to say the least, with a chemical taste. But this was the only issue for us.

I’m not sure I can do justice to how wonderful Hotel Medil is, with this review. To begin, the communication and assistance from the manager, Davide Fait, even before our arrival was outstanding. Not only was he helpful with transportation resources, he also pointed us to area partners and provided us with a Trentino Guest card, allowing for gratis bus and Trentino Transport usage and discounted tours from day of arrival to departure, throughout the Trentino area. What was unexpected were the fabulous dinners and breakfasts, especially after having read poor reviews about the food. Beyond the impeccable and attentive servers, each meal was beautifully prepared, delicious, hot, with ample portions for any appetite. There were choices of entrees, primos and desserts, with the option of a different traditional Trentino dish served at every meal. The chef is to be commended: definitely a four star restaurant deserving of a fifth star. Perhaps I didn’t read the hotel online site in careful detail, so I was pleasantly surprised that the Hotel provided the service of a ski guide: Stefano was a joy to ski with. The ski area extends over a wide area, and we would have been quite challenged to find our way about without his expert guidance. Balancing safety consciousness with patience and humor is a gift: we thoroughly enjoyed his company. Did I mention the hotel’s heated equipment lockers? Warm, dry boots every morning: amazing! We also took advantage of the hotel (free of charge) spa’s whirlpools, sauna, ice fountain and steam room every day for ski recovery. The facilities, as with the rest of the hotel rooms and public areas, were immaculate and elegant. Frederica provided me with a fine deep tissue massage (very reasonable 50 eu) and her colleagues Kimberly and Luis were excellent attendants, ready with a smile and comfort daily. My husband and I thought every member of the hotel staff was both friendly and well trained.

Breakfast was pretty good, plenty of options including eggs, bread, croissants, cold cuts, yogurt and fruit. The best part about our stay was our time with Stefano the ski guide. We spent three days skiing with him and a few other people. He knows the mountains and ski resort really well and saved us a lot of time with standing in lines due to his knowledge of the ski areas and where it would be busier or not. We did the Sellaronda route with him, the San Pellegrino ski area (we drove there) and another route (don’t recall what it was called). He has a great attitude, very friendly and made our time skiing great as we never had to worry about looking at a map to see which lift we should go on. Thanks Stefano!!

The food at dinner (tried on two different nights) had much room for improvement. Lacked flavor, and we were not impressed at all. Would opt next time instead to make reservations at other restaurants in the town or other towns instead. It seemed the food in Campitello wasn’t fabulous either actually, but we didn’t get a table at a few of the restaurants we would have liked to try as they were fully booked. If you go during a busy time, make sure to make dinner reservations in advance.

Beautiful breakfast great selection. Ideal location walkable to shops and restaurants and gondola. Great biking path to Canazei. They put a lovely happy anniversary note with chocolates out for us which is so thoughtful

The spa area was very crowded maybe better of you could book a time slot to eliviate this problem?
