The location is excellent, the owner/manager was really nice as they picked us up and dropped us back off at the train station. We stayed in the one-bedroom apartment and it was fine for 4 people. The layout and facilities more than met our needs (rice cooker, microwave, cooking oil, pans, utensils, etc.).

Having traveled extensively in Japan, this location was unexpectedly not as clean as other places I've stayed. Remnant ramen noodles in the drain in the sink, some hairs/dust on top of the toilet and in the corners of the bathroom, curtains missing some hooks, shoe area already streaked with dirt. In the grand scheme of things, relatively minor, just a little surprising. It wouldn't stop me from staying again; I just think it could be an area of improvement. I also advise them to put hangers in front cupboard so people can put their wet jackets or perhaps a shoe rack so the shoes can be put up and dried.

great location. near the ski lifts and other rental shops. it has a private entrance as well and it feels really homely! hot water is available and many cooking utensils are also available for use.

the walls are really thin and walking up and down the stairs makes a lot of noises. even walking on the second storey creates so much noise that it affects those who are sleeping below. the hot water for bathing is available for use but not consistent. sometimes while bathing, the water can become cold and i have to wait for a minute or so for the hot water to be replenished again.

It was conveniently located to Tokyu Hotel where we caught all our shuttles to the ski resorts, and also only a few minutes walk to F&B and gear rentals. The space we had was also great for our family of 4, allowing us to dine around a table and play games each night. Having a washing machine, cooking facilities and a strong heater was super handy.

Reception wasn’t always manned which meant needing to use the services of the nearby Tokyu Hotel when reserving a cab outside the hours it was manned. Staff also didn’t have the same knowledge so we had to wait for some of them to come on shift to give us a hand. Daughter also found her bed dipping in the middle.

Cozy lodge with snow at doorstep. The hotel concierge can arrange for drop off or pick up around the area as stores are 15 minutes away. Good 2 door entrance system meant keeping the cold air and wet gear away from the inside of the lodge. Easy for cars to drop us right infront of our door. It was easy for Rhthym rental to collect our gear afterwards. All we had to do was put it on the large door step. The rental shop is only a 3 minute walk away and they can send you to the ski resort for free too. Heating was great for early december weather, especially in the kitchen the heater is really strong. The bedroom has ac for heaters which is ok in early december, not sure if it gets colder. The rental shop is only a 3 minute walk away and they can send you to the ski resort for free too.

A bit musty. The inside of the cupboards need more cleaning and the fan had a lot of dust on top. Kitchen utensils such as pots and pans could use an update. Bathroom rather old. No heater in bedroom but ac type heater. There are no convenience stores nearby. But the hotel can get a van to send you and pick you up most of the time.

The host Anna was fabulous, very polite and helpful. She provided all the information we needed and helpful tips to make our stay even better, helped out with restaurant, taxi booking etc and even drove us to the supermarket in her private car when the property shuttle was busy. The lodge we stayed at was clean and comfortable enough although the beds were rather on the hard side for a Westerner. The kitchen equipment was basic but I was still able to cook a dinner for 4 when staying in, we also catered our own breakfasts. There was a bit of noise from other guests who came back home late, also I would have preferred black out curtains n the bedroom. Overall the property is a good value for money and we would like to come back again. We would likely look into booking one of the cabins for added privavy and comfort. We thoroughy enjoyed our snowboarding trip!

Noise from other guests. Beds rather hard.

Our 2nd time here with a family of 4 (2 toddlers). Large rooms and living room with alot of space for kids to wander. Kitchen was also very useful esp since there's not much lunch options around the area. Our kids loved playing in the soft snow just outside the building. Relatively near to beginner slopes and shuttle bus pick up points.

Bed wasn't the most comfortable and no blinds to block out the sun in the bedroom (means we were all up with the sunrise).

What a clean, cozy place - warm and authentic for a lovely winter getaway. Only a few min walk until the ski rental shop and the slopes, close to a few lovely bars and restaurants. The check-in/out was smooth and quick. The stay was very comfortable - good amenities, beautiful view to to the snowy streets and cozy lights in the area. My partner and I loved it, and wish we stayed longer!

Nothing really - it was an amazing stay. Just wish there was maybe coffee/tea/sugar for some morning coffee time. We are used to having it every place we go, so we didn’t take it with us. Not a big deal, more of a suggestion for more comfort.

Spacious apartment for a couple with large bedroom (4 single beds) and separate living/kitchen area. Microwave and stove great for heating up bento / bowls from Lawsons and/or cooking. Convenient location in a pretty woodland area 10 minutes’ walk up the hill from town, and a 5 min walk to the Happo One chairlift and shuttles to other ski areas / central bus terminal. Staff were great, selling us discount ski tickets and arranging a shuttle to the bus terminal for us. No frills but everything we needed and great value!

Beds were very hard.

Privacy, and country style of separate lodge we stayed in. Location is good for reaching various ski lifts by shuttle bus, otherwise a bit remote from most of attractions.

We happened to be in the end of skiing season 2024 (late March), so most of ski lifts, restaurants nearby were closed and we had to walk down to the town centre every evening for dinner or shopping.

The lodge is one of our favorite places in Hakuba. even though the facility is not new it has everything for our needs. Separate bedroom for adults, bunk beds for kids, kitchen with seating area, bathroom, and a very clever made dry room for skiers. The location is perfect for skiers. It is close to the ski rental, Pub, and chair lift ( 7 min walking distance to the chair lifts). as guest of the lodge you get coupons to use the Onsen at the hotel next door, which is a great place for Onsen lovers.

The kitchen needs some updates at some point.
