We took 4 hotels in this trip, 2 in Kyoto and 2 in Kobe. This twin room is the largest room in our trip this time. Just take few mins walk from JR station. The staffs are very helpful.

It was raining when we arrived. There was no cover area in the walk from JR to the hotel. A bit embarrassing as we picked the luggage along. The elevators were slow. It took times during the peak hours. The reception was at 2nd floor and the area was small. Many ppl were queuing up in the lounge next to the reception, for breakfast in the morning. Have to go through the crowd with my luggage for check out in the morning.

The location was extremely convenient for us. I came with friends/boyfriend, and it was a comfortable distance away from Sannomiya Station. Lots of stores and food options nearby. There is a conveyor belt sushi restaurant right next door. How convenient! Overall, very good hotel for the price. If I ever return to Sannomiya, I will be sure to book again.

The only complaint (which isn’t necessarily a big deal) would be that we asked for an ice pillow multiple times one evening (tooth ache troubles :-() but they were only able to provide us with one single one. Other than that, very accommodating.

Value for money. The hotel is nice, spacious rooms, very friendly and assisting staffs, clean, easy walkable access to malls and train stations. The staffs was very helpful. My sister left her phone at the lobby couch only to realize it after we checked into another place in Osaka. She called the reception and her phone is still there after more than 2 hours! Good honest people these Japanese. The receptionist kept her phone until we got there to get it back. Thank you thank you thank you.

Room was nice and spacey. Although the staff did not speak English, they did have a translator device so we were able to communicate. Best thing of all, they have a free Cafe space which allows you to have free coffee and tea. Hotel was also very close to the subway station and convenience store. The subway station is connected to a lot of restaurants and department stores.

Nothing I can think of! This hotel eceeded my expectations.

Our twin room was very spacious with a small dining table and 2 chairs. The room was clean and very well appointed. It was very secure, requiring a card to use the lift. It was very quiet, which was wonderful. It was about 150m from Sannomiya station as well as to access to all the buses in the area. Shops were almost next door. The breakfast was lavish and we really enjoyed the comfort library to have a cuppa or enjoy the relaxed surrounds. Towels can be refreshed daily if you require them. We were able to leave our suitcases in the lobby using a lock you set yourself.

There was very little English spoken by the staff on the day we checked in, and English signage compared to other cities appeared limited, but most of the facilities were self-explanatory.

It’s located in the center of everything. The hotel even offers humidifier for dry winter, though the humidifier is not that powerful.

The surface of the “night stand”- the holder under reading light was sticky - it didn’t bother me much since I fixed it by covering it with a piece of tissue. There is free coffee/tea in the library. However, it is not available before 10 am for people not buying breakfast there. That means, I had to make my own coffee in my room if I want a coffee early in the morning.

Room was big and had enough space to open multiple luggages fully. Even enough space to workout. Breakfast is simple and had a better variety than I initially thought. Cleanliness, Staff, Amenities all great and sufficient. Conveyor sushi next door, a path to Sannomiya JR station has multiple chain restaurants and convenience stores so location is great.

Room wifi can be a bit patchy. Automated Check in machine can be a bit slow. Only two elevators in the building that are constantly in use but that's to be expected for a busy hotel in Kobe. Laundromat has only 3 machines so if you wanna do coin laundry pray that they aren't all in use! But these were just small negatives and the hotel is doing a great job

Comfortable bed, good size bathroom, clear view toward the nearby mountain (our room was on the top floor, it helps) and when opening the window, the noise level from outside was very reasonable, despite being plain centre of Kobe. Arriving late by plane to Kobe (10 PM) we appreciated a lot the proximity with Sannomiya train station, 5 minutes walk. Breakfast buffet very complete, lot of choices, and we liked the fact that later in the day the breakfast place remained opened, with free drinks, to chill down, read a book (it would be nice to have a manga corner with some English ones by the way :)), etc

Ony one small thing: check-in and check-out through machines is not our thing - especially when the staff is also there and helpfull, as always in Japan

Clean, modern, friendly staff, and close to train/bus station (less than 5 min walk). Paid Laundry facilities (3 combo washer/dryer units were busy but we got our stuff in eventually.

On check-in they throw the offer out for hotel provided breakfast…… for 2 adults and a child for two days was $50. 3 minute walk down street to Lawsons and you can get a breakfast for much less.

Excellent location, close to the train station and within walking distance from all the sights we wanted to see (Chinatown, the Port Tower, and the Cable Car up to Nunobiki Falls). Also reasonably priced, given the size, location, and fact that this is NOT a Japanese hotel chain.

Being so close to a pachinko and all, the type of people you run into on the streets are rather rude and one-track-minded...
