The hotel is in an excellent location, practically next door to the funicular to Brunate, a two minute walk to the bus station and a further minute to the ferry ticket office. It is a 15/20 minute walk to San Giovanni train station and there is also a bus stop nearby serviced by the No. 4 or 5 bus that will drop you to the station. The hotel is spotless with excellent and very friendly staff from housekeeping, hospitality and reception. A special word of mention to the young girl in reception whose personality and amiable manner made our stay such a success. The breakfast is top notch, plenty of choice and no problem to the lovely woman working at breakfast to provide us with a pot of tea every morning.

The rooms are a little on the small side with the shower in particular a little claustrophobic. They are however very well soundproofed and we never heard any outside noise bar the thunder we were unfortunate enough to experience on two night of our stay.

Location is fantastic. Right on the Lake front. Restaurant attached to the Hotel is also excellent. Food very good, plenty of waiters and all very happy to be of assistance. Breakfast is basic - but entirely acceptable. Perfect location to explore the lake and Como itself. Very short walk from the Station

Room is quite basic and small. But it does have aircon, is spotlessly clean and the bathroom is a very good size. If you plan on only using the room to shower, change and sleep, then it will serve well.

Hotel is the perfect retreat! The rooms here are not only comfortable but also cozy, with attention to detail in the interior design, creating a special atmosphere of comfort. The cleanliness in the rooms is maintained at a high level, and every time we returned to our room, we felt freshness and comfort. The hotel staff deserves special mention - friendly and attentive, they made our stay particularly enjoyable. The surroundings of the hotel are simply breathtaking, with picturesque views and plenty of opportunities for tourism and walks. We highly recommend the Hotel for those who want to enjoy the comfort and beauty of nature during their stay.

From the moment we arrived the team at Hotel Marco made our 7 night stay very enjoyable. Yes the rooms are on the small side but they have everything you need and would expect in a boutique style small hotel such as this. The beds were very comfortable and plenty of hot water and fresh towels daily. The staff were exceptional with special mention to Sefa, Davide, Ilda and Khiarra. We ate breakfast each morning soaking up the atmosphere as we overlooked the lake. We had dinner in the restaurant on one of the evenings and this was also very good. All in all we would recommend a stay at Hotel Marco if you want genuine hospitality and an excellent location.

The location and the Funicular Ristorante staff were exceptional. Our room, which was in an annex to the hotel was big and clean and had air conditioning. Being off the main drag, it was also very quiet.

If we wanted a room with a view our room in the annex was not a good choice, however the room was a very very good value with great air conditioning. If you have breakfast included you will be very happy with the quality and quantity of the food.

We requested a water view room and loved our little hide-a-way with balcony. Location of Hotel Marco's is walking distance from everything in Como City. Food was excellent. We enjoyed the outdoor patio for breakfast, lunch and dinner! And, just sitting with a glass of wine!

Loved the place 100%, except the climb of stairs to our room. The front desk helped with luggage on our arrival, but we had difficulty upon departure.

The hotel overlooks Lake Como, so guests staying on 2nd floor and higher benefit from good views. It's also close to many restaurants and the main shopping centre.

The bedroom is compact. On our first night we ate at the hotel, on their outdoor area and were approached 6 times by people selling flowers. It was surprising the hotel hasn't banned them from this practice.

Location was really good. Staff was friendly and made good suggestions. The hotel is in good proximity to the city center, the train station and the ferry terminal as well. Overall a good vacation.

Our room had a lake facing window whereas the other rooms facing the lake had balconies. Had it been mentioned in detail at the time of booking we could have gone for a balcony room.

Everything was just lovely. Staff on reception were very welcoming and helpful. The room was comfortable, clean with a great view of the lake and a small balcony. There was a good selection of foods for breakfast and the service was friendly. We ate dinner in the restaurant each night because the food was delicious and the staff were excellent. A great location for the boats and the Funicular.

This is a three star hotel, which we felt was a bit overpriced for the facilities, probably because it is in a main tourist destination. The room was small, but clean and comfortable (no bidet, which disappointed my wife). There was a small balcony with lake view and it was a joy to watch the people passing and the boat (and seaplane) traffic on the lake. Quiet at night. Good location. Best thing was the staff who were cheerful, friendly and very helpful. As always in Italy being able to speak some Italian helps smooth things out. Many good bars and restaurants very close by.

Nothing to dislike, but as stated the rooms are quite small and the facilities limited for the price. No complaints though.
