Excellent location as it is very close to Shinsekai, and only a few meters away from Dobutsuen-mae and Shin-imamiya stations. It is also a walkable (YMMV) distance to Nipponbashi, and Dotonbori. So, if you like going out at night - exploring food and all kinds of izakaya, location's a plus. Free amenities every day (bathrobes, slippers, toothbrush, shampoo & conditioner and body soap, and towels). If you also like to eat/prepare food at home instead of eating outside as you're on a budget, amenities are also available.

Limited shower room so you might have to wait a while, and you have to go the 1st floor, so it might be awkward getting a lift just to have a shower. The hotel is not dirty but not sparkling clean either - maybe just because of age, so temper your expectations. Also, for my whole trip, this might be my smallest room albeit the cheapest, so when I started buying extra stuff, I have to start managing my space well.

The room was cute and cozy and to myself. There was an onsen that I was allowed to use even though I have tattoos. They gave you free amenities, including wifi, bathrobes, slippers, toothbrush, shampoo & conditioner and body soap, and towels every day. There were hair dryers as well and a microwave in the lobby. And a fridge and monitor in the room.

This hostel was primarily all locals so communication didn't happen much sadly. Even communication with the front desk was difficult as a foreigner, but they did try to help as much as they could.

Room was big enough for the 3 of us (2 adults 1 child [10y/o]) with 2 big luggage + 3 knapsacks (50 litre). 3. I got a private room on the top floor, and it meant I had a wonderful view. Staff were friendly and helpful and showed me where I could leave my luggage before check-in time. The shared kitchen and bathroom facilities were kept clean and tidy. The best thing is the location of the hotel, everything you need is nearby - train station, shops, Tennoji Zoo.

The rooms are very basic and small, I felt quite cramped and I'm only a small person. However, for the price, they were very reasonable

Facilities offered were great. Hot bath (shared), showers, laundry, lounge area and the food and drinks in case you need a small meal or snack. They even offered robes and toiletries as a ‘help yourself’ approach, at the front desk.

Walls are very thin, so if you’re a light sleeper, you may have an issue sleeping but no issue for myself. Plus they have signs everywhere stating for people to be quiet after 23:00. Just wish the hot bath was accessible more often throughout the day

The location is only a few minutes walk from the subway/JR/or Hanshin station. Mega Donki Mall is only two blocks from the hotel, as well as Spa World and Tsutenkaku. This area has lots of good food to try. I love the hot bathtub and the private room on the women's floor (the shared bathroom is fine). The free amenities are so good, no need to bring a toothbrush, facial wash, facial cream, cleansing oil, shampoo, body shower, and slipper. All of these are free to use. The price is very very good to recommend others to stay here.

The pillow is too flat like paper. The interior design is old such as the wallpaper is broken.

This place has a convenient location as it is close to Shin Imamiya, Tsutenkaku Tower, and a Mega Donki. Shin Imamiya has access to Nara, Dotonbori, Kyoto, and Kansai Airport via JR Pass.

There is no cleaning in daytime but that is understandable. This is a budget hotel, not a grand one.

There is everything you need! You have bicycles to use for free - first come, first serve! There is a fully equipped kitchen with two fridges, toaster, microwaves, cooking plates and dishes. In the lobby is a small shop/shelf for convenience food, ice cream or snacks. Furthermore there is an onsen free to use. You get slippers and bathrobes. Also you can get free shampoo and conditioner from the reception. For ladies there are some beauty articles like facial wash or body lotion for free. The WIFI is working great, whether you are in the lobby or in your room. The staff is really very helpful, although there is a language barrier some time. We would definitely come again!

Showers are located in the first floor only, so we had to take the lift down from the 5th floor!

1. The fare of room is OK for backpackers. 2. The kitchen facilities are suitable for guests. 3. The water supply is OK. 4. The most is the helpful staff!! I met the receipt problem with a shop and I would ask for the help. The staff immediately helped me to explain my ask and anger. It is not the responsibility for them but their hospitality for every guest is perfect.

1. If you prefer a big room, not a good choice for you. 2. Sometimes you may smell the smoke. 3. The place is noisy at midnight because of the bad violation of some people.

The public bath was really nice after travelling around Japan with shared shower hostels. The room comes with a fridge and managed to fit 3 large suitcases in it. Also the hotel is right outside the Osaka metro Station, and a short walk away from the Kansai Rail station elevator exit.

Only one elevator to the women only floor and it’s quite old.
