Superb room with amazing view of the sea. Helpful and attentive staff and a fantastic breakfast served on the terrace. The location is perfect as you are right in the middle of the main street within a few steps of dozens of restaurants, bars and bistros. The atmosphere in the hotel and around the pool is serene and elegant and the decor is fresh and modern. Overall a wonderful experience.

Cocktails are very expensive!

The location is incredibly convenient to explore Taormina and the views are spectactular. We really enjoyed the pool area and our room (number 27) was really big and spacious. We know this isn't the case for some other city facing rooms.

Being in the centre of Taormina meant the street noise was excessive in the evenings for those rooms facing the town. We also found the prices in the hotel to be extortionate, like others have said. My pregnant wife was served a lemon and orange drink by the pool (no menu available) and was charged €25 - the same price as others who were drinking cocktails. Lunch menu was also expensive. It was a shame as it meant that we (and lots of other residents we spoke to) spent our time having meals and drinks outside of the hotel.

The location was right in the center of the town which made the hotel downsides worth it. The view that the hotel overlooked was also amazing. The staff was also very nice when we would drop off our shopping bags and have them delivered to our rooms while we continued our walk in the town. There is also a shuttle service for the beach that the hotel has an agreement with that made going to the beach easy and not stressful.

The hotel breakfast was a true letdown. There was never enough food and they would not put out more. There were also only two staff helping during the breakfast and it would be for the service of 15 people which made them struggle a bit. One of the rooms that were given was also lacking. The shower was outside the bathroom and the room did not have lights, when we asked to switch the room the lady became bitter and kept questioning the request and when we replied they did provide us with a new room but the lady stayed bitter towards us for the request.

Location and view were excellent.

Our bedroom was on the lower floor of our room. We had to go upstairs to use the bathroom or exit the room.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at your hotel and I must say it was an exceptional experience. The staff was incredibly professional and kind, promptly responding to my requests and even upgrading my room for free due to availability. Their attentiveness to the hotel's upkeep was evident and much appreciated. The location is perfect, offering outstanding views that truly enhance the stay. Additionally, the breakfast was amazing, with an impressive freshness that made each morning delightful. Thank you for making my stay memorable. I look forward to visiting again!

Metropole hotel has an excellent location with exceptional view and service.

The location was ideal. Walk out of the hotel and straight into the main street of Taormina. We loved their staff very friendly as well as the pool which was very scenic. Breakfast was impeccable. Also we tried the food and we really was pleasantly surprised - excellent food. Bed was comfortable A Wonderful Terrace too.....

The rooms did not have as much amenities as a Boutique Hotel should. Should have provided water in the room daily. The safety deposit box should not be loose (should be bolted to the wall). The Fridge in the clothing cupboard generated a lot of heat and was below the Safety (could cause damage to clothes or sensitive material)

The location was stunning- the ocean view from our room, terrace bar, and breakfast was just gorgeous. The location in the heart of town was very convenient, yet still quiet and felt secluded. The breakfast had so many choices including special orders- delicious and fresh. The staff were so helpful, cheerful and friendly. We truly enjoyed our stay here more than any hotel.

Probably the best-located Hotel in the centre of Taormina. The staff are remarkable in their care and enjoyment of their profession. We were treated as individuals and honoured guests and the attention to our requests was without fault. A remarkable ethos was present throughout our stay. If you wish to be taken care of rather than just stay in a Hotel this is as good as it gets. We are impressed!

The smallest of suggestions. Perhaps a section on the website to show you where and how to find the place to park your hire car on the Vila Roma.

The location of the hotel was superb for all that Taormina has to offer but unfortunately if you wanted to get down to the beach or the rail-station, the cable car was not working and apparently it will be unavailable all summer for essential maintenance work…. It should be noted that the shuttle bus service that was supposed to replace the cable car was almost non-existent! However, we couldn’t fault the hotel and the breakfasts were superb.

It was frustrating waiting around all the time for local transport - but when the bus did ‘turn-up’ it was very reasonable. Train travel was excellent - but again, getting to the rail station was a struggle; taxis were available but were at least 20 euros for a single trip as opposed to €1.20 on the bus.
