Nikko hotel is situated right by the side of JR Nara Railway station. There is a bus station right below, plus a huge supermarket, a pharmacy and a walking street with many eateries. Very convenient location.

I stayed at the hotel for 10 days and this could be a mistake. The breakfast has many varieties but you get the same food very morning, day 1 excellent, day 2 same, day 3 same ...... day 10 same.

The room is a typical hotel room, with en suite bath and toilet. We get a family room which is a bigger room with 2 extra beds (one real bed and one sofa bed). The shared Onsen is on the 6th floor and our room happens to be on that floor, but guests on other floors must use elevator to come to the Onsen. The hotel is in the middle of Nara, so tons of restaurant within walking distance and they are very good. The Nara park is 1.7km away with shopping district along the route. And if you are joining the Nara Marathon, there are free buses departing from JR station right under the hotel.

Car park is 900yen per night. Should be free for hotel guests.

Conncected to JR and subway, right on the main street area, the hotel building and facilities (inc the public bath) exceeded what our family were expecting. Genuinely courteous staffs at the Reception, the Welcome Lounge, the Breakfast Buffet, and the Room Cleaning Service were all great! Felt truly well taken care of. We thoroughly enjoyed staying at your hotel in Nara. A great memory. Thankful for your hospitality and kind consideration making our stay pleasant.

Perhaps, more concrete direction from Airport Limousine/train stations to the Hotel (3rd floor Reception) on your website?

Extremely convenient location. There are bus stops basically right outside the hotel. I liked that there was a little 2 person table you could eat at together. Also had a microwave and a mini fridge! The front desk staff were very friendly and let us change rooms easily (with extra cost of course) after I accidentally booked a one bed room!

The bathroom area smelled pretty weird. The bathing room smelled kind of mildewy or even moldy. Just very musty in general. Occasionally, the toilet room would smell like pee despite there not being any in the bowl or on the seat, it was like that when I first checked the place out as well. The sink space I don’t remember anything weird about.

Location was superb, next to the train station/bus in Nara which made the hotel very busy. The breakfast buffet however, features wonderful spread of Japanese /western food and all of us enjoyed it very much. The public bahthouse on 6th floor was a good experience though a bit small. Staff were courteous. Great 24 hour pharmarcy and several convenient stores near the hotel.

There is no free parking underground even though we stayed for two nights. Its all paid parking but I think this is normal in Japan? I think the hotel is a bit older so the rooms we were given were quite far from the lift. The pillow was very thin and we had to request extra pillows. Carpeted floors made it very hard to push our heavy luggages.

The hotel is literally a few feet from the Nara station exit and it was easy to find the sign to go to the 3rd floor lobby of the hotel. There is also a big supermarket right next to the hotel and across from the Nara station, and the Tourist Information Center is right next to the supermarket. The Nara Park, Todaiji Temple and the other attractions are within walking distance from the hotel and through a lively shopping street. The bus stops are also right in front of the station. The room was clean, comfortable and the bathroom was spacious. The amenities provided in the room, including a hot water kettle, fridge, and a yukata for using the public bath (if one is interested) were very good. One of the nice things I noticed in the hotel was the self-storage lockers for storing luggage near the reception desk either before or after check-in. The reception staff was also able to provide me with a tourist map. The hotel lobby also had free coffee in the morning, which was nice. If I were to visit Nara again, I would definitely stay in this hotel.

The breakfast was a bit pricey (3,000 yen), especially for a vegetarian like me who cannot eat most of the offerings. So, I opted to eat breakfast outside the hotel. There are a number of cafes and restaurants near the hotel, and so it was not a problem.

Right next to JR Nara station work covered walkway access Breakfast was excellent. Definitely go for the waffle Benedict when available. There always seemed to be an English speaking staff member available. Meg (Megumi) was especially helpful. Housekeeping staff on 9 th floor is excellent. Keep in mind this a a Japanese hotel and the single room I had is really small worked well for me but even though there is a full bed would be cozy for 2 people.

The only criticism is I have an allergy to feathers and the buckwheat pillows ( most hotels in Japan use these) and there was not a synthetic option. A 100 yen store pillow took care of this.

The hotel was beautiful with a very chic lobby and elevators etc. Room was spacious and nice, comfortable beds (except for the third bed of our son which was quite hard). Great warm shower and spacious bathroom area. Breakfast was just fantastic! Personnel was very friendly and helpful. Location great if you arrive by train! Otherwise relatively far from Nara park but easily walkable.

Breakfast was until 09:30 and although people who arrived around 09:30 were accepted, the personnel started cleaning a bit early I think (09:15 or something) which Made us feel a bit hasty. Having said that, they were very patient and helpful with our small children at breakfast.

The room was very clean and, as for the amenities, were fully provided. On the 6th floor it has the Japanese dai-yokujo (huge baths, devided by gender). Best location possible, as, once you arrive at Nara and get off the train, it's on the same level of the train station: you. can drop the luggages and start your sightseeing. It provides different restaurants, such as the Japanese Teppanyaki, where the ingredients were supreme, including the wagyu (tried this food exp).

everything was more than fine, so there's nothing to add.

We found the breakfast buffet offering amazing. They are as advertised in the images, with all those treats and drinks and mains, just in a self service buffet layout. It was within the range of JR Nara station as well as its bus terminals, and that allowed us to go around the town very conveniently. There were convenient stores around as well, and a main street started from where we were. The onsen was great and there were various options to chill after it.

It felt catered to office workers and thus the walls felt cold in some ways even though the people were warm
