The staff were lovely and welcoming. The location from the centre and the station was amazing. Very good air con. The bed was very comfortable. The room was only 6 steps above the ground. Excellent choice of food for breakfast.

The room was quite dark ( but this did keep it cool). The bathroom needed a new shower unit as the water leaked all over the floor when we used it. Also the shower needed tiling and a proper base unit rather than painted walls and floor. No tea or coffee making facility in room. You had to walk around the corner to sister hotel for breakfast. This was OK while we were there as weather was good.

One of the most wonferful hotels we have stayed in Italy. The breakfast was truly amazing with a wide range of options, and everything was freshly made. Would recommend it to everyone to book it. We were offered also a room upgrade in the dependence, and the room was very spacious and modern with great decor. Everything was also super clean. The staff is also very nice, helpful and really professional. We loved our whole stay. It was perfect.Thank you!

Location was exceptional. Within the city walls of Lucca close to restaurants, cafe's and quite accessible from the train station. Room was cosy and warm. Staff were brilliant. Provided me with an easy guide to my room despite my late arrival and the closing of reception. Very grateful for this.

Not to be negative as it didn't affect my stay but there was some construction going on beside my window which I guess was out of the control of the hotel

-Convenient location close to the train station & cathedral -Stylish & well-designed rooms and hallways -Staff were friendly and helpful -Excellent breakfast with good variety -You can leave luggage at the reception of its sister hotel

-The front desk is not staffed in this property so you have to proceed to the sister hotel at the corner of the street for check in/out, breakfast, etc; we initially didn't know this so we kept ringing the front desk buzzer at the main door (which was supposed to connect to the reception of the sister hotel but didn't) until we were successfully able to connect with the reception via WhatsApp. But all of this isn't so bad considering that you're paying less to stay in Hotel Diana relative to its sister hotel.

Our stay here was wonderful! Lucca is a hidden gem, and the location of Hotel Diana is right off the Piazza San Martino. The room is basic, but it's spacious and just fine for a couple for a few days. The staff are very pleasant and professional, and the check-in experience was easy. All in all, this was a great spot for a short trip to one of the prettiest cities we've ever been to. Highly recommend!

We would have loved a kettle or coffee maker in the room. Otherwise, all was well!

I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Diana in Lucca. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly, making the experience even more enjoyable. The room was comfortable, the shower was excellent, and the bathroom was spacious. The breakfast served was also great, with a wide variety of options to choose from. The location is fantastic, allowing easy access to explore the entire historic center on foot. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Lucca!

I was upgraded to a 3 star excellent room in the affiliated hotel, San Marino, next door. Also, I was treated to a lovely breakfast which was not offered originally. The location was close to the train station and within the walls of the old town, so everything was within walking distance. The staff was friendly and service was excellent.. Lucca is a beautiful town, clean and green, and offers many interesting sights and experiences.

We had a delightful stay at this hotel in the heart of Lucca. It’s just a 15-minute walk from the train station. The hotel personnel were super friendly, especially the receptionist lady who gave us a fantastic room in the other building on the 2nd floor. The room was very big, quiet, and exceptionally clean. The hotel breakfast was good too! Highly recommend this hotel for its excellent location and walkability to everything in Lucca!

First of all I was offered a room in the main hotel, Albergo San Martino, so these grades are not based on Hotel Diana which is a kind of annex. The staff were welcoming and very helpful. The location is excellent, being a two-minute stroll from the Cathedral and five minutes from the central piazzas. I had walked out of a very disappointing hotel, halfway through my intended stay. With better research I wish I had chosen the Albergo for both nights of my stay in Lucca.

I was slightly disappointed with the bread selection at breakfast but everything else was fine. Otherwise it is very hard to find fault with this excellent small hotel.

Communication from hotel pre-arrival was excellent, with a detailed map and detailed instructions relating to parking. Finding the Hotel and parking lot could potentially be problematic as it is located within the city walls but not within the ZTL. Upon arrival at the Hotel, we were personally guided to the parking lot. Hotel was ideally located, clean, secure and comfortable. Thank you.

Lucca in general is expensive, but beautiful and well worth a visit.
