Hotel is situated near to the metro station, 3 mins walk away. Staffs are friendly and helpful. There is a restaurant beside where they serve breakfast- breakfast was not too bad after all. Shout out to the lunch and dinner serve at the restaurant, good food, cozy- highly recommended. You would love the scenery just outside the hotel, walk out and to the left you will be able to see the snow capped mountains.
Rooms are rather basic, no view from the room window. there's no elevator in the hotel, if you are carrying big heavy luggages, probably that would be a problem. Frontdesk staff doesn't always speak English, as far as they would love to help, there would be a little language barrier at some times.

Very large and comfortable room. Rich buffet breakfast in the nearby cafeteria, with fresh traditional and international food and drinks. Very large bathroom and very clean. A new and efficient refrigerator is available too. The position of the hotel is good, just next to a metro station and in front of various bus lines. It is close to many universities also. In general, the location is very good and quite cheap with respect to city standards.
There is no lift to go upstairs and the staircase is narrow. No help with heavy luggage by the hotel personnel. Some pieces of furniture in the room need some renewal. Sofas and armchairs in the room should be changed with newer or more comfortable ones. With a bit of attention to some details the location can improve further.

The location of the hotel is near bus stops and a metro station (Baikonyr). There's also a currency exchange office (MIG) and a kiosk where you can buy an Onay transport card near the hotel. The staff were very polite and helpful. If necessary, they can organise a tour of the city. The restaurant Julia offered a top notch buffet breakfast (included in the price of our stay) and had a very nice interior. It seems the hotel rooms might need some minor renovation in the years to come, but otherwise our room was clean, spacious and had all the necessary equipment in working condition.
There could me more towel railings in the bathroom. If the window view is important to you, mind that the hotel is a two-storied building with windows overlooking the rather busy Batursynov street on the one side and a backyard on the other side. But for us, it was quite alright.

Excellent location of the hotel. Good staff, attentive attitude to guests. The room is spacious with a comfortable bed. Breakfasts are quite up to standard, but there is not enough variety of assortment if you stay for a long time. Overall, only good impressions about the stay.
Still, a more careful attitude to the conditions is required. For example, in my case, the handle of the faucet in the shower was broken. That is, it was just hanging loose and when adjusted, it flew off and fell. I think that this cannot be overlooked when cleaning the room and promptly corrected. Such issues of oversight and negligence in small things spoil the overall good impression.

- Central location. Close to Baikonur Metro Station, which connects you to the main locations in the city (Panfilov Street; Arbat Street; Abay Opera House; Kok Tobe Cable Car Station; Central Park etc.) - Friendly and supportive staff (special mention to Dilyara for your exceptional service in making the stay arrangements) - Best doner shop next to the hotel - Sumptuous breakfast - Super fast internet
- There was an AC problem in the room for which the service was possible only on weekdays. The hotel should ensure to keep a back-up maintenance staff for any mechanical service breakdowns during the weekends. Maybe this was just one-off case but they could keep these arrangements for the future.

We had a very enjoyable stay at The Renion Zyliha. Reception was open 24/7 where Assem was very helpful and spoke English. The room was a spacious twin with TV, fridge, strong shower and efficient air conditioning. Kettle and tea bags were in the room. Bottled water was supplied daily and the room cleaned daily if required. There was a water dispenser in reception, where they also sold cold drinks and juice. The bed was comfortable and the room quiet. Breakfast was an extensive buffet served in the adjoining Julia Restaurant. It was very tasty and filling and excellently supervised by Baxagyp (pronounced Bakhodur I think). Julia restaurant is also a good place to go for meals and drinks, with tasty dishes on the menu. Again English is spoken and nothing is too much trouble for Iliyas and his colleagues. There are tables outside if weather permits. The hotel is in a busy but quiet area, there is a convenience store on the same block, and it is 1 minute from The Tourist Information Center which provides a good tourist map. You can walk to the Golden Square which is the City Center, or walk to the Metro which is just 2 minutes from Renion. Rides to any station are just 100 Tenge, less than £0.20.
Could not find English on any TV channel.

- Convenient access by public transportation. Metro Baikonur station is just within 3mins by foot. Abay street is just within 3mins walk, we can go to most of the place within Almaty, incl. near-the-Airport, Sairan bus terminal, Mega-Park, Panfielov park, and more, from the bus stop there. - Breakfast buffet has various selection and I enjoyed Kazakh style breakfast from the morning. I hope every one of them are "kept hot". - Shower facility is new. Room is kept clean. - Going out and walking up the hill toward south, to the direction of Satbayev university and then Al Farabi street is also nice. Mountain view is great there. - This time, front staffs are okay in English. Last time, years ago, female front staff here did not speak English at all and did not pick up Google translate either, finally I was helped by other guest at that time.
- Sometimes noise comes in from outside, as the building is 3 floor structure and Abay street is busy street.

I like smaller, more intimate hotels like this. It had a older feel to it which I find charming. Our room was comfortable and quiet with a view of trees at the back of the hotel. But the best feature of the hotel has to be the attached restaurant, Julia's. The food was so good we had dinner there the three nights we stayed at the hotel. The menu was interesting and the prices reasonable. A good reason stay at this hotel, I dare say!
It's a little awkward that the reception is up flight of stairs. But we got used to it fast. The shower was a little tight.

The hotel is conveniently situated 2 minutes walk from Baikonur metro station. Lots of places you can actually reach on foot. The breakfast was abundant and very good. You can order food in your room from the restaurant Julia on the first floor, the food and the service are great. The prices also seemed really good to me. The room was cleaned every day unless I asked them not to. Every day they also brought water, tea bags, etc. There is an electric kettle in the room.
The wi-fi connection was not good at all, at least in my room it wasn't good for sure. I ended up using my mobile data.

Comfortable bed and bathroom. AC worked well. Staff was friendly. Had to use Google translate a few times but that was fine. Laundry service was pretty quick; I received my items the same night. Good location as it is close to a metro but Almaty is pretty walkable anyway. Breakfast was basic but good. I would stay here again. The attached restaurant is open late and has good food.
My room was on the first floor just off of reception. If you are a light sleeper I would suggest asking for a room on a higher floor.
