The room was absolutely beautiful, immaculate, quiet and comfortable. All members of staff were kind, polite, and always ready to help. Perfect location within walking distance to all major attraction. We will definitely come back here!

For guests staying longer, a clothes iron would be a perfect addition

Everything was perfect. Location. This is a room in a flat at the top of a very old building in central Florence. I was a little anxious that Via Cavour might be a busy road, but it is not (the city of Florence now has strict traffic restrictions, so streets that look [on the map] like a main thoroughfare have surprisingly little traffic). Being at the top and at the back of the building, there was no noise or pollution, and a lovely view over the hills surrounding the city. We planned to buy a bus pass, but in spite of my poor mobility (I have osteoarthritis, and walk with a stick) we were able to walk into the centre of town in about 10 minutes, so no need for buses. Most people walk faster than me. Room. The room was a good size and very luxurious. The beds were very comfortable, and all the furnishings felt like a top-class hotel. The shower room also had top class fittings, including a heated towel rail , which was always hot. Cleanliness. Everywhere - bedroom, shower room, shared kitchen and living room, the flat was impeccably clean. Our room was part of a flat with other rooms, although we never met any other guests. There was a kitchen for our use, but more for making drinks and breakfast than proper meals. We found a really good restaurant across the road and were not interested in cooking, being obsessed with art, and art only. The shared living room (which we didn't really use, as we were out all day, every day, seeing more art) was beautifully furnished. In the last week of November our hostess Luana put up some very tasteful and artistic decorations - ideas for Christmas at home! What else was perfect? Our hostess, Luana, and her staff.

I suppose I should put something here, but it was perfect for us. It would be less perfect for people who need to be waited on hand and foot, and do silly things like losing their keys. The staff are not present 24/7, although they can be contacted in an emergency. The building is on the top floor, but there are other floors and other flats, so some consideration for others is required. There are several keys, one for the front door, one for the flat, one for the room. Access to the top floor is by a rather ancient lift, not that easy to operate (until you get used to it).

Everything ! We had room 43 with a direct view of the Duomo from both bedroom and bath room , top shower with accurate temperature control etc , large comfortable bed . Six- star room !!

This is knit picking only : this is a small 6 room Inn on the 4 floor of a building . To enter from the street you have to press the bell to get in and arrival time has to be communicated clearly with the staff prior to arrival time time . We have no problem ( even we arrived way too early ) . A shiny brass sign on the wall outside clearly indicate a phone number and name of the main hotel where it is managed remotely from in case you need help

The San Giuliano is well located within a 15-20 minute walk from the train station and most of the major attractions in Florence (Duomo, Uffezi,Accademia,etc). The Inn was exceptionally clean and well appointed. The largest bathroom and shower on our 2 week stay in Italy. The staff was very nice & helpful with directions and being certain our needs were met. They provide cappuccino & croissants each morning as well as a refrigerator stocked with water, beer & wine (gratis). If we ever return to Florence, we would stay here again.

Fantastic room (43) with view of the Duomo (stayed 4 nights). All the sights and train station are in walking distance. Amazingly comfortable bed and nice sized room, kept exceptionally clean. Windows very soundproof. Great bathroom and shower always nice and hot and good water pressure. Fridge and safe in room. Access to kitchen 24hrs where you can make yourself a hot drink. There is also a fridge in there with complimentary bottles of water, juice, coke, beers and yogurts. Also fresh croissants in there every morning. Hosts were amazing, friendly and looked after us so well and we were given a lovely bunch of mimosa as a gift when we left. Would definitely stay here again.

There was nothing negative about this place. It was perfect!

Location was excellent, walking distance to everything. Room was a good size compared to room sizes in Europe. They cleaned the room everyday.

There was an elderly lady at the reception who seemed like the manager or owner of the place. She was pretty rude. She created a big deal for making a cappuccino during the day whereas we were told it is available 24 hours a day. There was complimentary breakfast which was mentioned in booking.com but she made a big deal of that too as though she was doing us a favour. But rest of the staff was excellent especially the manager who did our check in and Derrick also. Very curious.

Our early morning flight was unfortunately delayed then cancelled so we had to stay one more night in Florence. San Guiliano Inn happily accommodated and understood our situation and we were able to stay in the same room that we already stayed in a couple of nights. Only 3 minutes away from the Academia Gallery and walking distance to literally everything—from the train station to the Florence Cathedral. Keep in mind that there is neither Uber nor Taxi in the early morning so you have to take the tram going to the airport. Truly a gem in the heart of the city!

Absolutely incredible! I don't think I've EVER stayed in a place that cares so very deeply on every level about their guests' experience. Location was pretty close to everything, grocery store nearby, but the STAFF was amazing, and one even loaned us her personal umbrella to use! The coffee machine was fantastic, the breakfast croissants and jams were perfect, the sound proofing was great, rooms were spotless, views of the basilica were such a bonus, and it was all just a wonderful experience all around!

I would have liked to have stayed longer, but that's my fault, not the hotel :)

Very centrally located. For instance, 10 min walk to the Duomo and just a block and a half away from All'Antico sandwiches and the Galleria dell'Accademia. The room was beautiful and we had a view of the Duomo from the bed! Although centrally located, the room was so quiet at night, which was perfect. They also had free cappuccino and water - a HUGE plus in my book! I didn't mind that breakfast was not included because Florence has so much good food to explore. All in all, a 10/10 experience here.

I didn't realize that the Inn is on the 4th floor (5th floor for Americans) of a quiet and subtly marked building without a traditional front desk concierge. However, it was still easy to find and just remember to take the elevator to the 4th floor and everything will be extremely easy from there.

Upscale furnishings & ambiance! Softest bed on our trip to Italy! Slept like a dream! Friendly helpful staff. Central fridge with water, soda, beer & wine! Coffee & croissants in morning! Great shower & towels. Excellent lighting. Small Elevator access. Very close to Mercado & Galleria dell'Accademia di Firenze. (Not as close to River but walkable!)

We only had trouble with a slow shower drain. Better to not run the water continuously so it can keep up.
