the hotel was clean and comfortable. The location is excellent for sightseeing and easy to get back to after a day out and about. we were at the front of the hotel and didn’t find it too noisy as the windows and shutters did a great job of muffling the traffic noise. The staff were excellent. Very friendly and welcoming throughout. Their English was great and they were happy to chat and help with anything.

The lady who helped us at reception and made coffee for us (she always remembered what all 10 of us drank in the morning) was phenomenal. She was a kind person, very friendly and very helpful. We loved the breakfast. It was a very secure building. The double doors by the windows blocked out street noise. The electronic shutters block out the light. It was a short walk to the Vatican, Trevi fountain and Spanish Steps. We liked the location.

We liked a lot. Having two sets of keys when two people are in a room instead of one would be a bonus, but the lady always opened the door for us when one of us had the keys and another had to return to the room.

The breakfast was great. The staff were available and helpful. The location in proximity to centro historico, ancient Rome, and the Vatican was perfect. The location next to the Tiber was a plus. We will look to use Augustana House first on our next visit to Rome.

Comfortable, clean and safe. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Made every effort to accommodate us. The junior suite was great. Large and with two bathrooms.🤗

Great location right on the Tiber river with balcony overlooking the street. 10 min walk to Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain.

A little too much traffic but the doors insulated the sound bery well.

Every thing is perfect! The staff especially Maya was very nice and helpfull! Breakfast is bad and we don't have so much choice. It could be better!

The hotel is small and the attention is very personal. It felt very secure, with 24 hour reception and double secure entry. Everywhere was gleaming, and the bedroom and bathroom were very modern and comfortable. Breakfast was good, not as wide a variety though as some larger hotels. Location was very convenient for walking to most attractions and bus route to Colosseum was just behind the hotel. The staff could not have been more helpful - we would highly recommend this hotel.

wonderful hotel right along the river. rooms were great with an incredibly comfortable bed. Bathroom was well designed and the shower was spacious, particularly so for Europe. Truly excellent breakfast. Fresh scrambled eggs (the best my girlfriend and I have ever had) as well as delicious tarts and cakes and pineapple and blood orange juice for consumption. They will also make you on request fresh espressos and cappuccinos. Staff were warm, and helpful, and when we had an issue with the difference between our stay at this hotel and the next they were willing to hold onto the bags until our next check in. If I’m in Rome again I will stay here.

very little not to like.

As we were only there for 15hrs overnight we weren’t worried about location nor did we really get to see the place properly. The Augustana was quite a quirky little set up. Enter through a courtyard, which is well secured by wrought iron locked gates so you have to use intercom to be let in. Staff were lovely mannered and very helpful. Breakfast was ok, not a big choice in hot food , but all that we wanted. It was downstairs from our room and not sure if there was a lift?! May not suit the disabled. We had a room close to reception so could get anything we needed (ie iron/ironing board) when we needed it. Only one problem, toileting. No paper of any sort was to be flushed down the toilet so, if you used it, you had to wrap it up in more paper and put it in the rubbish!!! But there was a bidet/cloths instead, so not really a problem, just something we weren’t use to and had to get our heads round!!!

Didn’t have time to see anything we didn’t like!!

For a very small hotel, there were quite varieties of dishes to choose from. All were well prepared and beautifully presented.

Front of the hotel could be better marked and lit. Upon arrival at the address, I at first thought the taxi had brought me to the wrong address as the front door is almost invisible inside a large empty hall. The name was painted on a frosted glass door. You have to press the buzzer to let the staffer know you are there. But once you are let in, everything works well. Very efficient and helpful staff.
