Wonderful location, about 5 mins out of central Shinjuku so close to the fun but still quiet. Lots of supermarkets and restaurants nearby. Near 2 train stations so easy to get on the Yamanote line and to central Tokyo/Akihabara area in the South and East. We REALLY enjoyed being able to cast our shows to the TV. This was the only hotel out of 3 to offer this. Great amenities in the room. Nice to have an onsen available. Comfortable bed, the shower room is super efficient on space. It's nice to have a mirror that's warm so you can use it in a steamy bathroom. Nice to have kettle and hairdryer in room. Other amenities like hairbrush, toothbrush etc were nice to have in the room as well. More access to milk would be good. Powdered milk isn't great. Fresh towels everyday! The nicest robes out of 3 hotels as well. Didn't get breakfast but the restaurant underneath the hotel was wonderful. Great Wagyu and friendly service. Great English by all the staff.

Every day you receive fresh towels (which is great) but they're delivered in a bag on your door handle and old towels aren't collected so by day 3 (cleaning is every 4th day) you've got atleast 3 days worth of towels piled up in your room which is inconvenient when the bathrooma are so small. Would've been good to check in early but the baggage storage system was okay. Check in was more complicated than other hotels but was fine. It would've been nice to know there was a mixed gender Onsen that you can use with swimwear as we didn't bring any swimsuits but wouldve like to have gone. The fridge easily gets accidentally turned off due to the location of the desk chair.

Great location, we got an upper room with a spectacular view! Room is small but well thought-out and has everything you need.

Not very easy to find, there are a lot of APA Hotels in this area all with very similar names - we went to two others before we finally found the right one!

The staff are wonderful & very very helpful, it really gives the hotel a good image. The rooms were small but that wasn’t too much of an issue. The facility itself was very modern, clean & easy to navigate. Loved that we got new towels & amenities every second day. The shower was amazing, the bed was so comfortable & the laundry facilities were good as well. The staff had pretty good English, they were so helpful when I had issues or needing help to send my luggage to my next hotel.

The location was great, close to higashi Shinjuku station but it’s kind of off putting walking through the streets seeing a lot of local partygoers & street workers. Expected as it is the red light district but not something I am use to. It gave me a different perspective of Tokyo. We just walked through the other side of the hotel where there were less of that scene. Nothing the hotel did wrong just something to be mindful of. I don’t think it would be a good location for children.

Since the restaurant has limited space in relation to the amount of guests, we were warned that we may experience some waiting time, but in the 6 days we stayed we never had to wait for a place. The food is fresh and part of the buffet is prepared live in front of you.

This one is not really the hotel's fault, but since there are multiple APA Hotels in Shinjuku and they share a great portion of their names, it's quite confusing for taxi drivers. For example our hotel has Kabukicho Tower in the name, but there is an other APA Hotel in Shinjuku right by the Kabukicho Tower, but that's not ours (in this sense picking up an uber was easier than a regular taxi to avoid this confusion.

The location of the hotel is great! About 10' on foot from two stations in Shinjuku. The room felt clean and neat, and the view from the 20th floor was amazing!

The room was really small. If you have large suitcases, it is kind of difficult to even open them inside. There was also an excessive use of resources: the staff would leave new products after cleaning the room (even a new toothbrush and slippers!) and also a bag with toiletries (towels etc.) outside the room everyday, which felt rather unnecessary and wasteful...

The bed was very comfortable and king sized (5ft), which was great considering the size of the room.

The check in process! I have stayed in a total of 5 hotels so far on my trip to Japan and this was the worst. All the other hotels had a person to check you in, checking the reservation, photocopying the passports, issuing room keys and giving basic info etc. All of this took just a few minutes. The APA group use automated check in with people on hand if needed… I needed! The whole process, despite help, still took nearly 20 minutes using an automated check in device! Ridiculous, go back to humans checking you in!!

It's in the heart of Shinjuku! I didnt need to stress about catching the last train when having a night out here. The comfort in that alone is immesurable.

I understood that the hotel was trying its best to accomodate everyone but the temperature was kept at an above average temp. I stayed in another APA for 1 night and the window there was able to be opened. I couldnt see why this location here wouldnt do the same.

Property was in a good central location, short walk to popular areas and the subway station. Quiet at night time. The staff were friendly and check in and out was easy. The room itself is simple, clean, with good air conditioning and plenty of amenities. The room and bathroom is very small but this should be known to everyone as all the reviews seem to point it out. Perfect place for an individual or couple who want to spend most of their day exploring the city.

Not so much a negative, more a warning: Check in advance the actual address of your APA hotel before you arrive. There are a LOT of APA hotels scattered around every big Japanese city and it can be easy to go to the wrong one, which may only be a few hundred metres from your one but confusing to find if you arrive and can’t get WiFi.

The hotel is well located, with a short walk to Shinjuku station. The room was small, but we (two large adults with a large backpack each) managed to use the space well and we did really have enough space. Even though it's small, it's well equipped with everything we needed - we had a two night stay, and then one week later a three night stay. The wifi connection was excellent, the bed was comfy and a good size, the shower was good, and the air con was powerful enough to keep us cool. I would certainly stay again.

I did not enjoy the check in process at all. I think it would be better either entirely self check in or entirely checked in by reception staff. Having staff interrupting you and asking you questions while you're trying to focus on the queue and the screen is incredibly unhelpful.
