Hotel Alexis provided the most generous breakfast we've ever had in a European hotel. Our room was $113 USD/night and included a breakfast of salumi/cheese/tomato plate, bread choices, coffee (including cappucinos), other beverages, juice and pastry choices (including croissants and danishes). There were also cold cereal choices. Aline, the server in the breakfast room, was always smiling, cheerful and friendly. We used a subway/bus pass to get around to sights and Hotel Alexis was a very short walk to the Roma Termini. Even though there were several restaurants on the block, everything quieted down by 10 pm. An added bonus was that the restaurants hired strolling musicians who played in the early evening. It added to the ambiance when we were in our room and had the windows opened. The room was spacious and had ample storage.

Our shower drain was slow and it wasn't fixed during our 7 night stay even though we mentioned it to the maid.

I liked that the hotel was very close to the Termini station and that made it easier for us to move around the city. There were small restaurants, cafes and stores in the neighbourhood. The staff was very friendly and polite. There was hot water all the time and the room was warm.

They managed to enter our room without knocking or asking if they could enter three times. Twice by unlocking the door themselves and once because we have left the key in the keyhole on the outside.

The beginning was not great, because the lady at the reception desk was quite bored and not very nice. But she was an exception, the staff was great and helpful the following days. I must mention the lady, who served the breakfast, she is just lovely, smiling all the time, sometimes singing quietly. The breakfast with her was just a great start to a day. Breakfast itself is tasty, and there is enough food to be full, there is an egg, yogurt to choose, ham, cheese, and something sweet, for me great. The hotel and rooms are not modern, they are a little old-modish but very clean and cozy. In the bathroom all cosmetics that are needed, are added every day. It is near to Termini, different buses, and metro. Walk to Colloseum takes you about 15-10 minutes.

The room for four people could be bigger. But I knew it would be like that. Everything was very good.

The location is very central, 5 minutes walking from Roma termini. The room was very clean and spacious. It was very warm as well. Alina, the breakfast lady was soooooo great & happy. She makes your day start so good!

The breakfast was very poor. No fruits , no vegetables. 1 slice of cheece, 1 salami & 1 slice of ham. Bread , croissant juice , coffee, youghurt, butter, jam & honey. it is not a buffet and to serve breakfast to all the tables was taking time.

Oh we just loved everything about this hotel. Loved the style, decorations, furnishings , the terrace . Great location, close to the train station, subway, great restaurants close by. Breakfast was brilliant , lovely staff , specially the breakfast girl who sings and smiles all the times , loved her! Hospitality needs more people like her! She is a sweetheart!!!! Rooms where clean, beautifully decorated, comfortable beds . I would highly recommend !🥰🥰🥰🥰

Room Amenities: The presence of air conditioning and soundproof windows in the room made for a comfortable and peaceful stay. The antique furniture, beautifully restored and fully functional, added a charming touch. Outdoor Space: The small garden with tables was a lovely addition, providing a pleasant outdoor space to relax in. Hot Water: The availability of hot water in the bathroom was much appreciated, ensuring a refreshing shower experience. Breakfast: The continental breakfast was delightful, featuring a selection of buns, cheese, salami or prosciutto, along with delicious Italian Cornetto and cappuccino. The breakfast staff were friendly and accommodating. Location: The hotel's location was a major plus, with numerous grocery stores, restaurants, bus stops, and metro station just a short walk away. Most importantly, all major sightseeing attractions were easily accessible within a 20-minute walk. 24/7 Guest Access: The hotel's provision of a separate entrance accessible 24/7 for guests was convenient for coming and going as needed. Decor: The public spaces in the hotel were tastefully decorated in an Italian old-fashioned style, giving the entire establishment a clean and fresh appearance.

Reception Hours: The reception didn't open until 8 am, which might be inconvenient for those wanting to check in before that time. No Kettle: There was no kettle in the room, which could be a drawback for those who prefer in-room hot beverages.

The room was a good size for a single. The shower was effective. They provided a hair dryer. The air conditioning was very effective. The breakfasts were enjoyable and were enough to eat for me. The hotel is across the street from an excellent restaurant La Famiglia. The staff were friendly and helpful.

The towel rail in the bathroom was heated for much of the day. This added to the heat of the room. Maybe they turn it off in the summer. The toilet pan was not properly fixed to the floor.

Lovely continental breakfast (table service). Staff were all kind and polite, spoke English, and were more than patient with our basic Italian! Great location less than 10 minutes walk from Termini station and lovely restaurants, cheaper than average in Rome. Nice outdoor courtyard for smoking etc.

Shower cubicle was a little small and water not always hot in the morning/afternoons.

The breakfast was awsome. Even on 5stars hotel that service and food. Donuts and Nutella croissants for breakfast? Cappuccinos too?? High speed Internet. 300mbps speed line. Friendly and welcoming staff. I am pregnant and they changed my room to be on the 1st floor to make it easier for me. Also the staff knew what was needed to be served.

Everything was perfect for the price and location.

Mainly the cleanliness, the proximity to Termini, the staff were very attentive and let us store our luggage until it was time for our flight.

Unfortunately, I stayed in room 120, which is close to some machines in a restaurant outside, which work all night, the noise inside the room is immense and doesn't allow us to rest 100%, they could add more insulation and blackouts. I asked for a double bed and was given two separate beds
