I've stayed in a number of APA hotels so I'm already a bit familiar with the hotel's atmosphere. PRICE: APA Hotel is known for its affordable accommodations. This was no different. Considering the location, it was definitely a good deal. LOCATION: The hotel is in a business/residential area. During my stay, it was quite a quiet neighborhood. Tokyo Metro's Hanzomon Station is within walking distance. There are some convenience stores and Japanese food places nearby. If you like walking, then the Imperial Palace's (Chidorigafuchi side) can be reached on foot. ROOM: The room where I stayed was quiet and the size was good enough for one person. I've stayed in other APA Hotels and this was kind of similar to the other branches. There is no proper closet so please be aware of this especially if you have plenty of stuff. MATTRESS: The bed was quite firm. It's perfect for me because I like this kind of bed. ROOM AMENITIES: In addition to the usual amenities, I liked it that there were power outlets at the bed headboard. There was also a paper crane origami which I thought was really kind and thoughtful. STAFF: The staff at the reception when I checked in was very helpful. They were friendly and smiled a lot.

My experience at the hotel was good. The location is great, with several convenience stores nearby, the neighborhood is pleasant, and the subway is very close. Regarding the infrastructure, it’s a simpler APA compared to others I’ve stayed at, but it doesn’t stray too far from the standard. What I really want to highlight is the impeccable service from the staff. We had a major issue with Yamato (a luggage delivery service), and the staff on duty on the night of December 7th and the morning of December 8th were extremely helpful and went above and beyond to assist us in resolving the problem. We almost left Japan without our luggage if it weren’t for their willingness to help and mediate with the third-party company. Even though it wasn’t a hotel-related issue, they were AMAZING with us! I’m incredibly grateful. I would definitely return!
I would improve the cleanliness, but it’s not too bad.

The room was well prepared equipped with all the amenities accounted for. The check in process was very quick and easy. connecting to the wifi was not a problem as the network and pass was displayed on the tv screen. Tv screen had a lot of useful information about the hotel and its facilities. The water pressure was excellent. The toiletries were of exceptional quality as well.
The mattress, I think it should be more ergonomically compliant. It was quite worn out and probably un fit for a good sound sleep. The coffee packets could have been better as well.

The perfect hotel for solo travellers. I love all the little thoughtful touches, such as: nice spacious table for laptop and mouse, a chair with roller wheels (seriously, this is underrated if you plan to work for a few hours in the room), the Wi-Fi was fast, free entertainment channels on the decent sized TV (with support for streaming from your mobile device!), turn on/off lights within easy reach, awesome shower head, 2 dryers and 2 washing machines with a coin changer on the ground floor, helpful staff. Seriously, you can't beat this place for the price. Its also close to Hanzomon station, just 4 minutes walk! Highly recommended.
If I had to nitpick, I would say the hair dryer is really small and weak. Bad idea if you have long hair (I don't, and I still struggle to use it). Also it would be nice if there was an international power socket like some other hotels.

The hotel is very conveniently located, it's clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful.
We travelled as a couple with a toddler baby. The room we were given barely had enough room to put the toddler bed in, the only place the bed fit in was the entrance corridor. As a result we had trouble entering the room as well as the bathroom with the toddler bed in place, and overall there was no space in the room. Our toddler was not very fond of the toddler bed and ended up sleeping half of every night with us. Since the double bed is rather small, none of us got a decent sleep for the whole of our stay. Needless to say, we could have asked for a bigger room.

It was really quiet, I couldn't hear any noise from any other rooms. It was clean, and cleaned every day which I didn't expect. On the days I was still in the room at cleaning time or didn't need it cleaned, they left a bag outside my door with a replenishment of amenities. It was a great location, close to 2 subway stops which was so easy and central to where I needed to get to. The neighbourhood was nice and quiet and I really liked the hotel too.
Only thing was that the window was frosted, looking out onto a brick wall from the small crack I could see through when opened. Not a big deal, but I would have really liked a view. However, as I spent most of my time outside the hotel, it didn't matter too much in the end. Noise from construction on the street could be heard during the day, but this is not the fault of the hotel. The sound proofing between rooms is actually excellent. I didn't hear anyone else.

The property is nicely located in a quiet, central neighbourhood of Tokyo. There are 3 metro stations in walking distance and you can pretty much go everywhere easily. The neighbourhood is very different from the bustling areas of Shinjuku and Shibuya. It is much quieter and relaxing for those looking for a laid-back experience. The room itself is basic, yet nice. It has everything you need for your stay in Tokyo. The hotel is modern and staff are courteous
Rooms are, like mostly anywhere in Tokyo, very tiny. If you are travelling with one or two large suitcases, you are going to struggle to open them both at the same time in the room. It's very cramped. Even the hall doesn't exist in practice, there's literally no space for anything. The choice of restaurants at night is limited, so you might need to change area to widen your choices

- The hotel is quite central, couple of blocks from the Imperial Palace. - The rooms are very tidy and clean, you have everything you need on a smaller-compact place. - The breakfast is tasty and you can choose from quite a few. - If you are a "QR-Code Junkie and a high-tech-fan", the check in/out system is almost completely digital - but for people with less hightech/more value on human interaction :D - you can have a completely normal check in (in good English! - not always expectable in Japan). - You have a good TV and you can watch even some block-busters (like Transformers or Avatar) free. - You can leave your luggage before and after your stay. - They don't clean every day - super!
- It is not a mistake, not everyone travels that much... :D But if you have huge luggages (because for 4 weeks you need some stuff) - and if 2 people in 1 room - no chance to handle your clothes - the rooms are too small (in every Apa where I stayed). - Attention! - there are a couple of APA Hotels in Tokio (and other big cities throughout Japan)!!! Give the exact address in your GPS in, because otherwise you might end up by an other hotel!

The reception (a guy) greeted us with full smile and full of energy. He tried his best to give us directions regarding the restaurants around the hotel (with his limited English). Whenever we came back to the hotel, he always made sure we saw him waved to us (kind of cute). The room is clean and big enough for 2 people (as long as you don’t bring the giant suitcase).
They don’t offer us the skincare products (body lotion, sunscreen, wax, moisturiser for your face, etc) we can use for free like the other hotels in Japan offered us, but this is not a big issues for us 😅

The hotel is in a quiet neighborhood that is 15 minute walk to the Akasaka business and restaurant area. The room was small as advertised but perfectly arranged for two persons. Room provisioning exemplifies Japanes attention to detail! Small eateries and coffe shops nearby.
Google maps uses a somewhat different name for the hotel as does iPhone maps - this was a bit confusing until I studied it carefully! APA Hotel Hanzomon Hirakawacho アパホテル〈永田町半蔵門駅前〉
