The apartment we stayed in was more than ample for our group of 5. We had 2 bathrooms and a big kitchen. The terraces with the view of the village in the valley was a dream! The pool area did not only have a bar, it has it's own gourmet restaurant. Absolutely fantastic food! They eve have bbq facilities and a pizza oven, which was super popular with the kids and a nice place to mingle with other guests and share experiences. The family is so welcoming and accommodating, it feels like coming home.

On weekends, they open up to locals who come and have lunch and enjoy the pool. It's a nice initiative, but it got a bit cramped.

This was by far my favorite part of 18 days vacation! It was so peaceful! It’s up on the hillside over looking the small village. The breakfast was amazing. The spa is a must do! I’d recommend 2 hours. The pool is such a treat as well. The penthouse suite we had in the attic was so so so nice! It’s so clean and really comfortable. The hospitality was like no other compared to anywhere we stayed while In Italy. This place was a 15/10, I would love to come back and stay. If you get a chance stay here it’s amazing, you won’t regret it. Make sure to get a pizza at Zitto e Mangia! Best pizza we have ever had.

One of the best stays ever. Breathtaking views. Amazing maisonette, saltwater swimming pool, the whole thing is just splendid. Last but not least, Mr. Stefano and Mrs. Lisa are very nice people and very helpful. If you're looking for a piece of heaven where to relax and enjoy nature, this is definitely for you.

It's a small resort situated in a remote area. No shuttle or taxis available. Car rental might be the only option.

I, and my family, ended up staying three nights at Borgo di Villa Cellaia, as it was the small town/rural Tuscan “resort” retreat experiences we really enjoyed. A genuine warmth that made us all feel at ease and welcomed. Just the right balance between luxury and family-run hospitality that is not set out to nickel-and-dime you. And small touches that you know weren’t needed but make all the difference. The apartments are well-appointed for a short stay where you balance some outside (or on-site restaurant) meals with home-cooked ones. The outdoor and pool area is lush and boosts views of Dicomono and the valley. Also, a small but important detail of the grounds of the resorts is that the outdoor areas feature an automated anti-mosquito repellent system. It makes a difference. It’s a place we will return to and confidently recommend.

Beautiful accomodation clean and tidy with excellent facilities. The setting is stunning with beautiful countryside all around. Try the restaurant the food was delicious. Stefano and Lisa were excellent hosts. The walk from town is a challenge but we managed it daily and are no spring chickens and the views on the way make it well worth it.

Couldn't fault it

It was all perfect. The location, very friendly staff and owners, beautiful pool area and apartment. You will not be disappointed if you book a stay in Villa Cellaia. The town Dicomano is near and has a railway station from which you can visit towns like Florence and Arezzo by train, a big plus if you want to travel relaxed.

Nothing.

This property was incredibly beautiful. I loved the grounds, and our Villa was really really great. Very well decorated, very clean, updated / modern, but still with old charm. I absolutely loved it. And it had a great view! Also the breakfast was very nice (€12pp includes juice, water, eggs, coffee, delicious pastries, prosciutto & cheese. €5pp is for coffee, water & pastries- we did one each day). I definitely recommend! (Even more so when it’s warm so you can enjoy the beautiful pool area).

I didn’t realize that the on-site restaurant is only open on the weekends, so being that we stayed during the week, it was never open. And we did not have a car (we took the train there and then realized there are no taxis here, so the owner was SO kind as to drive us back to the train station when we had to leave), so we couldn’t get into town for anything during our 2 night stay. The owner did offer to bring us into town when we needed, but being that would require a second trip to bring us back, we didn’t want to bother him. So we just made due with what we had, which included snacks that the owner graciously let us take back with us from their great breakfast! Also since the place is so beautiful & comfortable, it really wasn’t a big deal that we stayed put for our two days there :)

This was the best place we stayed on our 17 day trip to Italy. Far exceeded our expectations and this is a hidden gem. So well maintained and we had to stay another night as we didn't want to leave. Stefano and Lisa (and family) are amazing hosts.

Nothing. Don't look any further than this.

Thanks a lot to Stefano and his family for a very memorable stay in Tuscany. They were excellent hosts. The place is outstanding, one of the best accomodations we had. We enjoyed the spacious and beautiful apartment, the luxury spa, the great pool area, and the views to Dicomano and the surrounding moutains. In the evening we did nice walks to Dicomano where you can find some unique restaurants. Also don't miss La Casa del Prosciutto in Vicchio. But you can have also a superb dinner at the location, not to forget the rich and tasty breakfast we booked for a few days.

Really nothing.

We spent almost a week at Il Borgo di Cellaia at the renovated former farmhouse. The renewed and well-preserved antiquites (some furniture and door), the beautiful estate, the cool pool were beyond our expectations. The apartment was super-clean an well aquiped. The restaurant offers home-made Tuscan specialities (open from Friday to Monday). The hosts, Lisa and Stefano did an amazing job. It is far from the city, up on the hill with picturesque view to the Valley Comano. The only we missed is our coffee machine.
