We've been at the Posta several times and really like the staff, their service, and it feels good to return. Good location for airport bus, city busses, and fine breakfast. The rooms are not "fussy" but very comfortable. Same for the bathroom and common facilities. Drinks on the roof terrace if you like. Staff are helpful with tourist info, restaurants, and other local travel advice. AND,, there is a music school across the alley-way (nice small street) from which great music rafts. Rooms with small balconies are the best!

Breakfast was beautiful and served graciously. What was served was tasty. However, there was no protein that I could eat. I would have enjoyed even a hard boiled egg, even a cold, hard boiled egg for protein would be great.

What would serve was lovely, but I had a craving for some American coffee, not Americano. I mean 1/4 strength coffee, with real cream and sugar. My shower drain apparently blocked and the pan filled to almost overflowing onto the floor by the time I was done with my short shower. Also, the head of my bed was lower than the foot of the bed. It seemed an easy matter to just put a small wooden block under the legs of the bed at the head to level it out. I mentioned these items to the desk person and they said, “I know”. The hotel is over 100 years old and all those skeleton keys are kind of cool, they are clumsy, noisy, and time consuming.

Hotel location good & staff/service excellent. Lovely breakfast & everyone very helpful. If they could update rooms I would thoroughly recommend to anyone.

Front of hotel undergoing renovation work, which was a shock when trying to find hotel from picture on website. Also hotel rooms in need of an update, difficulty in getting keys to open door, no safe & shower pressure very poor. However beds are very comfy. Overlooked these negative issues as was a lovely atmosphere & staff did everything they could to make it a pleasant stay.

Very central for walking around all the sights. Room clean, bathroom abit small. Good a.c & wifi in the room. A small terrace to hang washing. The guy on the reception very friendly gave us alot of info around Palermo also the North coast where we are cycling. Our bikes were secure for 10€ a night . Excellent breakfast with very fresh fruit, pastries & eggs cooked if we wanted. Nice cool a.c in breakfast room Love Palermo night time beautiful

The staff were really great at Hotel Posta. They were so nice, helpful and attentive to the guests! Also the roof terrace was nice to sit on :) beds were also very comfy and breakfast was great as you can order what you want. Shoutout to both the hotel managers (I think they were the managers) they really did a lot to make our stay great!

When we booked the room the description said city view/balcony view out the window. Unfortunately the window looked out onto a tiny enclosed gap in the wall :/

Breakfast was unusual and good. The size of the room was generous and its general layout was good. The presence of a kettle and some accessories for making a hot drink were well received.

Being British, we like milk in our tea, but there was none, so those hot drink facilities were a little lacking in this respect even though it was a good effort for a mainland European room, where such facilities are often completely missing. The shower was underwhelming in terms of quantity of water delivery and ease of temperature control.

This hotel was in a great location for visiting the main sights of Palermo. There were direct buses to the train & bus station that ran every 10min or so from a stop close by as well as the airport shuttle bus. It was only a 10 min walk to Quattro Canti, Pretoria Fountain and many of the gorgeous churches, and a 15-20 min walk to the cathedral & Norman Palace. It's on the corner of an alley just 25-30 feet off the main street Via Roma so I felt safe walking to everything at night. There are no street lights in the alley so it gets pretty dark if you head away from Via Roma but there is no reason to go that way. Hotel is also very close to so many good restaurants. There is a manned front desk all day long which is nice. The front desk & breakfast staff are SO NICE, friendly, and helpful. Their breakfast area is small so a buffet breakfast wouldn't work efficiently. Instead, they deliver plates of bread, croissants, meat, cheese & fruit to your table. There are no hot food options, but that's typical of an Italian breakfast. There was plenty to eat and all the coffee we could enjoy! Our room was a decent size, had a very comfortable bed, outlets near both sides of the bed, and a small but efficient shower. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others.

Minor details: Our room didn't have an electric kettle as expected. It would have been nice to have a mini fridge but there was a grocery store within a block of the hotel to buy cold drinks. Bathroom was pretty good sized but they could use an extra table or bench to put toiletries on.

Hotel is small but very adequate and conveniently situated. Although the room was small there was plenty of storage space and clothes hangers and even had a mini balcony. The staff were all very warm, friendly and extremely helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for them and they were very helpful to a friend who was staying at another hotel. I was travelling with my sister but would definitely consider staying at the hotel Posta on a future occasion, even as a solo traveller.

I wouldn’t say this was negative, but it would have been more convenient to have a safe deposit box in the room rather than using the communal one at reception, but it wasn’t really a problem. The breakfast was good with flowing cups of tea and coffee but I found it quite unusual to have it served at the table rather than buffet style. As the hotel was full to capacity with guests, it could be that extra tables were a better way of utilising the space rather than using it for a buffet style breakfast table. These are just observations and not complaints.
