Great value for money The location is perfect, very close to the subway station, making it convenient to go anywhere. There are restaurants and convenience stores nearby. The accommodation itself is great, offering complete privacy. Both the room and the capsule are well-cooled. The capsules can also be locked, making it very safe. There are also plenty of attractions nearby, all within walking distance.

The bathroom is really hot, and the ventilation needs improvement. The USB ports in the cabin don't work, but there are power outlets, so make sure to bring your own adapter. The bed is quite thin, and the soundproofing is poor—you can hear everything from the top bunk, whether it's a phone call or someone turning over in bed. But these are not major issues.

The location is one of the best things about this place being walking distance of all of the CBDs hottest tourist spots but make no mistake, the facilities and fun factor of this capsule hotel rivals even the ones in Japan. Clean bathrooms, secure lockers, cool lounge and bar. Even has a very easy-to-get-to washing machine room rarely anyone uses. The capsule itself was plenty of space , I even had room to lie down flat with 2 bags with me.

The sound proofing of the capsule was non existent but quality of noise is dependant on your neighbours. You can hear mostly everything from a bump in another capsule to 2am conversations going on outside your capsule.

The hotel is about 10 minutes' walk from the nearest train station and is located right where the night market is, as well as several tourist landmarks, so it is extremely convenient. There is a 7-11 convenience store right opposite as well. Check-in was quick and hassle-free, and the staff was professional and polite. The reception area was clean and had couches, chairs and a long table with power extension cords, so you can just hang around and charge your devices while chatting with mates. Water dispenser is available too. The capsule was very clean and comfortable, and spacious enough for one person. I'm 170cm tall and when I sat upright, there was still about 30cm of room above my head. A locker is provided for each capsule, but it is very shallow and cannot really fit any luggage, so you will have to just leave your bags out in the common area outside your capsule, or take it with you into your capsule. Shared bathroom was relatively clean. Towel was provided, and the bathrooms come equipped with shower gel, shampoo and air dryer. All in all, I would say it is good value for money.

The downside is that you can hear and feel your neighbour if he/she moves around in the capsule, and when moving in/out, as the sound-proofing isn't really the best; but it didn't really bother me too much.

It's in the heart of Chinatown. The Pasar Seni LRT Station is half a kilometre away. Moreover, Bukit Bintang and Pavilion are just close by but yes, walking is in the workout.

Climbing up two flights of stairs to reach the premises of Space Hotel. If you have heavy bags and a tiresome trip from travelling, it's very, very unpleasant.

they take security very seriously. you need card to access the locker, room, and your capsule. you don't need to worry about your things being exposed to strangers. i am a smaller person and the area of the capsule is just nice for me to chill and rest when i am not out and about. the shower and toilet area is very clean when i visited. there is a laundry area so you can do yours in the hotel, very convenient even though I didn't use it because i am a local. a fuss-free check in and out process. the location is ideal for day travelers who do everything on foot as long as the streets are busy in the morning/afternoon, there are a few pretty nice cafes in the area as well.

location is, however, a negative for night solo travelers. the train station is a good distance away from the hotel (15 minutes brisk walk), and the streets are filled with unsavory people (i had to run away from a creepy guy who saw me walking alone back to the hotel and he tried to mug me or do something bad at 9:40pm ish when the nightlife is just getting started) and had lack of lighting/streetlights at night. also, this hotel is on the other end of the long petaling street away from all the nightlife, train station and cafe, so there are almost zero activity in the area at night. after 9pm, the area will be dark and isolated. if you really had to go out at night, i recommend that you take a trusted taxi or grab that sends you directly to this hotel.

Brilliant experience

The staff didn’t speak English and was rude several times to me, even one time splashing water at me in the toilet, and laughing amongst themselves.

I have a fair amount of experience of staying in capsule hotels, but the Space Hotel definitely ranks as one of the best. Aside from the fun theme, which has been really well done, the bed was possibly the most comfortable I've encountered in a capsule hotel, and it had the advantage that that the capsule itself locked. This was a novelty to me as my previous experiences had all been in Japan, where the law prevents capsule hotels from installing locks on individual capsules. Inside the capsule, you'll find a safe, two USB ports and two headphone jacks, a TV, lighted mirror, and a couple of small storage shelves. Small lockers are located in the capsule rooms and larger luggage can be stored either in the rooms (if space is available) or at reception. Aircon controls in the capsule meant that I could keep the temperature at a comfortable level. The hotel is well-located, just a couple of minutes from Chinatown, near to the bus station for buses to KLIA airport and a short walk from Masjid Jamek train station (from where you can catch the metro or ride 2 stops to KL Sentral for transit connections to the airport and other parts of the city).

The doors to the capsule rooms, the capsules themselves, and the lockers are card-activated, and make a noise when the card is swiped to open them. This can get quite annoying late at night and disturb sleep if lots of people are coming in and out, or if someone is opening and closing their capsule or lockers a lot. It would be better if these noises were deactivated after a certain time of night (e.g. midnight). The USB ports do not charge mobile phones or battery banks quickly. I charged a battery bank overnight and it barely got up to 50% charge in 10 hours. There is a 3-pin plug socket, which appears to work a bit better.

- very clean - good security - very comfy mattress and pillows (you get two pillows of different type) - showers clean with very hot water and very high pressure - international style power socket in capsule means I don’t need any adapters - free filtered water (hot/cold), free tea - free to borrow flip flops - great location (although not so much for nightlife, which is a 15-25 minute walk) - very friendly and polite staff who always greet you with a smile - balcony / patio area - good wifi - met some cool people!

- inside of capsule can be very warm, hot--usually 28-31 degrees, unless the wall AC is running in which case the capsule is more like 24-25 - no trash can in dorm room  - very bad smell in the stairwell  - night shift reception doesn't speak much English Would have been nice: - more hangers and places to hang things, more surface area inside the capsule to put things on - a larger common area with a bit more comfortable seating

I had a fantastic stay at Space Hotel @ Chinatown Kuala Lumpur! Despite being a budget hotel, the experience exceeded my expectations. The staff were incredible – always friendly, attentive, and truly there to help whenever needed. They went above and beyond to make sure I had a comfortable stay, and it made a big difference. What really stood out was how clean the place was! The staff were constantly cleaning throughout the day, ensuring the hotel was spotless and in great condition.
