This is my second time staying here. Great location, accessible between both narita airport and the main lines with only around a 10-15 minute walk from each. Facilities were mostly convenient, towels were provides and rules were easy to understand.

I didn't know I was getting a room with a bunkbed-only setting. I don't normally have a problem with that, but there was no light switch accessible without going down the ladder, and there are no consents (electric sockets) near the bed. Only a minor inconvenience though, still very good value for money.

What is this hotel for? This hotel is for backpackers that want a more comfortable experience and room of their own with a key and that comfort and security is better than anything else. You also 2 showers that are shared that can be used anytime and a kitchen which is the same but past midnight you need to keep quiet. You get a Japanese bath also which can be used after 18.00 to around 22.30 and you need to write your room number to enter it. I was going to use it on my last day but I got home too late. You also get a washing machine and dryer that you need to pay for. It’s 300 yeah for the bundle. You get a eating area where you can meet other guests which has a TV and a computer you can use. If you stay for longer than one night you get the Wi-Fi which has decent speeds. Your room is equipped with a bed, bed side table and a TV. At least this is the case for the solo room. You also get an Ac which I used all night haha. This is hostel in all the sense of the word with your own room which makes it a hotel. You won’t get the hotel experience here but better than a capsule hotel for sure. One plus is that you can enter the hotel whenever and when you arrive very late you get a code so you can enter. It’s a little bit of trust to the guests. You also get slippers which you can use, two towels for the shower and shampoo, conditioner and body soap are in the showers. The Japanese bath does not have any but you can buy from the staff. The location can perhaps be a problem but if you are an anime fan like me Akihabara is a direct metro away from Minami sen-ju. It is very close to the hotel. If you want to do somewhere tho I would say it will take at least one hour to get somewhere. So be ready for that commute time. I like walks so I explored the area and it was fun. Last but not least to get food, I did not eat at any restaurants close to the area but a lot of super markets and konbini do exist. Close to the hotel you have a super market and a seven eleven.

Normally the hotel changes bed sheets everyday but here it is not. Its not necessarily a bad thing. If you want complimentary food you won’t get that either and you have to fend for food yourself. For backpackers this hotel is a 10, while a person wanting a hotel experience I would not recommend it. I love it myself as I normally just sleep and go out.

Getting a private room with an AC unit so you can control the climate for this price is a great value. The staff is kind, friendly, and helpful. Offering a bath in the evening is a nice touch, too. In terms of location, it's nice to wake up in the morning and easily head for a jog on the river path. It's a clean, quiet area.

The location isn't great for sightseeing. There's nothing to do or see in the immediate area. Even dining options are scarce. It can take a while to get to other places in Tokyo, too. One of the showers wasn't working when I was there, but luckily I didn't have to wait long for one of the other two to open up.

I liked the private bathhouse, it was a nice and unique experience. The neighborhood was very quiet and peaceful. The staff were very nice and accommodating, especially the staff member who helped us check in and carry our luggage to our room. I also rented a yukata which was very nice and affordable! There is a 7-11 very close by which was convenient to get snacks and supplies from, and the train and nearest bus stop were not too far away.

This isn’t the hotel’s fault, but sometimes there was pee on the bathroom floor late at night due to other guests, but it was always cleaned up quickly. The rooms were a little small, but that is normal for Tokyo. It would have been nice to have more hooks to hang things from or shelves in the room to have more storage options in the small space!

From the first moment I was greeted with a welcoming atmosphere and a very friendly staff. After a small tour around the Hotel, the Staff carried my luggage in my room. The room was rather small but I was expecting it and it got enough room to have both of my bags on the floor to act as my clothing storage and still leave enough space to enter! The air conditioning was great and highly appreciated, as days were already getting hotter. The area is really nice and quiet, perfect for coming back from one of the more buzzing areas. Around the corner is a seven eleven for the basic needs, a small beautiful shrine and not much further a Life-Supermarket that got everything my heart could desire! The station is a little less than 10 minutes away and has good connections, so traveling around was really easy! The hotel got thoroughly cleaned every day and the private bathtub filled by an onsen was a wonderful addition and could be reserved for half an hour - was the perfect end of the day after walking around a LOT! But the most memorable part that made my 1-month stay unforgettable was the staff - not just were they really friendly and helpful with every request, they were also very happy to share information about the culture and language (as well as correcting me if I was using something wrong). The people that worked there made my stay very special and you can't have this in typical hotels. The only downside are the thin walls, but they were no problem for me as I am not that light of a sleeper. Of course it also depends on the other travelers and the location of the room. All in All a perfect place to stay for a really good price - as long as you don't plan to come with a family. As a couple it should be okay, for a solo traveler I would say this is an ideal place to stay!

Nothing really, as the rather noisy rooms were known beforehand and it wasn't a problem for me. Staff, area and cleanness were all perfect. Couldn't wish for anything more and will definitely stay there again!

The only complaint I have is that the internet speed, even on LAN, was a bit unstable. But that's a non-issue when you're outside most of the time anyway. (On that note, I was surprised there was even an RJ45 in my room with connection!) The facilities were more than I expected for a stay like this. Multiple toilets per floor was great, one refrigerator per floor was also more convenient than what I'm used to of there only having 1 for the whole place. I didn't really use the ofuro, but the fact they had that + 2 shower rooms is already pretty good. My only wishes would be to maybe also have a shower room in the second floor if possible (most likely not possible without massive renovation), and maybe another set of laundry + driers. Other than that, I liked my stay. Well, my room was a bit small especially since I had a lot of luggage, but that's more of a personal thing as I always have a lot of luggage yet always book these basically bed-space rooms haha. Don't let that discourage you though, I think this place has great value for what I got.

This is my second time staying here. I think I got lucky the first time because I managed to sleep very well despite the thin walls as everyone was very quiet, however, this time there were some slightly noisy guests chatting in the corridors and loudly in the rooms which really does travel as the walls really are thin, probably just plasterboard partitions. Also, I think the leather slippers that are offered could be swapped out for thinner cloth/polyester ones so that they are less noisy when people walk up and down the corridor in the night. Basically, you are at the mercy of your fellow travellers and how considerable they are. That said, I've met some nice people here chatting in the common spaces, the staff are great, and I like the onsen and bathroom. I would probably stay here again. This place is often cheaper than a bed in a dormitory, and it's only 6 bus stops away from the popular Asakusa area, so on balance, a decent place.

Thin walls. Depending on which room you stay in, you can hear your neighbours coughing in their room. Beds a tad uncomfortable, but too soft.

The room was honestly bigger than I expected (based on photos and other guests' photos), and I had enough space to lay down and open a medium-sized luggage bag. The various shared facilities were kept pretty clean for the duration of my stay at the hotel. Staff was extremely helpful, and will also give you a quick rundown of the hotel facilities before showing you to your room. I also got help with carrying my luggage to my room, which was extra nice since the hotel does not have an elevator (it only has 2 floors, though) Location is good if you can handle a short walk, and the area is pretty peaceful. It is extremely easy to get to the hotel if you're coming from Narita via the Keisei line, and you also have easy access to both the JR line and the Tokyo Metro as well. It is approximately a 10-15 min walk from either station to the hotel.

Thin walls might be an issue for some; you can easily hear people passing by your room and people closing nearby doors, etc. Not really a problem for me personally but others may take issue with this. If you have really big luggage bags/multiple luggage bags with you then unpacking might be an issue. Wifi can be spotty sometimes. Okay enough for social media and watching videos, but anything more demanding than that isn't recommended.

Good value for a private room Bidet in bathroom 10 minutes walking to two metro stations that will get you anywhere you need to go in the city The best 7-11 in Tokyo is a one minute walk away. Loved the smoothie machine there. You can reserve the shared bath every night for 30 minutes. A great way to end the day. There is a nice river path for running going east along the Sumida River nearby. Staff was responsive and accommodating via messaging feature before the trip. Kitchen with free coffee and green tea. Microwave. Fridge. Washer and dryer for 200 yen each plus laundry soap for 60 yen. Heater in room kept me warm.

Staff spoke some English, though limited, and rarely greeted me. The light in the room was bright white and hurt my eyes. There was no bedside lamp. The slippers were hard to wear going up and down the stairs. No sound proofing with a gap between the door and the floor, so you can hear everything in the hall and room next door. It was generally quiet but there was a large group of guys talking loudly in the hallway past 10pm my last night there. I wish the staff would have said something to them.

Was really surprised by how home-y it feels inside the room. The big bath was a very big plus for me especially in the cold season. Since I have tattoos, it's been difficult to find sentos who can accomodate people with tattoos. But this place has their own bath house! You can reserve the entire sento area for 30min per day! Heaven! Really liked the neighborhood too! There are three train lines and a couple of bus stops in the area. Perfect if you want to go to Asakusa, Akihabara and Ueno a lot. Staff was super nice and helpful too! Will definitely book here again.

The hotel is quite a walk from the station but since it's a peaceful area, it's quite nice if you're not in a hurry.
