I liked that it was tidy, clean and quiet. The bathroom had all the neccessary equipment to have a refreshing shower (they provided soap, shampoo and even conditioner and body lotion). Every floor has a microwave and a kettle, but if you'd like to have some serious meal, you could use the kitchen on the first floor with all the stuff you may need. You'll have also everything in the room you'll need, even if you stay a bit longer (I was there twice for 4 days): comfy bed with reading light and place to charge you electronic devices; under that a living room area with a fridge and a little sofa and a cupboard; and there is also a little desk with a chair. They provide you slippers, since it is not allowed to use your shoes in the room (normal in Japan). They also provide a towel, what you can change every day to a clean one. There is also a yukata, which is like a bathrobe. The windows have bugs-protection on it, so you can leave it open if you don't mind the sounds of the street. (It is not a loud district) The location was also wonderful: with a 8 min walk you can reach the metro station, which is one of the best way to travel in Tokyo. There is also a plenty of shopping opportunities such as Lawson or other convenience stores. If it rains, you can have an umbrella, what you return at the end of the day (no charge). They even have a hot bath for 400 yen (I didn't try it, but sounds lovely). The staff was really kind and they speak english.
There was no such thing.

The room I had was a little 3-tatami+ pocket and it was great. It's nothing fancy, no bells and whistles, just a spot to crash at night because you'll hardly be there otherwise (ideally). There's a mini fridge in each room, microwave and hot water on each floor, the showers were spaced out between a few floors (and the one I used on the 6th was very good). I noticed some comments talk about a smell in the room - that's just old Japanese building + tatami smell. I can't comment on the AC, I left my window open all night for fresh air and it was cool enough I never used it. Staff were pleasant and answered questions I had. There's a bus stop out front, a mini grocery store directly across the street, a larger grocery store just up the street, and Minami-senjyu stn is a 10-ish minute walk away. This is great if you're happy with minimalism for the price and don't mind the commute!

I absolutely loved the bathroom facilities. It was always empty, with a hairdryer, soap, shampoo, and conditioner provided. The room was simple, but very clean. Laundry facilities were available. It was an excellent value. The hotel is located in a great part of Tokyo, next to a bus stop that takes you to Tokyo Station. 15 mins from Asakusa/Sensjo-Ji. 10 mins walk to Hibiya line metro where you can reach many neighbourhoods in 30 mins.
I wanted to stay 1.5 hours longer after check-out and was asked to pay 1000 yen, a lot compared to the nightly price. I understand but on the other hand, I stayed for 6 nights, a bit of flexibility would be appreciated, as I didn't request cleaning, etc during my stay.

Room as advertised - while seemingly small, was enough for the solo traveller, comfortable enough to rest, sort my luggage and engage in light reading after a long day out. I was not disturbed at all by noises from the neighbours and the futon provided was quite comfortable. Thick mattress that made for good rest. Facilities were good too, toilets on each floor, with shower facilities on specific floors that were not difficult to access. There's warm water from most handwashing taps, a welcome amenity during cold winter months. A Lawson 100 is right beside the hotel, open 24/7 for any food needs. The nearest station, Minami-Senju station, is around 700m walk away, a straight path, with two or three simple traffic crossings. The station brings you to places of interest like Ueno, Akihabara or Asakusa fairly easily, in less than 20 minutes. Near the station is a mall, a Denny's family restaurant (where I had breakfast and spent some time at on the morning returning home) and a McDonald's that opens till 2am.
Lift could be a bit slow, there is only one lift servicing 10 floors. The side entrance you have to use after 11.30pm took me a short moment to find, you just need to move the bicycle gate thing aside (but also remember to close it behind you). Really small inconvenience.

This is probably the best value for money for your stay in Tokyo. My Japanese style room was very comfortable, and tatami still feels fresh, along with the provided nightwear. Staff are very helpful and friendly.
Nevertheless, note that the hotel is not quite close from the center area and major "modern" tourist spots as I have to take a bus after taking the train from my main tourist spot (i.e., Shibuya). However, note that the hotel is within reach (not very close but still) to Ueno park, Asakusa shrine, and Tokyo Sky Tree. If one considers the location, you may plan your visits based on proximity / farness to tourist spots or other locations.

- It is really convenient to get there from Minami Senju station. 10-minute walk along the main street. Seemed very safe. - A microwave and a kettle at every floor. - Helpful staff. - You can get in and out every time through the side door.
- It is very loud there. The traffic on the street is not large but you can hear everything even with windows closed. Earplugs are absolutely necessary. - I do not understand why they use duvet covers with a large 'decorative' hole on the front. I do not believe duvets are washed after every guest. I know they are traditional bedsheets in Japan and some other regions but why are they in use in hotels? - There are not many showers. They are only on three out of ten floors. I had to wait just once during my four-day stay but the hotel did not seem full.

For a solo or duo trip, this hotel is perfect to set base at! The convenience of having a lawson next to it aswell as a bus station makes it easy for you to start your day straight away without delaying yourself! Its literally on the main road and I have many times walked to get to places from the hotel. The staff are very welcoming and their english is at a high level! very understanding and service oriented! 4/5 experience Highly Recommended!
If there is one thing that I am to complain about is the cleaning, its done well HOWEVER it can be done better, for example there was things like a wall phone attached in my room and it was filled with what it looks like years of dust build up! Same goes for the ventilation, the AC had very rough dust build up and I highly recommend atleast once per year a thorough cleaning of all hard to get to places in the hotel like the AC because allergies and wellness of the guests can be affected by these small stuff. Otherwise this lovely hotel deserves the best, and next time I visit it will recieve 5/5 when I see the improvements!

Excluding the uncomfortable moments, was a good place that I will going back again. Just I will reduce the contact with other persons at minimum in other to avoid any possible conflict to any crazy/drunk person.
One night was a heavy fight in the hall on my floor, was very noise. But next day I saw each person talking with the staff about what happened. When I came back at night, the conflicted man was not there. (Which is nice) may be call cops immediately? It's on the corner of the next street? Other one, the personal asked me if I can wake up a drunk man in the bathroom. (Cuz I'm male and she cannot go there) after what happened in my floor I rather the staff do it so. May be all the problems can be avoid if you ban to drink alcohol at all floors....

The communal kitchen was really great to have, and I wasn’t expecting a fridge in the room, very handy!
Would have been nice to have fly screens on the windows, mosquitos would come in if I tried to open the window to enjoy the view. Also the room did smell a little, overall very minor issues.

The value was fantastic. For around $30 a night you get a private room with a shared bathroom. Facilities are clean, so are the rooms.the staff also speaks English and is super helpful. It's also a quiet neighborhood, which is nice after a long day exploring the city. There are bus stops really close and minami-senju station is only about a 10-15 minute walk from the hotel. For the price, you're getting an absolute steal.
It is a dorm style, meaning you share bathrooms. The facilities were extremely clean, but I would suggest bringing some shower slippers if you're wary of the idea of sharing the same shower with a lot of people. There isn't much to do in the neighborhood of the hotel; it's a quiet and residential area. This is something to consider if you want to be somewhere where there is a ton of stuff to do
