This place iMawe Zuri is a pearl. I appreciated the friendliness and hospitality of all the staff. This is a peaceful haven with a very appeasing sea view, which I was able to enjoy from the restaurant every day, both morning and evening. The restaurant's menu is delightful. I reccomand to try the mango shrimp and rice. There are also has a spa with massage offers, à gym and swimming pools. If you prefer the white sand ans wave Mawe is close to the beach. Bonus : and they can help you organising your excursions with a local guide and airport transfert from Mombasa and Malindi.

Breakfast was excellent. I had a choice of egg (I chose to have a Spanish omelette every morning!), toast, fruit salad, tea/coffee and sausages. Benson served me usually, with discreet attentiveness and always with a genuine smile. The setting of the breakfast room was ideal, overlooking the Indian Ocean ceaselessly throwing rollers at the reef in the distance. It was incredibly peaceful and quiet (sometimes too much, particularly in the evenings, but that was due to the time of the year and the elections being held in Kenya during my stay). The décor was to die for: the rustic appearance was created by using local timber and coconut products; the designs were well thought out (as you will see in some of the photos). In the room the bed was oceanic and very comfortable. The cleaning crew were always discreet and attended to the room everyday. Anthony, the barman, was very informative and always ready for a chat, be it about politics or events or landmarks in the locality. He arranged a tuk tuk driver for my stay. Alfred was a treasure. He took me everywhere and was always available. Every member of staff, downwards from the manager, were courteous and genuinely friendly. They were really happy to have me there!

Nothing. Everything was perfect. There was a little problem with the shower, but the staff attended to it promptly and the manager offered me a free upgrade if I wanted it. I declined because I was already settled in the room.

Really nice space and very friendly staff. Beautiful view from the hotel onto the sea. Very clean rooms and frequent room service. Very big beds which was a bonus for me since many beds in Kenya are quite small for me. The pool was always open even at night. There is a small 'hidden' staircase down to the ocean which you can access at low tide. It's not a beach access as the ground is rocky but at low tide, if you feel adventurous, you could probably walk through the shallow water to the beach. Just don't expect a sand beach in front of your hotel.

The internet was quite slow and buggy. So if you plan to work from here, get a kenyan sim and some data. That worked well for me for a zoom call. But of course you are coming to relax anyways, right =). Also, while the breakfast was nice, I usually love a good buffet. This was a la carte. I guess that helps to not waste food so i respect it. Tiny details.

An exceptional boutique hotel with massive air conditioned rooms, huge comfortable king bed, great showers, 2 salt water pools, good food and very few people. I loved my stay here and extended for 2 additional nights to soak it all in. Perched on a sea cliff top, there's a commanding view of the beautiful bay And a secret tunnel to directly access the tide pools and sandy beaches at low tide.

The location might not be for everyone as there is no direct access to beach at high tide. But a very short and cheap tuk tuk or boda boda ride gets you anywhere in Watamu at any time.

The accommodations were pristine, offering ample space and a luxurious bed fit for royalty. The air conditioning worked flawlessly, ensuring our comfort throughout our stay. Our taste buds were tantalized by the delectable meals, with the tangy tamarind juice and succulent pork chops quickly becoming our favourites. And let's not forget the delightful English breakfasts enjoyed each morning against the backdrop of a breathtaking sea view. I'm definitely coming back.

Good size of room, large bathroom, well kept pools. Big TV, quiet location, fantastic seaview from the garden, easy to have a walk in the area and safe. Friendly staff, good breakfast but slow.

The restaurant menu had way too much dishes for staff to handle; at least this time of low season. In result some dishes had no similarities with the real raw model the name of dish came from. But some dishes were very good.

This place is amazing. It's perched right on the edge of the cliff, with uninterrupted views of the ocean. There are different outdoor seating areas, a spacious bar and a comfortable restaurant with a games section. The place is very well maintained too, with lovely staff and a beautiful swimming pool. The rooms are big and comfortable and have absolutely huge beds! I would highly recommend this place to anybody and would love to stay here again myself.

There were a few minor details, but the management were on the ball and immediately took my feedback on board, so there are no negative points worth mentioning.

The serenity and quietness of the hotel!!! Just perfect! And being at the sea front made evenings perfect for a sit and chill watching the sunset and listening to the wind. The staff were also exceptionally polite and friendly. If you’re looking to rejuvenate and take some time out. This is it! I think I found my spot anytime am off for R&R 😁

The place was awesome. I was working while I was there and it was very cozy, comfortable and the staff was so accommodating. Internet was very good, was working back in the states and had no issues. The shower was also the best shower I’ve had in Kenya. Water pressure was perfect. Netflix on the tv was also a huge plus. Couldn’t recommend more for anyone trying to relax and enjoy Watamu.
