It’s located next to a big park. The rooms are spacious with a nice bathroom including an Italian bidet. Coffee and tea selection available in the room with a fridge and small minibar.

The only strange thing is you must leave the key at the reception and collect it upon return. I assume because they need to clean the room. Not really an issue I’m just not used to it.

The hotel was very welcoming, clean and nicely decorated. The staff were very welcoming and we were given a complimentary drink on arrival. We would definately stay again but will request a room to the back of the building.

Our bedroom was located on the 3rd floor to the front of the building. Early, every morning, the bottle bins were emptied by the bin collectors several times, which kept us awake. Then around 7am they were doing road works outside! Seeing as we were only there 3 nights we didn't ask to move rooms but would have done if we'd stayed any longer.

For an Italian hotel the breakfast buffet was very good 👍🏼

The mattress was too soft for us

The hotel was conveniently located in the city, and though the room was small, it was comfortable, especially the bed. One staff person was particularly kind, and following his recommendations, my grandson and I had a much more lovely time in Florence. The breakfast in the morning was a buffet which was well priced and presented a variety of breads and baked goods, cheeses, meats, fruits, etc., but the best part was the little balcony overlooking the small courtyard of the hotel below and the rooftops of other buildings. I had my zen moments of the day there. Also, the flavored water in the lobby was quite refreshing! Coffee was good too!

I would have liked a small washcloth/face cloth in the bathroom. These did not appear in any of the places I stayed, so I guess they aren't a thing in Italy.

Hotel Caravaggio was very comfortable and in a great location close to the main station, the Central Market (5minutes) and easy walking distance to most of the major sights (Duomo 10m, Uffizi 15m). Everything was so close! I loved looking out my window and seeing no less than five domes/spires/bell towers, including Giotto’s. The lounge/bar area is very nice and this opens through doors out to the garden where you can have a drink. The reception staff were lovely and very helpful. I would definitely stay here again next time in Florence.

The hotel was very clean and facilities good. The staff were very pleasant and friendly. Location very handy for station and not too far to walk to sites. The little terrace was great and much appreciated after a hot tiring day.

Our room was adjacent to the breakfast room and the staff were very noisy setting up each morning. It also overlooked the next door restaurants terrace which was very noisy at night and the view from our rooms overlooked their flat metal roof. Not the view of Florence rooftops I dreamed of.

The hotel has a great location, close enough to the Train Station that you can walk. Also walking distance from all the main sites. Breakfast was good, and the room was quiet and comfortable.

The room had old furniture that had a very "dated" feeling. The locks in the rooms are old keys that you have to leave at the front desk every time you leave the property.

8 minute straight walk from airport tram. 10, 20 min walk from monuments. Bus stop right in front if too much walking during the day. I asked for a quiet room, so it was. Amazing breakfast with REAL orange juice. Don't underestimate the pleasure of the real stuff Vs concentrate. Variety of bread, fruit, pastry, cereals, cheeses, meats. Ultra nice staff. The hotel is not a flashy, ultra modern, but I was not looking for a hotel to stay during the day. A nice little backyard. Air conditioning. Clean, with everything I needed. I would stay again.

This is a pretty hotel, located in a great area. Nice Bathrooms and fittings. Equidistant between the train station and the Duomo and very good value.

Make sure that you request a room at the back of the hotel, not the front. The hotel is on a busy road junction and bus route (which is convenient) but I found the traffic noise and headlights unbearable in the initial room I was allocated. Fortunately another room was available at the back where I had a peaceful nights sleep. The pillows are the flattest I've ever come across.
