Roberto was super helpful and such a great guy. He went above and beyond to serve us whilst we were there. Thank you also to Mario and Emilio too for their friendly service. The place is really clean. The rooms were quiet and dark also from the morning light. The bed was really comfortable, memory foam pillows and mattress.

Hotel Palazzo Alexander is ideally placed in the historic centre of Lucca. The hotel is easily reached from the train station. It is in a quiet street. Staff are always friendly, professional and helpful. Breakfast was generous and beautifully served. Rooms are great and bathroom amenities are good. The hotel is just around the corner from the Tourist Information Office and a step away from the Puccini Museum. Lots of nice restaurants in the vicinity. Good internet connection. Would happily stay here again.

Pillows are hard, but you actually get used to them. Everything else was great.

This charming boutique hotel offers an enchanting escape into the world of exceptional hospitality. From the warm, friendly welcome by the owners, Mario and his son Gabriel, to the polished professionalism of the entire staff, every moment here is memorable. A special shout-out to Roberto at breakfast for his effort in speaking with us in English – it was much appreciated. The rooms, with their old-world charm, perfectly reflect the historic character of the city. The beds are incredibly comfortable, and the strong shower pressure and efficient air conditioning are exactly what you need during the hot summer months. Situated on a quiet cobbled street within the ancient walls of this stunning city, the hotel is just a short stroll away from numerous cafes and restaurants along the winding streets. Highly recommended. Mille grazie to the entire team! ⭐️

The hotel staff is amazing, the rooms are comfortable, and the complimentary breakfast is ample and excellent. The hotel also offers parking at an affordable rate. The hotel owner was kind enough to manage the driving and parking of the car inside the city walls.

Driving inside the city walls is very difficult. The streets are very narrow and confusing, and you cannot rely on GPS to get you there. I had to park the car near the city gate and walk to the hotel. The hotel owner walked back to the car with me, drove the car back to the hotel, helped me unload it, and then parked it for me.

Delightful boutique hotel with excellent staff that make you feel welcome from the first moment. The bed was comfy, the air conditioning quiet and the shower was nice and powerful. The room was cleaned everyday, with fresh bedding and towels. Coffee machine and kettle in the room, is a really nice touch. The breakfasts is fresh everyday and a simple offering but more than enough choice. I had fresh fruit and yogurt whilst my husband went for made to order scrambled eggs and bacon. Location is great, and at the heart of the town.

We had no complaints- a gem!

We had an exceptional stay at [Hotel Name] in Lucca, largely thanks to the wonderful night porter. He welcomed us warmly upon our late arrival, going above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable. The next day, when we mistakenly parked our car in the wrong place, he once again went out of his way to assist us. His kindness and dedication truly made our stay memorable. We wish every hotel had such a remarkable person on their team!

I thought hard about this question but could not think of anything it's a perfect location, nice personal and price quality does match. From all the hotels I am visiting business wise or holiday we allready decided to come back

What’s not to like about an elegant small hotel such as this in the heart of Lucca. On check in we got a great briefing of what to do in town and took the manager’s advice and attended the Puccini and Verde opera in a 1600 era cathedral. A high point. We also walked along the medieval walls of the town. The hotel was great. Breakfast was yummy, with pancakes and eggs and all of the continental goodies. We did book one room for each of us. Two tall people in these small European rooms wears thin on long trips (snoring included). So that made this stay pricey for us.

It was all good except one small weirdness. The rooms don’t have numbers but names of operas. No one pointed that out so it was a comedy of errors trying to get our key back at night when we returned from dinner from the night manager who didn’t speak English.

We liked the location as it is near to car parking outside the walls and is in a quiet part of the walled town. Although that means you are slightly further away from the main sights the distances are short. The hotel has lots of character although some of the fixtures look a little tired. We had a suite on the top floor which was very spacious. The bathroom was well equipped but there was no shower ( either separate or over the bath). There was a reasonable choice for breakfast with eggs freshly cooked. The staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful which made it a delightful place to stay.

Room ('junior suite') was good size, clean, comfortable and very quiet. Front of house staff were charming, helpful, polite - took our luggage to the room, made good recommendations and made bookings for us. Location is easy walk from the centre.

Room decor a bit tired. Hotel not that easy to find - needs a bigger sign on the street. Our room was on a half-landing about 15 steps up from the lift - didn't bother us but might be a drawback for guests with mobility issues. Supplies for tea/coffee weren't replaced.

A magical place in the centre of history of Lucca, a throwaway from both convenient parking - and walkways to magnificent churches - alongside narrow streets and their shade. A mind-reading team catering to your every wish - stimulating if not to improve one’s command of Italian - then to start learning it. A place to return. Grazie per tutti!
