The hotel is well located in Kanazawa's lively Katamachi district. Lot of great restaurant and izakaya options nearby. Our room was cozy, clean and quiet. The staff was very helpful in arranging luggage transport to our next accommodation.

The only problem we encountered had to do with the hotel's spa facilities. The fact that their onsen (Japanese bath) was completely traditional in its no tattoo policy was not mentioned at all on their website, nor was it hinted at during check-in (granted, we did not explicitly ask about it either). We were really looking forward to relaxing after a long day of travel, so not being allowed in was quite a disappointment. While I fully respect local customs for public baths, I don't necessarily understand this policy for an onsen that is exclusively for hotel guests (which I would assume to be mostly foreign tourists based on the guests we saw).

Nice, large, rooms. Beds are wide and nice. Parking possible (fee). Great price / quality ratio.

Most of the rooms do not have curtains, but only a, almost see through, pull down curtain. Rooms are completely lit when the sun is up. Only one or two rooms at each floor are rooms that can be dark; we got such a room thanks to a member of the staff, and had a good night sleep in that room after all. Hotel has only about 10 parkingspots. If they are occupied, you can park, for the same price, in Oval car park. Exit-tickets are sold at hotel desk. Breakfast is early (9.00) even in weekend. Choices are very limited and quality is not so good. Scrambled eggs looked completely raw.

Amazing value for your money. Great facilities - great room, bed, bathroom, view and onsen. Great location as well, close to a lot of great areas with lots of restaurants around.

I hate to point out anything negative regarding this place, but to provide some constructive feedback: I think some surfaces in our room could have used a few more wipes before our arrival as there were a few greasy stains (table stand and some wooden panel on the wall). Our comforter sheet also had a large stain on it, which seems they attempted to remove, but for such a great quality hotel I think they should have replaced it or washed a few more times so it wasn't so visible. These are minor things for us and did not in any way impact our stay.

Lovely room with comfortable bed and nice little details, like the beautiful porcelain tea set, large shower with good water pressure, and good air conditioning. Lovely and spotless onsen, onsite coin laundry, common space for getting a drink or just relaxing. Very fast internet. Very convenient location with lots of restaurants and convenience stores, near main road and bus stops.

It's a really small point, but some staff didn't speak English that well. They were very friendly and tried really hard to be helpful, but sometimes it was hard to communicate.

The hotel is really clean and the rooms are well equipped. The location is great, with plenty of Izakaya nearby and close to the Samurai neighbourhood and a major commercial area. The staff were excellent. One staff member went out of their way to help us book a restaurant for dinner (we had trouble getting in anywhere the previous night).

The room was very small, really just for sleeping. The lounge could have been equipped with glassware and basic utensils for enjoying a drink or food given it was the only place to relax (the rooms are too small). Some staff didn't really know how to help tourists - I asked for things to do and see and they just pointed at the castle and Kenrouken Garden.

The onsen facilities were fantastic. The lobby area was very comfortable with complimentary coffee and cold drinks. The gym was basic, but had a massage pod/chair! Staff were really helpful. The big windows were great for watching the world. The loan umbrellas saved us multiple times.

Laundry was not very straight forward so we ended up using a coin laundry. Pillows were uncomfortable for 3 out of 4 members of our family. Rooms need better blinds to block out the morning Sun. More storage is needed, or at least several hooks to hang up jackets, towels, backpacks etc etc etc.

This was the best hotel we stayed at in Japan. Location was exceptional. We did catch a taxi to Kanazawa Station but once we were at the hotel, it was a walk to the Castle and we were directly opposite the most wonderful food district. You can go to the tea districts during the day but the backstreets off Chuo Dori in Kiguramachi has the best Izakaya's and tiny bars. It's not set up for tourists but they were so welcoming. If you are looking for great food with English speaking staff, hit up Ikuo and Reiko at Dylan Pub! The hotel room was large and immaculate with great facilities. They provided everything from Pajamas to toothbrushes. The TV even has netflix which was an added bonus! Staff were very helpful and provided free (non alcoholic) drinks in the lobby after 4pm! We didn't get a chance to use the onsite public bath because we were too busy out seeing everything Kanazawa has to offer but it was a great hotel to come back to and relax after a long day sightseeing. In comparison to the rest of our trip, this hotel was great value for money and we will definitely be back!

We loved everything!

Comfortable room and was outstanding value. Location was helpful for the Kenrokuen gardens, multiple museums and a huge number of restaurants. Onsen available throughout the day was very relaxing and a great bonus. Staff were friendly and there was free tea and coffee in the lobby. Vending machine and laundry within the hotel.

Not as convenient to access from the station, Higashi Chaya and Omicho markets as it looks on the map as the Left Loop Bus (counter-clockwise around the city centre) only runs on weekends and the other local buses are less frequent and can be a little confusing with numbering.

Great location - less than 10 minutes to the castle gardens and Nagamachi district. Convenience store located next door. Entire hotel was clean and well decorated. Rooms were comfortable and clean, TV was large, shower one of the best hotel showers I’ve ever seen. There is a bath located downstairs which I encourage anyone to use. All around this was extremely good value for money, especially considering the luxury feel of the hotel and recently renovated facilities.

The on site restaurant seemed to be shut, there was also some stains on the carpet in my room.
