Location is fantastic! Centralised in Motohakone, allowing for great walking access to the shrines/restaurants/conbinis/nature walks/Ferries/etc. The view from our room overlooking Lake Ashi, is definitely worthy of staying here The nearby bus stops also allow for full access to the Hakone, granting the ability to enjoy every part of this beautiful area.

The stairs leading to the Accommodation are pretty narrow and steep which makes taking your luggage to the room a little troublesome. We also got permission to check in an hour early via communicating on booking.com, however the cleaners were still working when we went to our room, they did however allow us to leave our bags in our room. The washing and drying machine kind of sucked but still got the job done. There was a bit of a smell coming from the toilet but it was pretty manageable. Overall, these problems did not outweigh the good parts of our stay.

The location of this place is great, so close the lake! You get an entire mini apartment, with small kitchen, 2 double bed bunk beds and a pull down projector screen. Clean, amenetities provided. Would stay again.

Since we went in February it was quite cold in side but the heaters worked well. But there is nothing to complain about this place, would stay again. Do note that you cannot drop off your luggage early and go out for the day, same when you check out. You cannot leave your luggage for the day. Also no windows if you get the downstairsapartment, just so you're aware. I think the pictures show the upstairs apartment. Pull down projector, only really works if your phone allows mirroring and you can projector Netflix. You can't watch Netflix or channels straight from the projector itself and I think it needed to be configured as slightly blurry at the top. But a great add on feature.

Cozy enough. Just along the road, large signage enabled us to find it in the night. Straightforward way to find keys independently. 7min walk away from the nearest Lawson, which was great cos everything else was closed by 8 (since it’s a tourist spot) . Kitchen (equipped with cutlery, hot plate, water flask) n beds were clean . Liked that the toilet n shower were separate. Nice and clean too.

Sofa beds were dusty, and there were some “left behinds” in the grooves below n on between the joints… hence we didn’t open it up but just slept on the narrow sofa section. Cushions n the throw were also dusty.

very convenient. well stocked.

the second floor apartment does not have adequate window/door coverings. the light from the hallway shines in the door so brightly it is hard to sleep. we finally stacked pillows on top of a drying rack to try to minimize the light so we could sleep. the first floor apartment has a horrible odor. it was comfortable, but the smell was frustrating.

Great location right next to Lake Ashi, Motohakone boat and bus stops. Apartment was clean with kitchen and lounge area. Perfect for families with room to spread out.

Bed was a little uncomfortable and rooms only accessible by stairs. There was limited dinner options at night as all restaurants were closed, but thankfully there was two convenient stores nearby.

This is the first time I came across an accommodation with a projector and screen. It facilitated our discussion on the next day's itinerary as we were on free and easy holiday. Everyone can focus on the screen instead of straining our eyes on each other's phone.

Still on the projector, it would be better if the instructions could be in English so that we can figure out on the setting. We attempted google translate on the screen but it didn't work out well. Later we managed to establish the connection from our phone through trial and error. We were happy to see the coffee machine in the apartment. Like the projector, the operating instructions was also in Japanese. Please make the English version available. Non-Japanese guests will be happy as they can enjoy their coffee.

Excellent location right on the main street of Motohakone, 3-4 minute walk to catch Sightseeing Cruise and very close to Lawson's and 7/11. Rooms was style really well

It is an older building, and the owner has styled it like an "industrial style" and done really well and it's obvious a lot of work has gone into the building, the place looks good, but the older toilet and bathrooms just need a little bit more work to bring up the standard of the apartment

really close to hakone port (including the bus station), and very close to a lawson's convenience store and la terazza restaurant. the beds were comfy, including the sofa bed. it was a cold day when we were there and the heater was quite nice. the shower and toilets are clean.

there is no bidet on the toilet, just in case you want to use one. the steps leading up to the room are quite small. the exhaust fan in the toilet was also a little dusty.

Good communication with host, easy self check-in/out. I LOVE the location- close to transportation, within walking distance to sightseeing spots, eateries and convenience stores. Very cute place, enough space for our family and provided everything we needed except for washer/dryer. The adorable park up the stairwell was an unexpected bonus, my toddler especially loved it!

Bathroom smelled like sulfur but it may be typical for the area, being near Ōwakudani.

Great location within the Hakone leisure circuit, well served by buses. Room was really good value and swallowed a family of six thanks to good design. Style “garage den turned AirBnB” may not suit some but we loved it. Good standard of interior fixtures and fittings blended with industrial feel.

Something to be aware of, because of the style of the property there is not much natural light, so when it is described as a city view it would be more accurate to say no view at all. Also, everything in the area seems to be geared around the tourist circuit so as soon as the boats stop running around 5pm everything closes down, so you need to be prepared for an evening in when it’s raining.
