The rooms were very nice and comfortable, they looked newly renovated. Staying on the side with the park gives a great view, making the experience very relaxing. The showers were nice and comfortable. Staff was extremely helpful through my stay!

The pool is very cold, the restaurant at the hotel is very slow

The location, the staff, the ambience, the room, the restaurant, the food, the baggage storage facility. Everything that I was looking for as a transit hotel before my journey to Masai mara was wonderful. The check in process was smooth, the check out was more smoother. They helped with the baggage storage when I was away for 2 days at Masari mara. A special mention to their restaurant which has the best ambience and the best food. The location is in the city but the rooms towards the trees make you feel you are away from the hustle. Definitely would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Nairobi

Nothing to be honest

We booked this for 1 night before flying to airport. Efficient check in/out. Staff were very accomodating! Next to Maasai markets (Tuesday), room was spacious and clean. They provided a lovely cake for our honeymoon. Breakfast was organised as take away as we needed to go on a safari tour and they provided so much food and it was yummy!

Miscommunication occurred when organising tour. A few mosquitos around the room - some repellant would benefit.

The hotel is in a good location, central and easy to get to. It is right next to the expressway but my room was at the back of the hotel so there was no noise. The restaurant is OK, Indian based food and wood fire pizzas which were nice. The breakfast is overpriced and not great though. My room was spacious and clean (2nd floor) and faced the back of the hotel where there is a (quite rapid) stream. Wifi was good and the check in process was also efficient and friendly. The hotel does seem to be used for parties and celebrations for outside guests. This I thought added a great ambience to the place however the music and partying did go on after midnight so if you're looking for quiet this might not be the place for you.

The hotel has a good location, a short walk from the National Museum and a bit longer to the city centre. The rooms are spacious and clean, equipped with necessary amenities (complimentary toiletries, coffee/tea and a safe were available in every room). The hotel serves really nice dinner buffet as well as good menu options.

We had an issue with breakfast. Our room didn’t include it, but we were told we could pay $15 per person to have breakfast at the hotel. However, despite informing the staff in the morning, we were charged a higher rate— the price for non-guests. It took the staff some time to remedy the issue, which was a bit of a nuisance, and it seemed that there was some miscommunication between the individual staff members. Eventually, the issue was resolved thanks to Pretty's helpful assistance.

I stayed in the property for the first two days in my trip in Kenya and left for visiting other cities. But I came back for lunch every time I had a stopover in Nairobi. It’s only 5min walk to national museum, and the hotel is one of the four oldest hotels in Nairobi decades ago! What impressed me the most is the staff here! They are really warm and genuinely concerned about the safety and happiness of their customers! I feel safe and very happy during my stays here! I particularly want to thank one of the staff, Lidian, for your help. I would book this hotel again if I come back one day.

Maybe you can include breakfast in the room fee?

The property is in an excellent location—close to Nairobi’s business center, and it’s conveniently situated right on the highway, making it easily accessible from the airport in just minutes. While there is a restaurant on-site that looks good, I opted to visit the nearby Mawimbi Seafood Restaurant, which I highly recommend. The hotel itself, along with the staff, is both friendly and secure.

However, the proximity to the Nairobi River is more of a disadvantage than a benefit. The river is extremely polluted and gives off a strong odor, which slightly affects the hotel’s surroundings. Additionally, there are many mosquitoes in the area, and while the hotel staff does their best to manage them, it’s a tough challenge that’s almost impossible to completely solve.

The staff was always helpful and friendly. The restaurant had great food and a wonderful cozy garden. The room was clean and spacious. It was also very affordable compared to similar establishments. There was even a pool, but I never used it or even checked it out so I can't comment on it. Will probably stay here again next time I'm in Nairobi.

There was some noise coming from next room/upstairs sounding like someone was moving furniture around. I don't know if it was a guest or staff moving things around. Happened a few nights in a row. The first night the water was dirty due to some problem caused by flooding from heavy rain, but the problem was solved the next day

Over all a good safe location in Nairobi. The hotel is set in gardens giving it a feeling of spacious. There is a large pool in the front of the property set in a private area. There are a few areas to just sit and relax that are not bars or restaurants which is good for groups travelling together.

The restaurant is good for selection but slow and unorganised. If they have the buffet working they aren’t happy to let you buy a la carte. If leaving early in the morning sort account the night before because the restaurant doesn’t send bills to reception and you can be delayed. Reception staff are excellent.
