Central to Florence for a first stop getaway when exploring the Tuscan Way. A working Agriturismo with small separate accommodation room. Great location overlooking the the valley to the hill top town of Certaldo Alto & only a 10 min drive from the town for self contained supplies. The fabulous owner will great you and we were offered a complimentary glass of wine. They offer wine tasting experiences and a farm tour with zero pressure to participate. The included continental breakfast is substantial !! A large selection of pastries, cold meats, juice for such a small BnB, we were very impressed. Room was very clean, warm, large bathroom, fridge, tea/coffee making facilities.

The property is located at a beautiful location overlooking the rolling hills of Firenze on one side and Sienna on the other side. It is about a 20 minute drive from San Gimignano. There are only 4 rooms which gives a very personalized feeling while staying at this property. The hosts Antonella and Eleonora went above and beyond with their hospitality. The session on learning about wine making and tasting was the highlight of our stay since we have never learnt about wines and olives in so much depth before. The rooms were perfectly located where one could get privacy as well as enjoy the views of the rolling hills and the town nearby. This is truly a family run winery cum homestay where one can get to experience real Tuscan lifestyle.

Capanna 1626 is the ultimate Tuscan experience. Located midway between San Gimignano and Certaldo, it is set in a winery. It is spotlessly clean and offers amazing views. Breakfast is a wonderful time to gather and chat with our beautiful host Antonella who put on the most amazing Tuscan style breakfast of fruit, yogurts, pastries, breads, meats and coffee. Such a great place to visit where you can relax or as a hub for your Tuscan exploration. And don’t miss the winery and tasting tour with the lovely Eleanora. So interesting and educational especially if you enjoy Chianti!

Everything here is great

Antonella and her staff couldn't do enough for me. Very warm people, and certainly know how to welcome and look after travellers. Had 3 glasses of wine within an hour of arrival as others were doing a tasting. Was also offered bottles to take to the room. Breakfast was an enormous selection of options. She even did my laundry (not officially part of the service), as I'm travelling for 6 weeks around EU You do need a car to get to this lovely winery/ B&B. Highly recommended.

A lovely room with a spacious bathroom and all the amenities needed. The bed was very comfortable, and we enjoyed a relaxing night’s sleep, waking up to the chirping of birds. There was a seating area outside the room that was lovely to sit at and enjoy the uninterrupted views of the valley below. The host, Antonella, is amazing, super friendly, and helpful. The breakfast was truly fantastic, offering a large variety of tasty, locally sourced options. There is parking on the property. Would definitely return.

I had an incredible stay at Capanna 1826. It’s a wonderful place to unwind and recharge. The staff is very kind and made me feel right at home. I would like to give a special thank you to Antonella, who was truly helpful and caring during my visit. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a nice, relaxing getaway amid beautiful vineyards and olive trees.

I loved everything

A very tranquil B & B with panoramic views of the San Gimignano countryside. Antonella was the perfect host who made sure we had a wonderful stay and even went out of her way to ensure my sister had gluten free bread and sweets as part of the very generous breakfast provided. We also received a complimentary glass of vernaccia wine , which they produce at the winery , adjacent to the B & B. Elenora went through the various wines the family produces and we also got 10% off the wine as we were staying at the winery. It was very difficult to decide which wines to buy as they are great quality and very reasonably priced , but our luggage is already heavy and we’re moving around a lot.

It was a beautiful location with spacious, comfortable and spotless rooms. Our host, Antonella, was absolutely delightful and so welcoming and helpful. The wine tour and tasting with Lenora was extra special. And the breakfasts were delicious and plentiful. We stayed 3 nights at Capanna 1826 and we wish we had stayed longer!

Excellent place with and excellent host owner. Absolutely the best warm and nice welcome as you can receive. Location was directly in wine yards with a view over to Certalgo historic city. Room was very spacy and clean, incl. small fridge. Best part was the breakfast where you sit by one table with other hosts and you can enjoy it together & meet new people. Also the breakfast freshly served so everything you get is just from the owen or freshly cut. Amazing. We did a quick wine tour in their wine yards in the morning with a sample tasting - it has its own feeling and emotion - do not miss it. Hope more places / accommodation could have such an approax.

It was truly a lovely experience staying at Capanna 1826. Antonella is an amazing person and so kind! The room was beautiful and we were welcomed with a glass of wine. Beautiful views and delicious breakfast. A true Tuscan experience! We highly recommend this place. We unfortunately didn’t have time to do a wine tasting but I think this will also be great. Thank you Antonella for your kindness!
