The room was beautiful, spacious and nicely decorated. The staff was exceptionally kind, patient and helpful. We particularly liked the cocktail bar near reception which had a great vibe, a skilled and knowledgeable barman and a thoughtful menu. The bedding was very comfortable, by far the best we had during our stay in Japan.
Additional facilities like a room/cafe for guests to spend time during the day to read would have been nice. There was a cafe/restaurant and a cocktail bar area however they were both open to public and felt like they were mainly for consuming customers. The main breakfast option was to get a sandwich delivered to your room, but we didn’t have table and chairs to eat it on, it would have been nice to have it at the cafe. It was also very hot in our room and there was no option to turn the heating off (as it is controlled at building level only). Opening the windows was not an option due to road noise outside. They ended up giving us a Dyson fan, which was better than nothing but not ideal if you like to sleep in cool temperature and silence.

Meals we experienced were all fantastic and first class. Mini bar provisions were delicious and high quality. At check-in they explained the hotel facilities with a welcome drink and sweet treats in the snug downstairs bar. They even had the record player playing some jazz when we first entered our room. The decor is really special and we loved the plants and art books.
We couldn’t find cupboards or drawers to adequately unpack into so had to live with our suitcases. Temperature of our room was hard to control. It started too cold and remained too hot throughout our three days. Ventilation in bathroom seemed non existent. Charging iPhones etc was difficult. We could only use one power point by the bed with no extra adapters provided and power strength seemed low in the many built in usb sockets.

My partner and I travel to Japan often, and K5 has quickly become one of our favorite places to stay. After falling in love with it last year (during our 6 night stay in 2023), we couldn’t resist returning again this year—and it did not disappoint. One of the things we love most about K5 is its location. Situated in Nihonbashi Kabutocho, the hotel offers a perfect balance between tranquility and convenience. The area is quaint and quiet, making it ideal for restful evenings, yet there are fantastic restaurants, bars, and bakeries all within walking distance. Additionally, there are several metro stations lines nearby, allowing easy access to the rest of Tokyo. The service and hospitality at K5 are absolutely exquisite. From the moment you arrive, the staff greets you with warmth, professionalism, and genuine care. They go out of their way to ensure every part of your stay is seamless, from thoughtful recommendations to personal touches that elevate your experience. Whether assisting with luggage or offering insights on local spots, their attention to detail makes you feel completely at home. The design of K5 is another standout feature. Both the hotel and its rooms are breathtakingly beautiful, combining unique character with timeless elegance. The rooms feel cozy yet luxurious, inviting you to linger in bed with a coffee or relax on the couch with a drink in hand. Every element of the design feels intentional, creating spaces that are as comfortable as they are stunning. If you’re planning a stay in Tokyo, K5 should be at the very top of your list. Whether it’s your first visit or a return trip like ours, this hotel offers a perfect retreat in the heart of the city.

Our stay at K5 Hotel in Tokyo was nothing short of exceptional. As a design hotel, it truly lived up to its reputation with an aesthetic that was both innovative and elegant. Every corner of the hotel was thoughtfully designed, showcasing a perfect blend of modern style and functionality. The room was a work of art in itself, with sleek lines, high-quality materials, and clever use of space. It provided a tranquil and luxurious environment, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring Tokyo. The attention to detail in the design extended to the amenities as well, making our stay not just comfortable but truly enjoyable. The staff at K5 Hotel were incredibly professional and attentive, adding a personal touch to our experience. They were always ready to assist with any requests and offered excellent recommendations for exploring the city. Overall, our stay at K5 Hotel was a unique and memorable experience. The combination of impeccable design, top-notch service, and excellent breakfast made it one of the best hotel stays we've ever had. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a stylish and sophisticated stay in Tokyo.

Room was really spacious (esp. given Japanese hotel standards), quiet and with a great double bed. Kudos on top-notch interior design, including modern turntable and eclectic choice of records. Staff was friendly and attentive. A real boutique hotel. The bar/breakfast area was also nicely designed as well and had good coffee (and coffee tonic). Somewhat “hipster“ in a positive sense — large windows łooking at the back entrance of JPX Tokyo Stock Exchange. Nice bar on ground floor specializing in sawa-based drinks.
Bar charges cover fee from hotel guests. That is unusual but ok, but it’s a good idea to point this out to guests beforehand. They could do a lot more with the coffee bar and restaurant space. Very nice ambient, but the restaurant space seemed always empty or closing when we came. Maybe I haven’t grasped the concept…

Clean and hip hotel with extremely friendly and helpful staff. The room was bigger than usual in Tokyo within the same price range. There are a couple of bus/metro stops within walking distance as well as konbinis. The area is quiet at night as it is more of a business oriented neighborhood.
There is no view per se as it is a low building, and it is also a historical one, so it makes sense in that regard. The window is facing the stock exchange across the street. Also, there was an odd trembling sound from time to time coming from above, and we couldn't figure out what it was as we lived on the top floor.

We loved the room and whole vibe of the hotel. The interiors are beautifully designed and it is nicer than in the pictures - this was honestly such a wonderful place to stay. We also loved the simplicity of the check in process - not worrying about your bags and being given a Japanese tea and sweets
We found it difficult to book good restaurants in the vicinity. The front of house staff were helpful but perhaps having a go to list of good quality restaurants nearby the recommend to and book for guests would assist making the stay in Tokyo better. One recommendation we had received really Missed the mark which was unfortunate.

The room is spacious and tastefully designed and decorated. The staff were definitely a highlight of this stay - extremely helpful, cheerful and informative and helped to make various restaurant reservations.
The bed was slightly hard and while the design of the room was interesting - some parts were not ergonomically great for example the sinks were quite low and narrow making it difficult to use it, the racks at the toilet where toiletries are to be placed is also low and hard to reach. However, the location is awesome, while it is 4 mins away from train station, the neighbourhood where k5 is in is tucked and nestled in an area of nice preserved buildings making it quiet and exclusive and the nihonbashi neighbourhood is not touristy at all making it an excellent option if u prefer to be away from hustle and bustle of Shinjuku or Shibuya. The area is also peppered with great cafe scene of small coffee roasters, brunch spots etc. v nice to explore the area.

We stayed at Hotel K5 for 6 nights. We found the location perfect for a longer stay as the hotel is situated in Nihombashi Kabutocho, a quieter neighbourhood in Tokyo that remains close to metro stations, convenience stores and restaurants. The staff was exceptional. From check-in to check-out, the level of care and attention that we received from everyone was beyond what we ever experienced in any hotel. The property is beautiful. The design is modern and fresh. Our room was spacious and comfortable. We had breakfast and dinner at Caveman (their restaurant on the main floor) and cannot recommend it enough. The food was delicious and the service impeccable. The coffee at Switch coffee is excellent. They also have a beer hall in their basement level that seems really interesting but we didn’t get a chance to go.
The bathroom is beautiful and compliments the room perfectly however the shower was disappointing. The water pressure was mediocre and the wall that separates it from the bathroom is too small and water splashes everywhere. I would definitely upgrade to a room with a bathtub next time. This minor issue would not deter us from returning to this hotel.
