The cool and eclectic interpretation of Venice - beautiful interiors, lovely spacious room with comfortable bed, amazing bar with great service and very creative cocktails, good breakfast and lovely front house - especially Marco. Location is great if you want to be away from tourist hot spots and enjoy a more quieter and cooler Venice close to great galleries - bearing in mind we have visited in quiet December and everything was misty, we still enjoyed the location. I am sure in summer it would be stunning.

- i would say the restaurant staff was the opposite of welcoming and service was poor - slow and no smiles ( total opposite of front house and bar) - not sure bathtub is necessary in big rooms - shower would be much more comfortable

The hotel is perfectly located, away from the tourist crowds, but it's only 15 minutes from St Mark's Square. You can easily reach the hotel by water bus or water taxi. If you prefer to walk, it takes 20-30 minutes from the train station. There is a lovely garden in the courtyard of the hotel, which fortunately was overlooked from the bedroom of our room. The room was large, very clean and stylish. Also my compliments for the bathroom, really clean, comfortable and great cosmetics were provided.

The hotel staff never locked the door with a key after cleaning up. For me, entrance hall and dressing room is quiet dark, one reason is because you have to keep the curtains closed because the windows from the hallway face directly into the windows of the neighboring house, which is an arm's length away. Strangely, toothbrushes and toothpaste were not provided, only mouthwash. When I booked the room I indicated that we were coming to celebrate our anniversary, but the staff did not respond in any way to this point. I think for that price, hotel can easily provide transfer.

Exceptional staff, especially Maddalena who booked our dinners and was the epitome of hospitality. Big, comfortable rooms and bathrooms, sparkling clean, fantastic bartender, lovely views.

My AC did not work well during a heat wave, so I had some uncomfortable nights. They were not able to fix it, and they also ran out of fans. They comped a night for the inconvenience, which I appreciated, but they need to get more fans/portable AC given how hot it gets in August. Check the weather before booking.

Elegant design makes this place stand out in pictures — and even more so in real life. What is great is that this is not its only upside. Rooms are comfortable and well-equipped; many of them face the inner court, which is a paradise of tranquility. The service is good, and the concierge is truly knowledgeable and well-connected to get you what Google can't.

The only area of improvement I can think of is the breakfast — the service is great, but the menu selection isn't.

This is a stunning converted Palazzo of the beaten track near two water-bus lines (Zattere & St Baliso) to transport to main sights Venice has to offer. The staff are extremely friendly and accommodating & the restaurant is top notch for creative Italian food taken in garden, . oh and the bed is extremely comfortable , good aircon was needed in the recent warm spell (29’) to get a good nights sleep. The cocktail bar is a must where the Experimental bit comes in with professionally made cocktails sitting on a small patio watching all the traffic on the canal wondering how they keep it all going with no obvious lanes ! .

INCREDIBLE hotel- absolutely gorgeous. Beautiful interior design, beautiful architecture. One of our favourite hotel stays to date! Great attention to detail- which didn’t go unnoticed, much appreciated, and added to the uniqueness of this hotel. We arranged for the hotel to pick us up for private transfer from the Venice airport to the hotel- for 130 Euro it was money well spent. First we were driven in a spacious private van then dropped off at the dock for transfer in the hotels private boat, which is absolutely gorgeous. The boat dropped us off directly in front of the hotel at the hotels private dock. This method is nearly half the time from the Venice airport to the hotel as compared to arriving on your own. Our room was stunning, with stunning views of the canal. The a la carte breakfast was 10/10; it included coffee of your choice, fresh juices etc. They were very good with my young daughter and went out of their way to ensure she had something to eat that was egg free given she has a severe egg allergy. The location is great. This is the only hotel I will recommend in Venice and can’t wait to go back!

Perfect location, super clean, staff is very helpful. Loved everything about the hotel. You can get to San Marco in just 10-15 minutes, it’s a walking distance. While on the way you’ll find loads of nice local leather gloves shops, nice restaurants and gelateria. 3-5 minutes walking distance to Academia where you can get a water taxi or ferry to get anywhere you need.

It was a pleasure to spend two nights in Il Palazzo Experimental, everything, from the visual aesthetic of each space, to the smiling and helpful staff, to my exceptionally comfortable bed added joy to my stay in Venice! I did put thought into what part of this beautiful city I wanted to base myself, and Il Palazzo Experimental is perfectly located in my opinion... just a few Vaporetto stops or a straightforward 20min walk from train & bus stations, and a 5 min or so stroll to the Accademia bridge (and then on to the central San Marco area by foot, or via the Vaporetto stop there) and yet also sitting on the broad and relatively quiet quay of the Giudecca canal, looking across at pretty Giudecca and perfectly located to appreciate the beautiful sunsets, ideally sitting outside the hotel drink or gelato in hand, watching locals and visitors enjoying a passeggiata. If/when I am lucky enough to visit Venice again, I will certainly book Il Palazzo Experimental again, and I confidently recommend it.

Good 4* hotel, with excelent location. Convenient transport with vaporetto both to San Marco, Academia and Piazalle Roma and Troncheto. Rooms, clean, bed comfortable. Room was with a view to courtyard, so it was no outside noise.

The design, style, location and charm of the hotel were all incredible. Beautiful garden in the back. Direct access by water tax. Wouldn't hesitate to go back!

The shower door did not fully close, so water got all over the floor in the bathroom.
