Everything about our stay at the Amari was beyond our expectations. The check-in process was smooth and the staff were so nice and professional. Everybody greets you when they pass, and that Laos charm is everywhere. When we first walked in the room, the first thing we did was make some TikToks lol ...we were just so amazed. First at the view, which was even better than I'd expected. I guess photos just can't prepare you for a panorama of a mountain range, shrouded in mist, with the afternoon sun glittering off the river that runs in front of the hotel. It's stunning. The room itself is also amazing. It had everything we needed. The bed is super comfortable -- most comfy pillow I've ever slept on. And the shower is a rainforest style with a glass wall facing the balcony so you can see the mountains. (Don't worry, there are blinds in the bathroom for the shy ones). After soaking in the view, we went to the pool, got some drinks and then just floated around the pool looking at the view, which is, as I will continue to mention, amazing. Breakfast was also way better than I'd expected. It's low season now and the hotel isn't even close to full occupancy, yet the breakfast was still complete -- beyond complete, actually. We ate a ton and everything was great. Great bread, fresh fruit, espresso, some hot dishes like stir fried chicken and broccoli, rice dishes, and the omelet / eggs station...amazing. The omelets were cooked perfectly both days. Crispy bacon...yogurt...the list goes on and on. And we tried it all lol Regarding the area, Vang Vieng is not a clean, charming town like Luang Prabang. It's pretty run down. So the Amari is a bit of an oasis after you walk around for a while. In fact, we didn't do much beyond walking around and then sitting at the hotel staring at the mountains. But I'll go again before long to do some kayaking. This trip, we just saw Blue Lagoon 1 and the cave.

The reception staff could not have been more helpful, including booking me a Longtail boat ride up the river AND walking me down to the set off point. The breakfast was out of this world _an unlimited buffet. The view from my room was amazing.

only one thing. Half the deckchairs around the pool were in full afternoon sun, while on the other, shaded, side there were only spots for about 16 people. And in a hotel with that many rooms, that's not many

This hotel was just perfect. Reading other reviews my expectations were not too high however I had no issues at this stay. It was perfect the room was exactly like photos very clean and very comfortable. The bed was one of the most comfortable of my trip. The location is in the heart of Vang Vieng. The shower was perfect. I have no faults with this stay. For anyone booking this accommodation I would highly recommend and just to note that this hotel is probably the best hotel you will get in Vang Vieng. The area doesn’t have good hotels. I had to move from a previous stay because of a lot of issues. If you want a good stay in Vang Vieng this is your hotel. Other reviews complain about the price but I would say the price is good for what you get compared to the other stays in the area!!

The views are jaw dropping and so beautiful they don’t seem real! One of the most comfortable rooms we have ever stayed in, so well equipped. Great shower, super comfy bed and lots of sockets for charging. The breakfasts were superb with a huge selection of delicious food to suit all tastes. Finally the staff were all excellent and we enjoyed a fantastic New Year’s Eve party at the hotel.

Beautiful, new modern hotel and a wonderful view that I never grew tired of. Great position for spectacular sunsets and balloon watching. Nicely laid out pool area. We had a suite that was very comfortable, functional, spacious, modern and very clean with a tv in both lounge and bedroom. Location was great too.

The spa was not open. The breakfast was ok but nothing outstanding. It seemed to cover the basics but nothing was great. It’s in a large room that isn’t warm or welcoming but just like the food, serves a purpose. Staff are helpful but are very busy at times with large tour groups. No information in the room about tours or usual helpful information. No diet drinks in minibar, minibar not replenished each day nor was coffee/creamer/sugar.

- aircondition was a bit too cool and couldn't be adapted - try to avoid street view rooms, it can get noisy outside (music, street noise)

The hotel is in an incredible location with beautiful views. The balcony rooms are excellent and spacious. House keeping were wonderful. The pool is gorgeous.

There was very little for vegetarians at the breakfast, even when I asked for vegetarian noodles, I was given noodles in a broth that was not obviously vegetarian. The hotel is used for corporate functions so has that vibe somedays.

Like a paradise in the centre of Vang Vieng! We loved our stay here - the rooms were huge, super clean and with lovely bathrooms equipped with a bath and shower The pool area was so lovely with an amazing view

My boyfriend used the main toilets and witnessed a staff member come out from using the toilet without washing his hands

Great location right in the town. Could walk to restaurants, markets etc. Lots of tuk tuks around to take you wherever you wanted. Hotel was wonderful with a magnificent pool and facilities. Breakfast buffet was exceptional. We really enjoyed our stay.

Laundry was very expensive to get done. This is nothing against the hotel but it was very smokey due to the burning season. Air quality was very poor. Would not go there again in March.

Excellent location, beautiful view, large room, friendly staff

I expect more at this price range. Food and coffee at the restaurant are mediocre. Toilet paper in the bathroom is the cheapest you can buy, really the cheapest. Yes that could seem like a small detail but that says a lot about the hotel.
