Lovely little hotel within walking distance of both the train station and the old town. Very close to numerous delightful restaurants. Staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms can be sizeable or smallish, kind of luck of the draw, but our room came with fans which were delightful and much appreciated. Also had a window A/C unit that fortunately we did not need. Breakfast was great, with both European and North American items in ample supply (and hopefully they plan to re-open the traditional Walliser Hof for lunch and dinner again some day). The little elevator was great after a long day for not having to trudge up numerous flights of stairs. Hospitality factor was very high, with complimentary ice cream and sparkling water in the lobby, as well as beer in the room fridge. Although a little pricey (but comparable for Zurich), I would definitely come back.

The room was spacious enought for three people, and the beds were good. Lovely breakfast with fresh bread, fruit and pastery. Good coffee and even Prosecco! You can order your eggs as you like, and there was a lot of cheese, ham, Salomon etc. Free minibar with coke, water and beer (you can change into wine). A lot of restaurants, bars and cafes in the area. Short walk from HB.

Very hot in the 3. floor, they have AC, but it makes a lot of noise. Carpets on the floor is a bit «dirty». Noise from outside (room against the street). The single bed makes a lot of noise.

The breakfast was ok. Making mimosas was a nice touch. The location is wonderful. Near everything and so easy to find and get to. The staff was very friendly. We appreciated the fans as they were needed during our stay in May.

The breakfast could have had a few more options to choose from. If you stay on multiple days, you will eat the same breakfast each morning. Big challenge for us was the bathroom sliding door. There is a huge gap between the slider and the wall. Absolutely no privacy. The sliding door itself is clear except for a small area which is frosted with clear designs in it. Depending on where you are in the room, you can see the person inside and there is a clear shower wall. I was traveling with my 2 adult sons. This was very uncomfortable for us. I had to drape bed fabric over part of the door and a bath towel over the shower wall to create a little privacy. So just be aware, no bathroom privacy.

We realized when we arrived that we did not have the right adaptors for the electrical outlets. I went downstairs to the front desk and was kindly offered adaptors so we could charge our phones and computers. In addition, the staff was extremely helpful and the breakfast was great. Best Western Zurich is a lovely hotel that's just a few minutes walk from the train station. It's perfectly placed on a quiet street in the middle of old town Zurich. Everything is a few minutes away, the river, the gorgeous lake, shopping and delicious restuarants. The rooms were clean and the bathroom had 24/7 hot water. Sara and Laura, the front desk staff, were very warm and helpful. Everything about this hotel was perfect for our short stay, and I highly recommend it! We'll be coming back.

The staff members; starting with the front office team esp., Sarah, Jennifer, Sabrina and others all were exceptionally friendly, informative and most helpful. The restaurant team were great and the food served were good. The housekeeping staffs all were pleasant, clean and smiling all the time. The mini bar were all on the house !!! The location; just 3 mins to the river and 10 mins to the central railway station where there are many places to eat and lots of shops too.

The restaurant was only open for breakfast and not for lunch or dinner !! You need a bigger lobby for bigger groups.

This hotel exceeded my expectations !! Its about 10min walk from the central station and it's located right smack in the old town and near to tram lines. The free and welcoming coffee, the fruits baskets and friendly and helpful receptionist on duty. Breakfast is superb and of high quality. The receptionist recommended simons steakhouse and it was the best aged beef I've ever had and its only 5 minutes walk from the hotel. Many eateries and shopping nearby. Beds are comfortable and the mini bar is complimentary!! What more can i ask ? Highly recommend this hotel

Couldnt stay longer

So much to like. The room was spacious, clean and well equipped. Reception were friendly and helpful. The location was within walking distance of the main train station and being on the old side of the river it was very convenient for strolling around all the streets exploring. The breakfast was delicious with a variety of options. Compared to other hotels in that locale the price was very reasonable.

The price. That is more a Zurich thing than the hotel though. Compared to other cities the price for a night was expensive but not compared to other hotels in Zurich

Location was great for our trip, as it had easy bus access to and from the train station and into city core. We booked 2 rooms for 3 people as there were no rooms with 2 doubles or a triple room available when booking. This turned out to be a great option for us as our rooms were right next to each other in a corner. My husband and son stayed in a double room, and I took a single room. The windows opened in the rooms which was great for circulation. Rooms were very clean and we were given a small bottle of wine for each day we didn't require cleaning! The breakfast was enjoyed by all of us. We liked the offerings of juices, various coffee drinks (machine made), cheeses and baked goods (butter and multiple fruit jam options) each morning, as well as yogurt and fruit. We also liked ordering an omelette cooked to order each morning. Front desk service was lovely, and being able to get bottled water and ice cream in the lobby softened the blow of no A/C a bit.

So, the downside was the lack of A/C. It wasn't too hot during our visit, but it was humid and it rained a bit making having the windows open not always the best option. There was a fan in each room which helped, but that wasn't ideal. Still, I would stay here again as the location was prime. We tried to leave the windows open at night, but there was a lot of noise from the street into the early morning hours (cars, loud music, talking and laughing, even loud yelling) during our stay. The only time it stopped was when it rained and the lingering people left.

This hotel is in a great location, quite central to everything. The surrounding neighborhood has lots of great little shops and eateries. The breakfast is excellent; my daughter and were quite happy eating a large breakfast every morning. We loved the coffee machine and the trays of deli meats and cheeses.

In the bathroom, the sink area is quite small, and I was always in danger of hitting my head on the shelf sitting just above it each time I washed my face or brushed my teeth. The beds must be covered with some type of plastic-like layer that keeps the mattress clean, but I found it made me too warm when covered up with even just a single sheet. I woke up each morning sweaty, so I had to take a shower when I got out of bed.

We had 2 stays at the hotel. The first stay, we had a room on the 3rd floor directly facing the Main Street. Though no air-conditioning due to summer, it was ok with fans provided and opening the windows were fine even at night, it wasn’t noisy. We had good sleep on first stay. But on our second stay, we had a corner room on 2nd floor facing both the side of the small lane and Main Street. Being a weekend, the noise from the streets and drinking were unbearable. The room on the 2nd floor was very stuffy and hot even with fans on. We didn’t sleep at all on our 2nd stay. Breakfast was great. Staffs at the reception were very friendly, helpful and professional.
