This is the quieter side of Sakae shopping area, a block from Shirakawa Park and much away from bustling Sakae subway station. Short walk through the Park and across a busy road brings one to Osu shotengai area "thrift" shops. Rooms are renovated and comfortable. Kombini are very near and the food and nightlife of Sakae backstreets, and the big department stores, are only 10 mins walk away.

Try to forward your big bags at the airport to your next destination because there is only escalator access to the second floor hotel lobby. No lift access from ground floor. Also try a taxi from JR Nagoya station if the weather is bad. Pretty low cost if it's a group.

The whole place really presents well, luxuriously appointed rooms and a seriously classy lobby. Comfy beds, which are a rarity in Japan. Cleaning was thorough and complimentary water replenished as well. Staff were more than willing to assist with personal customer service in English and Japanese. Some of the larger chains have 'automated' some of this, making check-in and luggage a slight hassle for the traveler but not Trusty. I cannot fault any of the staff, who served with a smile. Balcony was fun to have, view is of nothing in particular but not against a wall. Bathroom was large enough.

Washing is coin-operated.

Our room was the biggest room type available. We managed to have 3 large suitcases, 2 travel prams and other random bags fit in the room. We also we able to sleep 2x adults and 2x kiddies (2yo and infant) - we had two rooms booked, but our infant wanted to sleep with us too. Glad it all worked out, the bed was bigger than our Queen bed at home(?) as we aren’t really able to comfortably all sleep together like that at home!!! So, big thumbs up for the bed.

Oh my goodness, I didn’t realise there was no elevator going to the reception. Reception is on level 2, so you need to either take the stairs or escalator to get up (and down/ you need to ask staff to change the direction if you want to go down). With our group, it was a hassle with 2 travel prams to go up and down like that everyday.

Bed is comfortable. Room was cleaned daily. Towels were changed everyday. Bed sheets, pillow cases and comforter/duvet were changed daily. They provide Robe that you can wear as pajamas and being changed everyday. Toiletries were provided daily. They provide 2 water bottles daily. There is a sofa inside the room and table. 7/11 and family mart near the hotel.

Hotel lobby is at the 2nd floor of the building you have to use either the stairs or escalator to reach the lobby hotel. Hotel elevator starts at their lobby at the 2nd floor. Rooms were too small even the biggest one they have. Too tight. You can only open 1 luggage. Disposable bedroom slippers were only provided when you ask but they do have a regular slippers in the room that had been sanitzed after each check-out of the guest. Yes, so the other guest before you had used it. Far from the train station 30mins walk.

the room was clean and spacious for a japan room size. the location of the hotel is perfect, because it is within sakae, but also near osu shopping district and nagoya science museum. a number of good restaurants are also within walking distance from the hotel. most restaurants are very near the hotel location. ichiran is also near the hotel, which is my son's favorite. mirai tower and oasis 21 are also within walking distance. we also enjoyed the night walks to and from nagoya station.

maybe the hotel lighting was a little dim for me. but other than that, there was none so far during our stay. the hotel was perfect. it gave the value for my money.

The location is just walking distance to the science museum. Convenient stores are just around the corner. Helpful staff.

I don’t like the part that 1. Hotel lobby starts from 2nd floor with no elevator to reach that floor. You need to take the escalator/stairs only to reach, causing so much inconvenience to carry the luggage and baby stroller. 2. Breakfast comes in breakfast box (the same menu everyday.

Location, Quiet, Room size, Bathroom, Chaise, Staff - Me and my 2 children shared a room with a king size bed. There was a small, narrow, sofa spot. There was a small fridge, kettle, desk, TV, and a single bathroom which was a tub and toilet combo. We also had a closet at the front, and the room was set so you couldn't see in the room from the door. It was a great space for us. Huge for Japan. We all had enough space in the room. We loved the location. Close enough to the subway and bus stops while also being walking distance to plenty of places including the Science museum and a huge playground. The area felt safe and quiet, but was close to night life. Nagoya was awesome, and we really were happy to stay here.

we were exhausted when we arrived to the hotel which is not easy to find with so many exist in Japan's subway system. We asked is possible to allow us checking a bit earlier and we have been told we have to paid $1000 Japanese dollar per hour. We have been travel a lot and many hotel around the world will willing to provide a bit early check in without charge extra. We did paid to check in a bit earlier but we are not satisfied with the services with the staff at the reception.

The staff was very nice, the room was clean and the location was excellent. They gave us adaptors to connect the iPad to the TV for free.

The elevator only goes down to F2 and so you need to go up the escalator from the ground floor. If you want to go down the escalator you need to ask the staff to change the direction. A bit inconvenience with luggage and baby strollers.

Booked the hotel for two separate occasions, one for myself and another with my family. They are very helpful with accommodating our luggage to our room, convenient! The location is a walk from the nearest station, but this hotel is one of the better deals at my time of stay. They also have bigger beds (compared to any other Japanese hotel I went to) with great accommodating facilities like a sitting area and a big office area inside the room. The room itself is also quite huge compared to others, great for families!

The place is quite secluded thus need to walk a bit from the station. Quite a hassle to carry huge suitcases to the hotel, thus recommended to use a luggage transport service (which upon arrival will be delivered to your room - my experience)
